Lizzie, the bathroom looks nice, but not sure if it would be my choice.
We have white now,but before that we had a pink bathroom suite which i loved.

Both of us are booked in now for our booster jabs on Friday afternoon.

The sun is shining,so hopefully we will get the garden done today.

I think it will be difficult to keep clean, but, they are very popular at the moment so they will all have the same problem!

Can you remember in the 80's coloured suites were all the rage , we had a dark blue one , with the splash back shelves around it ,
We thought we were the bees knees

Looking back it was awful , and hard to keep clean
My Neighbour had the same suite in Lemon

Oma - I can't imagine why we chose a dark brown suite for our ensuite all those years ago, but they were fashionable I suppose. I wasn't sorry to leave it when we moved! Some friends in the same type of house chose it for their main bathroom and she regretted that even more! I can't even imagine a glass sink though! Does Storm enjoy having another dog to stay?

Glamma - I hope the invading cat doesn't manage to move the bin! The 'smart' car park sounds a nightmare, and no wonder it makes people park on the street. Let's hope they get it sorted out soon. Di you and your Dd have a nice lunch - and a good chat as well? Your nails sound very pretty - it's lovely to be pampered sometimes.

Lizzie - no wonder you sent all that descaler back! The black bathroom looks amazing, really expensive and chic. I can see why they'd choose it, and I do hope it isn't too much of a problem to keep clean. It's great that you're getting good results from the gym so quickly. It's a big incentive to keep going.

Plant - psoriasis is a funny thing. My OH's sounds quite similar to yours, but isn't itchy. He finds it irritating when it gets to the scabby stage and catches on his clothes. Several people in his family suffer from it, but it all looks very different from each other. How many GGDs did you enjoy playing with today? Hopefully the fuel situation is improving. There were only two or three cars waiting at our local garage this morning, but the friend I go to French with stopped at another garage with no queues at all, but they didn't have diesel so I suggested another one which she was going to try this afternoon.

Nanto - I hope you've enjoyed your 'easy' day today. Are your SIL and BIL decorating right through their new bungalow? Do they have to paint outside as well?

Daisy, GGD’s couldn’t come to my DD’s today as the young girl she works with at the school now has Covid so she is having to isolate and do tests. DD says there are at least 50 pupils off with Covid.

I picked GD1 and Harriet up (GD had to take the day off) and we went to a very large garden centre where they had an Edinburgh Wools outlet but it wasn’t there anymore. Unfortunately we had an accident with our hot coffee. The cafe were refurbishing so I had to carry the coffee a bit of a distance whilst GD sat down with H. An assistant took the tray off me and put the tray down next to GD and I went off to get some napkins. The assistant put the tray down near to H and before GD could move it

H put a finger in a cup of hot coffee and it poured over herself before GD could move it. We whipped her clothes off and a first aider arrived with ice and cold towels. It was so upsetting I think GD was in shock. Fortunately most of it was soaked into her jacket which we removed as fast as we could. GD gave her a bottle, then H put her thumb in and went
              fast asleep.

Oh Plant I bet you all got a terrible fright , Just as well Baby H had a coat on it could have been so much worse ,
I shivered reading it Is she ok now ?

Daisy Storm loves having other dogs staying , DD often takes friends dogs overnight , he is good sharing his beds and toys ,
The cats stay out of the way in her office and use GS's window to come and go jumping onto the conservatory roof

Plant, i hope baby H is ok now.

Daisy, they are decorating all through the bungalow, it does need it.
No painting to be done outside.
Some things need doing badly, but it's a council bungalow and the council don't rush.

After a chilly start to the day,it warmed up when the sun came out.
So,after dinner we decided to do the gardening. Couldn't afford to miss our chance.
Dad called round for ½ an hour and we had a cuppa with him and a chat.
All i wanted to do after the gardening was have a shower, then we went to the bungalow.
I only stayed a short while, left hubby doing something in their kitchen.

In an earlier post i said we were booked in for our booster jabs on friday.
                  I got it wrong,its the following friday,the 15th.

Plant - how frightening for all of you as well as Baby H. She could have been badly scalded, so thank goodness she was wearing a coat. I'm sure GD is still feeling shaky thinking how much worse it could have been. I do hope they are both ok. I hope your DD is ok as well. It's not been a great day for your family, has it. Sending hugs. xx

Oma - Storm is lovely, being so friendly with visiting dogs. Eva and Cooper share their toys quite happily. When we go to DS1's their cat keeps well out of Eva's way. She can get into DS and DIL's bedroom from a single storey roof and they put all her creature comforts there for her and keep the bedroom door closed, because Eva chases her.

Nanto - it sounds like a lot of work, doing the whole bungalow. Well done on getting the gardening done, but you must have been tired with going to the bungalow as well.

                      Good morning ladies.

Plant, poor baby H. Quick thinking and acting from GD and yourself saved the day though .

                      I am aching everywhere today!!
We need to get the boat back by 9, and to have stripped the beds first.
We will just have a cuppa and maybe a piece of fruit or a biscuit as our first stop after loading up the car will be Betty's in Ilkley for breakfast.
I will see if I can get back to sleep for a while.
Talk to you again when I'm back home!

                      Have a good day everyone.

Forecast is for unseasonably warm for a couple of days.

Can't do much in the bungalow till the plastering has been done.
I think hubby is going to help them tidy the garden up.

Gem, have a safe journey home.Enjoy your breakfast on the way home.

I haven’t spoken to GD to see how baby H is, she only had a very tiny patch of red on her hand thanks to the first aider who came very quickly with ice in a tea towel and GD getting her jacket off quickly. I think H hated the ice as well as the scald. It is a week of accidents for us this week, I put something in the microwave which is also an oven a couple of days ago and set it for 20mins on microwave, the place was full of smoke, I have no sense of smell and the fire alarm didn’t go off. I am told my place stinks and my coats that are hanging in the kitchen. Off to get some fabreeze today after swimming, any tips welcome.

Gem, I expect you have been using muscles you don’t usually use, sounds like a good workout. Enjoy your breakfast at Bettys, I expect your bed will feel good tonight.

Oma, I bet Storm will not be able to get in the door quickly enough. How is your Sil’s business going?

I must get ready for Aqua, I will pop back later.

Good morning everyone. We've had rain overnight and it's dull and cloudy but quite mild.

I woke about 6 am and thought I'd have another hour. Next time I looked it was 8.45! Good job we haven't got any plans for this morning!

Plant - thank goodness little H is ok. I'm sure the ice was a shock, but it was needed. I hope GD is feeling better now - she must have been so upset. I wonder why your smoke alarm didn't go off when you hit the wrong button. I'm sure someone will have some suggestions for getting rid of the smell. Can you hang your coats out on the line for a day? That might help. Enjoy your Aqua class - I hope your instructor is there today.

Oma - no wonder Storm love you! Treats at the door Eva says please can she come as well!

Nanto - plastering is a horrible messy process, isn't it! I hope it doesn't take too long. Is the bungalow's garden very overgrown?

Gem - it sounds as though the boating trip has been an interesting experience - I'm sure a long soak in a warm bath will the very welcome when you get home! Safe journey. x

                                Daisy Eva is welcome anytime

Plant its going really well for SIL full books but he was telling us this morning when he dropped Storm off that the price of carpets from the warehouses has gone up 6 times since January ,
Apparently the stuff for the backing that came from Turkey cant be imported so they having to use other sources at higher price .
He didn't raise his prices for the first 3 increases but had no other choice for the rest .

He said people are accepting things are more expensive but some of his stock he said he isn't advertising as they are so expensive its silly money .

Plant for the smell in the kitchen boil Lemons on the cooker or in the microwave and leave a saucer of white vinegar out ,
Your coats Im not sure about , you may have to wash them or have them cleaned .

Baby H wont have liked the cold ice it can be quite painful too but better than the scald blistering,
poor GD I bet she had tears when baby went to bed , it will have been a big shock .
