Good to here the injection is making your knees much better , You will be skipping along nicely now 🤣🤣🤣

Your spare wool will go to good use , I remember when I knit there was always wool that I couldn’t use , not enough to make a garment with but too much to just leave .
At the time our WRVS used to take spare wool for projects like that and for the prem baby unit
I would wait till I had a bag full them pop it into them .

    Lizzie
So annoying when you can’t get through on the phone , hope it’s sorted soon ,

We get a automatic appointment for Mammograms till we’re 70 then you have to make your own every two years if you want them .
Im not sure how old you have to be before you stop .
I have always said I will keep getting them as long as I can .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

We ended up eating at the pub. Sis in law and hubby went with us.

Gem, hope you have a lovely visit with your mum.
Well done to S for winning.

Enfys, that's wonderful news about your knees. My friend had a similar result. It will make so much difference to you.
In my case it's better, there is improvement, but still pain and stiffness. I think replacement is the next step for me.

Oma you can have mammograms for as long as you want I believe. After 70 you have to request them.

I hope there was no frost for dog training Daisy.

Aquafit was good as usual. Daisy the water was the coldest we have known it. Everyone was complaining!
Mum was on quite good form. She enjoyed her vanilla slice and I trimmed her hair. She was looking a bit like the wild woman of Borneo, and looks much nearer and more like herself now. We had a nice chat but you can tell she's tired by the end of the visit.
Baby is as adorable as ever today . Quite nice having him to stay the night without having to do the night feeds

Plant, poor SIL. Being ill is no w ay to celebrate a birthday. I hope he's well enough to go away at the week-end. Did you enjoy your board games afternoon?

Oma, I remember seeing a photo of your GS1 with his long-time friend. It's lovely when they have such great friendships, isn't it. Eva did very well at training. She's still a bit uncomfortable around one of the new dogs, but is getting better. She's now fast asleep in front of the log burner - she hasn't even asked for her dinner yet!

Lizzie, how frustrating when you can't get hold of people, and each time you have to go through a long rigmarole on the phone just to speak to a human being (if you're lucky). I hope the weather warms up a bit for you soon.

Enfys, I'm so pleased to hear your knees are so much better. It must make such a difference just to everyday life, let alone going out anywhere. I think knitting toys is very clever - they always look so complicated.

Nanto, what did you have for lunch at the pub? Nice to have company as well.

Gem, I think you're right about being able to request mammograms every two years for as long as you want. I have been very lax and haven't had any since I was 70, but going to the big hospital is a nightmare - I must try and time it for when the mobile unit is in the area. How was your Mum this afternoon? No wonder everyone was complaining if the water was colder than usual. On a day like this you want it as warm as possible! I'm glad your knee is a bit less painful, but not a nice prospect if you really need a replacement.

It's time I dragged myself away from the fireside and went and got dinner ready. I've got a casserole that just needs reheating, so a nice easy meal tonight.

            Good morning all

Enfys so pleased to hear that your knees are a lot better.

I had a mammogram two years ago and was told more or less the same as everyone here, if I want another one I can request one. I asked why it stops at 70 I was told that more miss diagnosis occurs after the age of 70 .Do our breasts change with age to make diagnosis harder I wonder?

Yesterday I cleaned the windows and I have to admit it's a job I haven't done since well before Christmas and boy were they dirty !! Afterwards it rained 😭
OH was able to tidy the garden and also to make room in the shed for the new water feature and two new planters that arrived yesterday. They will stay there until spring arrives.

Eldest DS is coming for lunch today I think we may have sausage casserole, not too keen myself but they seem to enjoy it.

Had a chat with SIL and she suggested that seeing as it's our 50th wedding anniversary in June and her 46th two days later we should have a weekend away . BIL is going to have a look at some cottage/ caravan accommodation once he gets over the shock of seeing their gas bill 😳

Only noticed on Monday that I hadn't booked a Tesco delivery for tomorrow luckily I have been able to book one for Saturday.
Imagine me sitting waiting for Tesco to arrive and then complaining to customer service that my grocery order hadn't arrived.

            Have a good day everyone

              Good morning. No frost again.

Mimi,a weekend away for your anniversary is a good idea.
We went away for our 50th 4½ years ago.
Typical for it to rain when you have just cleaned the windows.

Only plans for today,is to put some darks in to wash.

Dinner will be chicken leek and mushroom pie, with mash.I haven't decided which veg yet. Oh and gravy.

                Good morning everyone.

Mimi I feel mammograms stopping at 70 is purely due to the cost to the NHS.

Nan2, the pie sounds good, especially for a cold day.

Daisy, I love previously cooked meals that I just have to reheat
I did mushroom stroganoff for OH, DD3 and me last night with rice and garlic bread. Not sure whether DD and baby are staying here tonight but its OH's turn to cook anyway.

No plans for me today apart from a Tesco delivery . Golf for OH, and DD and baby are going to someone's house for part of the day at least. They may be back later they may not, I wait to be told

Have a nice day ladies. Sending love to anyone looking in but not posting at the moment xxx

Good morning, at least the sun is coming through here, it is still a bitter cold wind though, that may improve.

Gem, you will be enjoying having your DD and the baby.

Mammograms are every 2 years here until your 75th, then, they stop!

Mimi, I often think the same when I do my windows, always seems to rain. With having a deep balcony etc it isn't very often it rains on the windows though, usually doing a storm.

I am going to " better movement" at 10am then call at the Lidl, they hadn't got the fruit and veg in early this morning.

Good morning, chilly again. No frost though. Shopping will be delivered soon then I’m off to my knitting group at the local community cafe. It will be nice and warm there and it’s not far, only. Few minutes drive.

I love batch cooking, means there’s always something in the freezer to reheat. That’s what I’m doing today, I won’t be home until just after 1 so a nice quick meal is just what I’ll want,

                    have a good day everyone.

I absolutely love Mushroom stroganoff, better than beef one any day .

Italways rains when our window cleaner comes ,
I must do the inside of my Paris windows later , Storm decided to sneeze on them yesterday then lick it off 😋

                      Nanto
My DD and SIL are both 50 in June they are talking about a holiday to celebrate too 😁

I will catch up with everyone later xx

No frost, sun or rain here just a bit windy and dull. I need to find a fluorescent bulb, trying a different shop today. I hope Sil will feel a bit better today. They don’t go on holiday until Mon so unless DD gets Covid they should be able to go on holiday. My squirrel proof bird feeder has defeated the squirrels so the birds are able to get some food and the ground feeders are too with the bits that drop. Sorry squirrels but there must be loads of food in the woods behind us. I am going to put chicken and veg in my slow cooker today before I go out.

Need to pop in later, must get a shift on.

                          Rain here.

I said I was doing nothing today, but I am going to Vue cinema to see a live streaming of The Crucible from the National at 7! I keep forgetting.
I feel quite 'coldy' today so I am hoping it wont come to anything and I will feel up to going. I am going by myself so no one to let down if I don't go.

Good Thursday morning everyone. We had an early start as OH had a tip run booked for 9 am and had to connect trailer to car first! I'd just got dressed when OpenReach arrived to do the survey and check everything for our fibre installation. We haven't got a date yet, but hopefully soon!

Gem, does rain mean it's a bit warmer? I do hope you're ok to go to see the live streaming. Do you have to drive to the cinema? It's great that your DD can come and go as she pleases to your house, and know she and baby E are always welcome.

Plant, it used to be easy to get light bulbs didn't it. Now it seems there are so many different kinds I find it quite confusing. Fingers crossed for your DD and SIL's holiday! I'm pleased with the two squirrel-proof feeders we've got. I do still have one ordinary feeder that squirrels make the most of, but it's quite small and fewer squirrels are getting on it. Eva chases them off if she spots them! She'd have no idea what to do with it if she did catch one, though!

Oma, how was your MIL today? I hope she was in a good mood. I laughed out loud at Storm sneezing on your patio windows and then cleaning them up afterwards. Cooper leaves his mark on any glass he comes into contact with - car, doors, windows and the glass sides of the bannisters - all fair game.

Enfys, what are you knitting at present? I haven't done much since GD1 went back to school, but she is still doing some. She finds it relaxing.

Lizzie, I love all the different classes you go to at the gym. They must make a real difference to you.

Mimi, I always expect it to rain when the window cleaners have been - and usually we seem to have Cooper here just afterwards as well (see above!) It's a good job you remembered to do your Tesco order in time! I have to write it on the calendar when I've booked a delivery, otherwise I'd never remember.

Nanto, I love chicken, leek and mushroom pie. I have tried making it but my pastry always seems to collapse. They taste fine but look awful!

                              Afternoon ladies ,
Well MIL wasn’t too bad today , did moan but wasn’t as bad ,
I changed her bedding while B fixed a new bath plug for her ,
Put her recycle bin out ,
Folded and put ironing upstairs so all she needs to do is sort the basket out and put stuff away where she wants it .
Made sure I put the washing basket on her chair this time , last time I put it on bottom of bed and she went off on one with me !
B put a hot pot , shepherds pie, fish pie in the freezer for her ,left a hot pot out for tea ( we took two ) then carried her hoover downstairs.

She is still complaining about the new washer and hoover but we ignored her and she stopped after a few minutes realising we were not listening
So all in all not a bad visit 😁

Came home and called in Aldi on way so now going to have lunch and relax xx

No success with the fluorescent tube replacement or fridge bulb. There is a small electrical shop I want to try but the road is closed to get to it and have to make a wide detour. I have almost changed all the wall light bulbs with the new bulbs we are supposed to be using now. I have just managed to shoot celery soup over me, worktop, cupboard and floor. I have cleaned it up but I think I will give it another clean.

Oma, pleased the visit to Mil was not a difficult one, pretending not to listen is a good tactic. Have you been watching the Robson Green programme on at 6.30 on BBC2, I am really enjoying it, beautiful part of the country the NE.
