      Good evening ladies!

We are moored up for the night and fine, after a mishap or two!
I will say more and reply to posts tomorrow 🙂

Hubby's brother and wife have just got a council bungalow in the the next street to us.
About 12ish we went to have a look at it. Didn't get home until 6.
We helped them strip the wallpaper from two rooms, and i cleaned the wet room from top to bottom.
Needless to say,our gardening didn't get done.
        Absolutely shattered now.

Oh, Nanto - you must be exhausted, but I cam imagine how pleased your BIL and his wife were to have all that extra help.
Does this mean they are now living nearer to you and FIL?

WeeGranny - I'm sure it did you good to lose yourself in the performance for a while - you are certainly due for some escapism. It's a blessing that your OH seems to be settling down so well. I know you must miss him being at home, but you had reached the point where he needs more help. Is he eating ok?

It sounds as though the Love Boat was great fun despite the toilet pipes being blocked. I'm sure the young men were as surprised as you were! At first I thought you were brave sunbathing topless at Christmas, then realised the Murray River is in Australia.

Gem - I hope the mishaps were only minor and didn't involve anyone getting very wet! Sleep well - I love the sensation of sleeping on a boat that's rocking gently.

            Good morning ladies.

Yes Daisy, they are nearer to us and nearer to FIL.
Unfortunately this particular sister in law and FIL have never really seen eye to eye.
She knows everything about everything and yet knows nothing.
Once a flood she used to come to see Mam, and tell us what/how we should be doing things.
Although she never did anything for Mam.

Anyway, must crack on and get a few jobs done before we go to help our new neighbours.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

SIL sounds an annoying lady Nan2.
Daisy no one has fallen - yet!
              WG, topless sunbathing at Christmas??!!

Day 2 on the boat. Very cold but we have the engine running now and heating on, so it will be cosy eventually.
I will start a new topic about the trip .

              Happy Monday everyone.

Good Monday morning everyone. The sun's shining here but we're expecting rain later.

Nanto - it sounds as though you need rather a lot of patience with that particular SIL. It's good you're getting to know your new neighbours. Our new neighbours are lovely, and we help each other in all sorts of ways - it makes such a difference.

Gem - I'm sure you will soon warm up. I look forward to hearing all about your trip on your separate thread.

OH has the dentist later this morning. Otherwise no plans for us today, although I've got plenty to do.

Gemini, no topless bathing then Gemini.

Oma, hope you have success with the bed shopping.

My sister used to be a finger wager Oma but only with her children.

Nanto, you are very kind helping your in-laws, hope SIL is gentle with your Fil.

My Dad was a Gentle Gentleman , we talked on our Family group last night ,
Most of my Nieces and Nephews were only small when he died but the ones that were old enough remember him

Well we got a bed and a nice tall headboard in Grey Velvet ,
Went to a small independent place and they had exactly what we were looking for at a very reasonable price plus free delivery , coming next Tuesday .

Strange how a small place can give free delivery and the big places charge £50+

Oma - I' often think bigger places have so many overheads and are trying to compete on headline prices with each other that they make some of their profits by charging a lot for delivery.

I'm glad you found the perfect bed, and even more glad it was a local independent shop.

Sorry, I forgot to post this, yet again. Hallo everyone, a very hectic day for me, so, may miss some posting. I went to the gym, then I have just done coffee for 4 groups, I don't mind though as it keeps me busy all the time I am there. I have just had some lunch then going to Aqua, to top it all DS2 phoned to ask if they could eat here this evening, at first I said I wouldn't manage it, they were going to bring something, then I thought again and phoned to say I will cook! They are going to the Makro so I have asked them to get what I want then I won't have to go.

In-between time I have been to the Lidl for something for the meal.

Oma, lovely thinking of your dad today.

Pleased you got a new bed Oma, yes strange how one can deliver free and the other charges £50.

I have had a call that my new bike will be delivered on Friday, very pleased about that.
