All this talk of fish and chips is making me wondering if I might like some. I haven’t had any for years, I must find a good one. Does your DD and family use a local one WG?
It is is my DS’s birthday today, I am going to see him later after my hairdresser has been and gone. I made a banana cake and some pastry for mince pies yesterday so must make the mince pies before she comes.

Now Gemini, do as you are told and no posting of GS2 in the Nativity. Your GS1 has an old head on his shoulders. I hope you will not get blown away today.

Oma, your elderly neighbour must love having you and B as neighbours. Pleased you were able to re-assure her and I hope all will go smoothly for her.

The sun is shining, but for how long i don't know.

We went to screwfix this morning to buy a radiator.
It's a bigger one for the bathroom.

My other 2 lazy susans came today,so they have been filled and put in the cupboard.

I had to wait in until 2pm for a delivery, after that I went for eggs, veg etc, very windy and cold with it!

            I had a nice day

Nice catch up with friend T this morning, then brief trip home and out again. Lunch out with DD and SIL 2 (he invited himself then ended up paying as DD and I had to leave to get to the play )
GS2 was wonderful as a sheep and sang his heart out, they were all so cute
Back to DD's for cuppa and spend a bit of time with GS, then home again.
The drive to DD's was appalling, so much heavy rain, spray and deep and standing water on the dual carriageway. Quite scary, I was glad to get there. The drive home, although in the dark for part of the way, was rain free.

Weather not too bad here, not too much rain. Went to DS’s to deliver his cards and presents, both GSs were there too. Arranged for him to take me to see my sister on Friday. I spoke with her GD who is looking after her and told her I was going. Baby H seemed a lot better today, still has a bit of a cough.

Plant, pleased baby H is on the mend. And glad you will get to see your sister.

Gem, the school play sounds lovely.
Nice for you to have a catch up with T.

Plant - I'm so pleased you are going to see your sister. I hope the weather doesn't get too horrible, but it will be worth it to see her. I hope your DS has had a good birthday.

Gem - that sounds like a very nice day, apart from the rain and driving in the dark - were the roads busy as well? Good for GS2 for being a great member of the flock - he must have been so excited to have both Mummy and Grandma watching.

Lizzie - you're brave going out on your bike when it's this cold - I hope you wrap up warmly and keep out of the wind as much as you can.

Oma - we've not had any proper rain here, but the wind is icy cold. It said 7.5C on my car but it felt more like -7C.

Nanto - we'd love a bigger radiator in our en suite, but it's under the window and there's no room for anything bigger. It's on the north side of the house, on the corner and seems to catch the worst of the weather. Is you OH putting the new rad in himself?

Eva did really well at training today. There were only 4 dogs there though, so it meant they all had longer at doing individual games etc. She got home and flopped straight onto the sofa, not even asking for dinner! I was tired, too - it was quite a busy session.

I think its a couple of degrees warmer this morning.

Daisy, hubby will be doing the radiator himself.
The new one is about 2 ins taller, but its quite a bit longer.
He won't be doing it today though.
We are having new cushion floor in the kitchen today.
So, we will be getting the kitchen prepared.
Its only a matter of moving the table, chairs and rug.
BIL wants the present vinyl for one of his outbuildings. Guess who will get that job.

                      DON'T FORGET THE ADVENT CALENDAR.

                          Good morning everyone.

Handy OH doing the radiator himself Nan2. New kitchen flooring, how nice!
I hope you and Eva have recovered from the tiring session Daisy!

My friend M is coming for coffee this morning. No other commitments today so I hope to put the Christmas tree up. DD's looked so lovely when I was at theirs yesterday, it encouraged me to get it done!

                          Happy Thursday ladies.

Nanto, your OH is always busy, at least this time it is for yourselves.

I haven’t done a thing towards Christmas yet apart from buying the presents on line and I have bought some stamps.

Oma, I hope Mil is in a good mood today.

Good morning ladies. It seems a bit less cold today, and dry (so far). Our internet was down first thing but it seems to be working now.

Nanto - your OH really is a DIY expert. I don't think my OH would want to put a new rad in on his own - he does most things, including some plumbing, but is quite wary of the central heating! Your new one will be much better, I'm sure. How nice to have new flooring for the kitchen. Your BIL is lucky to have such a kind and handy brother!

Plant - don't worry, there's plenty of time to get organised for Christmas - and you've nearly finished your table runner, so that's one item off your list. xx

Oma - I hope your MIL is ok. Don't go mad in Morrisons.

Gem - yes, thank you, Eva is fine this morning. Came bouncing down stairs. If there had been a speech bubble over her head it would have said "What fun and adventures shall we have today, and where's my breakfast, I'm hungry" Enjoy coffee with your friend M. Nice to have a day to do whatever you feel like.

Glamma - it's a sad anniversary day for you today - you're in our thoughts. xxx

I'd better get on - I wasted time this morning trying to get the internet to work. I hope it stays "up" as I need to do my Sainsbury order for tomorrow.

                              Take care ladies.

Good morning, it is cold here and showers forecast, I biked to the market in Delft after my gym, in the dark, the cycle paths through the woods have no lighting, but, they do have " lights" every few meters along the side of the paths, I have seen them but never seen them lit up, they work on solar energy and give really good light. I saw some were not as bright as others and realised it was because they are in the shade of the trees. They drilled holes and then "dropped" these lights in, I saw them doing it one day.

It is a year ago today that my sister died, time soon goes! My BIL isn't well at all, he had to go to the hospital last week and has had a catheter fitted. He is so forgetful, I don't know whether is is because of the medicine he takes or not, it worries me but DIL1 was just on the phone and said I haven't to worry too much as there isn't much I can do from across here. She also told me that it was her idea to split the Christmas meal, I was having them all here on Boxing Day, which would be very busy and break the law as we are only allowed 4 visitors, up to now anyway. Now we are going to DS1 on Christmas Eve, they have the space to do that then DS1 and family are coming here on Boxing Day as planned. She told me she phoned DIL2 as if she had suggested it to me I would have said I could cope!!!! I would as well.

I am going to DS2 tomorrow and will see the great grand children for the first time! Not officially my family but I have always looked on the girls as being family.

Nanto, I hope the fitting of the radiator goes well and the new flooring.
