Been a beautiful day here. did an acrylic painting class this morning. Think Daisy did a similar one sometime ago. Really enjoyed it especially as the class I’ve signed up for has been cancelled for the past three weeks!
Had a lovely walk this afternoon and DD popped in on her way home from hockey. She’s open water swimming tomorrow morning!
I had to smile when she told m what one of my readers said to the teacher. She’d told them that I was coming in to hear them read and one of them said: Is that the old lady? Not sure whether to laugh or cry!!!

Just looked at the photos Gem.

We have had a lovely day. Went to the supermarket early.
Came home,both got our jobs done. Had dinner, then we had a walk down to the bungalow.
Stayed for about an hour and a half. Had a cuppa and a nice catch up.

Yes Plant,be careful now before you go on holiday, don't want you getting covid again.

Oma, i'm with B, i'd have the steak. Got some lovely sirloin steaks in the freezer.
I might cook them one day in the week.

We've had a beautiful sunny day here with clear blue skies. Lunch in the garden, and then I thought I'd read for a bit, but fell asleep for about an hour. The rest of the day has been washing, ironing (all finished!!!!!!!) and still sorting out bits and pieces. Upstairs is finally looking more orderly.

DS1 and DIL1 are coming down tomorrow, and OH is hoping to do a bit of work on the loft.

Forgive me for not reading back tonight - I'm more than ready for my bed. Night, night.

DS1 and GD2 coming for dinner. Beef joint is in the slow cooker.
Cooked apples and blackberries for a crumble. I think there will be enough to make a pie for the freezer.

Morning Nanto/ladies

Its a lovely bright morning but nippy ,

Didnt have a good night so I did my downstairs dusting and polishing while I was up ,
Only the hoovering and put Towels in the wash after we had our showers this morning .

I cleaned the bedrooms and bathroom yesterday ,
While I was doing that I filled the bucket with soapy water and put my hair brushes in to soak and clean,
Well I totally forgot about them .
Got up this morning turned bathroom light on and there was the bucket in the corner of the shower with the brushes still in .
If nothing else they got a good clean 😁

B doing aChicken roast dinner for Tea today , looking forward to that ,

Hope you slept well , you must be shattered all that moving stuff around , we lucky as it’s our SILs business when we get new carpets he along with the lad he employs does all the heavy lifting for us but just putting things straight is a hard job.

Booster jabs at 10.15 are the only thing on the agenda today. So many people have felt ill after this one, but I know ladies on here have not, so we are crossing our fingers.

Oma, your SIL is a treasure! But the chap who did our carpets was also helpful with moving things and he's done a really good job. So no complaints. Your brushes must be super-clean after such a long soak.

Nanto, enjoy your meal with your DS and GD2. Apple and blackberry crumble - yummy. I hardly ever make crumbles because OH doesn't like them! How can you not like a crumble.

All this talk of food is mouth-watering. I'm not sure a bowl of cereal for breakfast will fix it!

Yes, thank you, I slept well. I'm just going for a shower and then sorting out food for the day. I've defrosted some spiced carrot and coriander soup for lunch, and cooked the mince for a cottage pie for later. I need to get on and make some cake, probably banana bread and flapjacks.

Not sure what we're going to do today, but I expect OH will ask DS1 to help him put his computer back and set it up again. Mine is easy - just plug it in and it works.

Well MIL has had us all on our toes again .
She rang B in tears she got a letter yesterday and didn’t open it till this morning informing her she had to change her password etc on her email by tomorrow or they would close her email account ,
Apparently they sent her a letter in August and she ignored it and didn’t tell us about it .

B said I can’t come today but I will come tomorrow and sort it stop worrying about it .
Well no she wanted it done today as his sister is going tomorrow to take her out .
B said then she can sort it while she was there save him going over and he would ring her and tell her.

He rang his sister told her about it and she said she would ring the other sister who lives near MIL and get her to go up today and do it .

His other Sister rang and said she would go and get it sorted but to read out the letter to her first so she knew who to ring .

Turned out it was only having to change her email address as BT had been amalgamated with shell and it didn’t actually have to be done till the 17th of next month and no mention of her password.

So His other sister said why did you cry on the phone and tell B it had to be done by tomorrow ,
She said because I want it done today and I thought he would come straight over 😡🙄.

So on a whim she had us all phoning around trying to sort something quickly to calm her down when there is still over a month to do it .

His Sister is still going to do it today so it’s done but there was no need for all the drama 🙄

Goodness me Oma, how naughty is that, your Mil acts like a spoilt child. Did her OH spoil her?

We are going to DS and Dil’s for lunch today, it is for my birthday as they are busy next Sunday and I shall be away for my birthday. I am wondering how GGD2 is today, she was still poorly yesterday. GD1 and her OH have decided not to come to Normandy with us in case his mother is near the end.
Of course we are very disappointed but they must do what they think is best. GS1 and his family are still coming and then they are going on to Disneyland, we have to keep that a secret as the children don’t know. Sil has booked us into the Premier Inn in Poole the day before so we don;’t have to leave here at 5.00am.

Daisy, I hope you can get some rest now and admire your new carpets.

Good morning everyone, sorry for not posting, I have come to the conclusion that the operation hasn't worked out like it should, I blame the catheter having to go in, I heard the specialist saying he would rather it not be used! It maybe isn't that at all, but, I am having one of my "dark" days! I am keeping to the rules and I will do so then whatever it is it won't be my fault. I was really hoping that it would be a success.

Oma, your MIL really wants attention doesn't she.

Gem, my friend in the UK had her booster on Friday and was ill from it yesterday, her DH exactly the same. I have just received my letter from the surgery for the flu jab.

Enjoy the beef dinner Nanto, I did a chicken leg in the air fryer yesterday, it was delicious.

Good Morning everyone,
Nanto Apple & Blackberry crumble was a firm favourite of mine mum used to send my sister & I to pick blackberries from the hedgerows when we where youngsters for Sunday lunch I have never been able to make the custard as good as she did.

Something is wrong locally with the BBand connection here abouts it has been dropping out again the past few days I have seen the Openreach (BT Van) working in the Road so hopefully they have sorted out the problem.

Such a strange thing happened yesterday when I went out side to drop my recycling in the bin some kind soul had dumped a 15kg empty gas bottle and the gas fire it fits on my front drive way at first I thought it was a ful bottle and been delivered to the wrong address but why the fire ? after checking with my neighbours I was told someone had dropped it off from the back of a car at 9.30am in the morning, Graham my DDs partner says the fire is obsolete and now banned so someone has obviously flyskipped it and drove off how awful is that ??

This morning I have done all the veg for lunch today and put in the steamer Jim & I are having chicken pie from M&S for our Sunday lunch and he is having rice pudding for dessert he just loves rice pudding he is not too well at the minute he seems to be finding things difficult but I keep an eye on him.

What a great result for Liverpool to be hosting the Eurovision Song contest next year such a great City to be hosting it with all the musical history from the City over the years,listening to local radio today the tickets are already sold out which does not surprise me one bit but what a lot of business it will bring to Liverpool I intend to go over and soak up the atmosphere when its on.

My DD is calling in today she is picking up a baby changing unit she is buying for future GS due in March she saw it on Marketplace on FB at a really good price she is stocking up with baby stuff for DGS3's & his partner she has already been to JL for cute little baby clothes in their sale and got some good bargains she can't help herself when it comes to baby buying.
Graham bought her a fab picture in a Liverpool blingy shop very off the wall but so apt reminds me of Joanna Lumley in AdFab years ago sitting onthe loo with curlers in her hair it will not go down well with future MIL but I found it hilarious

Off now to do some housework it needs to be done

Plant , FIL didn’t spoil MIL but had no control of her nasty attitude ,
He could lose his temper but mainly he just let her get on with it for a easy life , so she’s always had her own way in one form or other.
