Morning all

Oma isn't he adorable as you say , they will regret teaching him all about stairs .

It's very cold and windy outside today We have just come in from a walk in the sunshine but there wasn't much warmth in it.

I had a text message from my engery supplier this morning. Our 12 month contract is ending soon and I have been given a quote for a new tariff. I have looked on line for new quotes from other companies but there isn't anything outthere worthwhile.

Yesterday OH asked what shall we have for lunch tomorrow I said surprise me, look in the freezer and put something in the fridge to defrost. Several hours later I happened to look in the fridge and what did I see sitting on a plate, quietly defrosting...Stewing beef.... Remember the saga of our never ending stew some weeks ago... Well here we go again The slow cooker is on as I type


SIL and BIL have booked all 4 of us a weekend breakaway in Cambridge in June to celebrate our combined wedding anniversary Really looking forward with it as the break is just what we need

Younger DS is 46 today . I will never forget his delivery, all done and dusted in just under 4 hours. He hasn't changed much, he is always in a hurry and if he says he will be with you a certain time, he will be, not a minute later !

We went for coffee after our class and I met an old neighbour, he is 83 this year and still goes twice a week, the first thing he mentioned was the cakes etc I used to make. He said he has never again tasted "oil balls" at New Year like I used to make, there is me hanging my head in shame, I haven't bothered making them for a few years now.

Then walking home I met a young man that lives opposite here so I walked home with him, there was a burglary in the flat the other day, exactly the same as in this one, this one was on the first floor. I saw the police there when I took my bike to Josef yesterday, he is a kind man Daisy, a very nice couple, he has just had 18 radiation treatments for his prostate, apparently is has been removed and treatment was for the local area, he has to go next week for the results.

Oma, yes Finn will head for the stairs now, at least he knows what he can do on them. Oma, yes, Lidl and Aldi often just get a few items in that are on offer, when it was freezing I met a neighbour in the lift, he was telling me had been to the Lidl early as boxer shorts were on offer and he just managed to get 2 his size! As if I am interested in his boxers!!!!! Time soon seems to fly by Oma, especially when someone close passes away.xx

Oma, what a lovely photo. He'll be making for the stairs whenever he can.

I made some lemon muffins(buns as we call them in Yorkshire) in the air fryer.
I've done all the usual things in the air fryer and baked pies and crumbles, but haven't done anything cakey.
The buns are a bit mishapen. I'll let you know later what they are like. Iced them with leomon icing.
If they are ok, the uniced ones will go in the freezer.

Your DS is my type of person being on time is good mannered ,
My DS is atrocious at time keeping , but if he says he will be there at say 2 pm it could be anytime or not at all then no text to say so . Drives me mad as we are always on time .
Different if it’s a unforeseen thing but just not to turn up at all and not say so makes me angry with him .

He wasn’t overly concerned about my BP said it had been worse ,
He has given me some meds for my tremors to try they basically what is used for epilepsy sort of a beta blocker , said they should help with my BP too ,
Got to take one a day for 3 days see if makes a difference then I can increase to 2 or 3 a day till it helps.

Im not expecting miracles but if it calms it down I will be happy .
He was surprised how bad they were , as it happens today was a particularly bad day for them so he got the full show 😁

Oma, he really is a bonny baby. I'm sure he'll master going up and down stairs very quickly - he looks a bright little button. Thank goodness the doctor wasn't too concerned with your BP, and I hope the beta blockers will help with the tremors.

Mimi, I bet I can guess what you *won't* be having for dinner tomorrow! Very happy birthday to your younger DS.

Nanto, those lemon muffins look good enough to eat! They've risen nicely, and muffins and fairy cakes etc can go a funny shape being cooked in an ordinary oven.

Plant, you certainly had a good sleep last night. It was thoughtful of your GD1 to invite you on their day out, even though you had other plans. The caravan will be serviced here. It's hard to find service engineers who come out to the caravan, but it saves us a lot of hassle not having to take it somewhere and then bring it back again. The chap who usually does it is so booked up he couldn't even give us a date!

Lizzie, those boots look very warm and comfortable. It's nice when you can rely on something like jeans fitting! At least the police went to investigate the burglary. I think here you are more likely to just get a crime number. I hope your bike repairer, Josef, gets the all clear when he goes for his results next week.

It's been another busy day. I took Eva out for a walk this morning, came home, got lunch and then went out to dog training. OH greeted me with a nice hot cup of tea which was most welcome!

Braising steak with mushrooms and onions today. Mashed potatoes and sprouts.

Bro in law works for a fruit and veg firm,his boss gave him a bag of sprouts.

Daisy, a cup of tea is always a good way to be welcomed home.

It was lovely to see C and P yesterday, and C looks very well. It is her second dose of Chemo next Tuesday. They saw DD and SIL3 and baby when they came back in, as C insisted they came into the living room. She didn't hold the baby though, much as she would have liked to!
Just SIL and baby coming today as DD will be working. They will have the house to themselves in the afternoon as OH will be playing golf and I shall be visiting my mum.
Telephone hospital appointment for OH this morning. This is to replace the in-person one she had to miss before Christmas due to traffic around the hospital being so bad she couldn't get in to park in time.

I am planning to go to the tip today to get rid of the card and paper. It is very quiet weather today, no wind and some sunshine. I had my car cleaned yesterday, it was really dirty. No other plans.

Been a busy morning ,
Went to Sainsburys to get MIL some shopping , took it over ,same old misery when we got there but picked up before we came home , she has taken up knitting again so we hopeful that will occupy her mind a bit .
Put her meals we made in the freezer , changed some light bulbs and put the bin out .
From there we went to Morrisons .

On way home my Brothers oldest girl rang to say my Sister in law had had a bad fall and a head injury last night ,
I got home and rang her , she had spent hours in Hospital last night with a bump on the side of her head as big as a fist .

She had slipped on a restaurant floor fell against a counter then went head first into the floor .
He sister was with her and said could hear the crack across the room .

Luckily it’s not fractured but soft tissue injury
She was still in bed when I rang and her neighbour was going in to make her some lunch.
My niece had been in before work and another niece going this afternoon .

I then rang my Sister to let her know , so now I’m going to havea cup of tea and some lunch ,
DD coming soon to show us her new car ,so it’s all go 🙄😁

All good with OH's phone appointment. Oncologist is happy for OH to go to once rather than twice year appointments. He also suggested she could come off the Anastrozole, but she's not ready for that. Neither would I be. He says he has used her as an example to a lot of patients newly diagnosed with secondary breast cancer.

Hellos everyone. I'm just showing my face but will be back properly later. Things never seem to go smoothly and we've had a whole new set of problems with the installation of fibre to the property for our broadband. I'll tell you the sorry tale when I come back later!
