Good morning everyone. It's threatening rain here, but much milder than recently, thank goodness.

Nanto - so glad about the wind!

Oma - I hope the visit to the optician isn't too hard on the bank account! How is GS1 today?

Gem - yes, very wise for GS1 not to go to his martial arts class this week. I'm sure you all wish the children could have stayed home from school as well. At least OH is safely outside on the golf course.

Mimi - it's good to have a change of 'look' with your new glasses. I had to laugh at your 5 year old GS asking about how many sleeps to that event in December!! Hopefully, one day your sons will get over their differences, but it's good that they both come to see you. I love the tranquility of Japanese type gardens, and it sounds as though yours is beautiful. What a thoughtful OH to have got the Buddha. I hope he (the Buddha) helps. xx

I'm going on a shopping spree this morning! On my own. I'm sure this makes OH very nervous. I've finished planting all the things in pots from when the patio was being done and now have lots of gaps in the borders to fill. If I don't put plants in the weeds will see their opportunity to flourish, so I'm off to the garden centre with a long list!

      Morning Nanto, love the graphic

I hope all the poorly ones and injured ones are feeling better today.

Glamm, Sounds as if you had an enjoyable time with your friend and got some jobs done too.

I have ordered some test kits from Boots on line but of course they are very busy. DD has given me one which I shall use when I am planning to go out for the first time.

Plant - it sounds as though you are feeling better - I do hope so. I hope your test kits arrive quickly. We ordered one set each last week, but it took several goes to get onto the NHS website. Hopefully supply and demand will even out in a week or two.

Daisy, no free NHS ones now, you have to buy them.

Just found your posts over the page Daisy and Mimi.

Mimi, your garden sounds very tranquil, lovely idea of your OH to add a Buddha.

Daisy, go steady at the garden center, I am like a child in a sweetie shop when I go there.

Oma, how did you get on at the opticians?

Good morning, everyone, Gem, we have always had to buy our own tests, if we needed them, I do think the school supplied them for GD2 for a few weeks, otherwise had to buy them ourselves.

The men were supposed to be coming to do the MOT on the lift so I decided that, with having to stay home, I would do the windows inside, the most I have done, just the bedrooms to do after my coffee. The men were here doing the windows on the gallery when I got home from the gym so I made them a coffee.

Daisy, you will enjoy the plant shopping! A few weeks ago I was at a garden centre and the young lady in front of me at the cash desk had so many plants, in fact I helped her with them, she said " my hubby thinks I came for one plant" !!!!! He would be surprised when she arrived home with all she had bought.

Mimi sit out with your Buddha and think zen 😁
Remember you can’t control what your grown up children do so don’t worry about them , as long as peace remains that’s all you can ask for xxx

Lizzie did you get your windows done ?

Daisy I hope you didn’t empty the bank all that plant shopping 😂

Plant how are you today ? Hope you haven’t tired yourself out ,

Well the Optician’s wasn’t as bad as I thought
I chose two different frameless pairs one for distance one for reading , not as expensive as I expected , I did think the price of glasses would have gone up but they more or less the same as always so happy with them , will take about two weeks .

We received extra tests through the post last week because B is vulnerable so gets them free still for him , but I don’t mind paying for them when need them .

Oma, yes, all the window indoors are done, when the weather improves I will do the outside, I have just been to DIL with fruit etc from my Lidl box! They all have the flu, GD2 is better but GD1 and DIL still look pale. Then DS1 is in the UK so that is no help!!! He phoned to tell me he had called in to see my BIL and I think it upset him, he said how he ever drove all that way home on his own he doesn't know. All he does is sleep or cry all day long. I phoned BIL and he was saying my DS1 had been to see him and took him to the surgery to deliver a letter.

The peaceful Buddha garden sounds lovely Mimi.

Well we decided to have a Zoom meeting with our friends tonight instead if them coming here . It felt like 2020! J has what is probably the start of a cold. However as she was on 2 retirement nights out over the weekend we daren't risk it, with our holiday and testing coming up.

Nanto - I used the biggest trolley they had and filled it! I haven't counted how many, but they are all perennials so hopefully an investment for the future. There are one or two I haven't grown before, but mostly old favourites. If it doesn't rain in the morning I'll start planting - and I'll count them!

Plant - I will be going back for more plants, I'm sure. I'll get these planted and then see where the gaps are.

Gem - good decision about having the Zoom meeting. Not long to go now. xx

Lizzie - your poor BIL sounds as the end of his tether. Amazing that he did that long drive, but how upsetting for your DS1. It's hard when you are in a different country, but I'm sure your phone calls help. Sending hugs. I hope it doesn't rain on your nice sparkly clean windows, at least for a few days.

Oma - glad the trip to the opticians went well, and not too painful on the pocket. I don't mind paying for LF tests if we need them, but we'd used ours up so getting a box each seemed sensible. I didn't really think about the fact I'd have to pay for them this week - we got them because we'd run out. I'm sure, though, it will put some people off testing.

                                Good morning all.

Sunny day here but still looking chilly.
Aqua aerobics this morning. My friend and I are travelling separately as I don't want to risk car sharing. Her partner is the one with the cold symptoms on the Zoom last night. I won't stay for coffee either, just do my class and get back home.

I hope everyone is well and has a good day.
