It's the upheaval isn't it when getting carpets down, everything has to be out and you have to find places for them . Gets worse before it gets better

Got a little shopping to do today then we have a new leaf blower sucky upper coming,
our old one has so much duck tape on the bag trying to keep the leaves in its more tape than bag .

Good morning everyone.

I slept quite well and woke for painkillers just before 6. It was a very comfy bed and I feel sleepy and drugged this morning, although I know I have only had ibuprofen!
It's a lovely house with a bathroom for each couple. There is plenty of food and enough wine and chocolate to last a long time!

As Oma said, eating will difficult for me while we are here, so I will make free with the chocolate and trifle 😊

The dentist made me an appointment for Monday morning in the expectation of dry socket. If I'm lucky and don't get it this time I will cancel.

Oma, I feel remarkably good considering the walking I did yesterday. The house is huge and we did a lot of walking in the grounds. I managed to keep up with my two friends.

Daisy, I love having new carpets but it does make for an upheaval.

Lizzie, Well done GD for helping you. I hope you will feel stronger soon.

My GD has just contacted me, she is not working today and wondered if I would like to spend some time with her and baby H.

Nanto, what a lovely colourful avatar. Beef casserole sounds just right for a chilly day.

Lizzie, I'm pleased to hear you're feeling a little better every day. You will make short work of that lining now, and it's just in time for the chilly days ahead. I'd love to see a photo when it's finished. I think we all spoil our grandchildren one way or another, but that's our role, isn't it.

Plant, you did very well yesterday. The Palace is huge and so are the grounds, Well done for keeping up with the others. It sounds as though today will be busy as well with little H keeping you on your toes. Have a lovely time.

Gem, so far so good with the tooth. I do hope you don't get dry socket again. Fingers crossed. Enjoy your week-end and tuck into the chocolate and trifle with a clear conscience. I'm sure wine has antiseptic and healing properties if drunk in sufficient quantities.

Oma, I bet you use your leaf blower a lot with all those trees, but they're such good time savers, aren't they. We need to do round the horse chestnut tree, although it's on the pavement the debris gets squashed and trodden into our house if we don't keep it clean. There are quite a few oak and HC trees around our estate and most people just leave it all for the Council to sweep up, but I think the acorns especially are dangerous for those who aren't too steady on their feet.

Domestic chaos continues here! OH was hoping to leave stuff in some wall cupboards in his playroom, but he will have to empty them as they are in danger of being too heavy to stay on the wall without the desk underneath to support them. But I'm so pleased he decided to recarpet that room, it looks even worse than I thought. It might even get a lick of paint. I need to sort the bookcase out today. Books seem to breed on it somehow!

It is still dry here but getting windy. I want to go to the library at 6pm, I am listening to Steve Wright first.

I have finished the body warmer, I will see if the photo's work, the first one is the one I made 20 years ago! I used that to draw the pattern for number 2!

Dark and wet here too Oma.

Daisy, I wasn't allowed alcohol for the first 24 hours after having the tooth out, but I can have some tonight

We had a lazy chatty morning, then we all went the tour of the little Georgian theatre. It was raining slightly when we went into the theatre and more heavily when we came out, we found a lovely little cafe near the theatre where we had lunch.
We then separated and wandered round some shops. The rain became really heavy so OH and I headed back. Two other couples were not far behind us, not sure where the last two are! The final couple are arriving later today, with their dog, so we shall be a party of 10 for the rest of the time(plus dog)

A bit of rain is ok but when it’s heavy being indoors is best place ,
