Hello everyone. I'm too late to say good morning, I see! It's nice and sunny here, but definitely getting cooler.
Nanto, what a pretty graphic. Thank you. I hope Tommie's scan goes well. Are your new glasses a different style? Very happy birthday to your GD. x
Gem, what rotten bad luck to have problem with that tooth when you've got a nice week-end planned. I hope you can get it treated today.
Plant, I haven't been to Blenheim Palace for a while, but it's a lovely day out. I admit though, I like the grounds better than the house. I hope you enjoy it.
WeeGranny, how is your cold today?
Lizzie, have you finished your body warmer yet?
Oma, it sounds as though you need that nana nap this afternoon, but at least MIL wasn't at her worst. It's a good job your tooth isn't painful, waiting so long for an appointment.
We're having a lightish grey carpets right through. It's a balancing act between wanting them to not show the odd mark and not show every single dog hair! We're still busy sorting, tidying and moving stuff round. OH took a huge box of things to our village charity shop this morning - lots of toys, knick-knacks, a few ornaments and other bits and pieces. We've just stopped for a bit of lunch and then back to the sorting.

The tooth is coming out this afternoon
As I suspected the small pocket of infection which had been there some time has spread and that's the cause of my pain. I'm not one for crying out in pain but when I had to bite down for the X ray I couldn't help it! I really don't want another tooth out, especially with the dreaded dry socket complication. The roots are small and hard to see which would mean going to a specialist dentist for root canal. As the tooth is mainly filling it's not worth doing that.
My appointment is at 3.30. I really hope OH is back to take me.
From the dentist I went to M&S for some things to take with us.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Hallo everyone, a quick visit, it is a beautiful sunny day, warm with it, GD2 sent me a message, would I like her to come? She came, they have a "study day" at school, the teachers study and the children stay home! I was sat sewing, I have got rid of the fluff now Oma, all ready to get the lining in tomorrow, never again with that fake fur!!!
GD2 hoovered through for me, my doormat is navy and shows all my lovely white hairs plus all the bits and pieces from the sewing, I was pleased it was done so took her for a lunch to the village, we also called in her favourite shop, the bead paradise!! I got her 2 bracelets whilst we were there. That is what we do, spoil them!
She was telling me about a girl in her class, it is my friends GD1, the friend with alzeimers.
Gem, I hope the tooth gets settled and that it doesn't spoil your weekend away, I also hope that the weather is like it is here today!
Daisy, we all need a sort out now and again, it will all look nice and tidy when the new carpet gets fitted.
Now back to the machine to do the edges then just the lining tomorrow.

New glasses are fine. They are different but similar to my others,if that makes sense.
On the way home we called at hubby's sisters. Thats a 3 hour job.
When we get together,we can talk a glass eye to sleep.
Oma, GD isn't doing anything special for her birthday.
Tommie's appointment isn't until 3.30, so i'll give her time to get home, then ring her.
Lizzie, the sewing sounds to be coming along nicely.
Bless your GD for hoovering for you.
Gem,hope all goes well at the dentist later.
We have had a couple of heavy showers this afternoon.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Gem hopefully by the time you get to read this your tooth is out and you are feeling better.
Nan2 hope its good news about Tommie
Hope everyone is keeping welll
We have just come back from having our flu vaccine. Luckily our local chemist is doing free NHS vaccines so we didn't have to walk far for it . It's just 5 mins from where we live.
Also the crematorium is just 6 mins away from us . We were there yesterday for a funeral and there again tomorrow afternoon.
At yesterday's funeral we were given balloons to release at 7pm . We had two which I tied to my handbag thinking they would be secure but DS rang me and in my haste to retrieve my phone from my handbag one balloon escaped.as I was talking to DS .
Imagine if you can two OAPs chasing a balloon across a field while one of them is talking, albeit breathlessly, to DS . He thought I was being attacked.
Needless to say we didn't catch it .Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Nanto, I'm so pleased Tommie's scan was clear. It's good they are doing another one in 6 months - better safe than sorry.
Gem, it sounds as though that tooth didn't want to come out, but hopefully you will avoid the dry socket this time and will be able to enjoy your weekend.
Mimi. I would have loved to see you chasing that balloon. It's easy to come unstuck with some funerals these days. Just before lockdown I went to the funeral of a neighbour who had passed away very suddenly. We were each given a rose as we left the church. I didn't realise it was a burial and the roses were to throw on the coffin, and not wanting to go to the crematorium (as I thought) I went home with mine! When I realised I felt very guilty, but another neighbour had been away and unable to go, so I gave it to her instead. I hope your arm isn't sore from the flu jab tomorrow.
Lizzie, both your GDs sound lovely, helpful girls. They definitely deserve spoiling. I imagine you've done the most difficult part of the bodywarmer now?
Plant, how are you after your trip to Blenheim palace?
Oma, did you get your nana nap? Sleep well tonight.
We're still sorting things out and moving furniture. Our neighbour came round and helped to move a heavy old desk and a big cupboard. The landing looks like an obstacle course!
Another busy and tiring day, but we're getting there and it will be well worth it.

Good (early) morning, I am feeling more myself with each day that passes, I still get tired but a nap helps!
Yes Daisy, the most difficult parts of the sewing are done, I hope to get it lined today.
About funerals, 5 years ago the baby of DS2's best friend died, she had SMA with no chance of survival, she was only 6 months old, I went to the cremation and as we entered we all got a butterfly to place on the little coffin. Whilst going to place mine I tripped over the rug? and almost fell, I thought no one had noticed but the father of the baby told DS2 that I almost fell and if it had been any other time or place he could have laughed!
Gem, I am pleased the tooth is out, enjoy the weekend!
Nanto, I am pleased the scan was clear.xx
Daisy, the girls are helpful, I spoil them anyway! I hope that you soon get the rooms sorted when the carpet fitter has been.
It is going to be another nice day so I will get some washing done, wind and rain forecast all the weekend.
