Clover - we're always delighted to hear from you, but you shouldn't feel guilty for having down days - you've had the most awful time losing your dear G at the height of Covid and not even being able to be with him. I hope the good days are getting more frequent, but grief follows its own path, doesn't it. Sending hugs. xx

I do hope your lovely GD has better luck with Uni this year and things are as close to normal for her as possible. Wishing her every success - and lots of fun which so many youngsters have missed out on. How is your GS - I often think of him. xx

Absolutely you should not be feeling guilty for your down days, Clover xx
Plant I hope they soon get that little boy's infection under control.
We will be thinking of you tomorrow Nan2.

OH is up and feeling much better, thank goodness. She slept most of the morning, and stayed in bed until lunchtime.
DD collected the children around 2, and OH and I had a cuppa and scone and watched Vera.

I've just read through earlier posts and caught up a bit.

WeeGranny - I'm sorry to hear about your OH being back in hospital. I hope they can help with his appetite and get him to eat. It's awful when you don't feel like food though. I know you must be worried, but I hope you can get some rest while he's in hospital, and hopefully more sleep as well. I'm sure you must be worn out. xxx

Plant - poor little lad with the lung infection. There are a lot of Respiratory Syncytial Virus cases at the moment - the great-nephew of a friend ours has recently been in hospital with it - I think he was in for 3 or 4 days - and he's just a couple of months old. It seems symptoms can vary, but he was having some breathing difficulties which made it hard for him to feed. He's ok now, but as you can imagine his mum and dad were very worried. Enjoy your puddy-cat tatt while it lasts.

Oma - thanks for asking. J's eye is fine now. The redness cleared up very quickly and the scratchy feeling at the back of his eye has eased. Just a bit of soreness round the eye socket. We still can't get over how amazing it it that this treatment is available. His vision hasn't suffered and the treatment has reduced the fluid considerably.

I got tons of washing done today, and dried it outside. Unfortunately, lots of ironing waiting to ambush me now though...

It's been a lovely day today, some cloud but lots of warm sunshine. I hope it lasts, but fear it won't.

Good morning, Nanto. The beautiful rose brought a lump to my throat. We'll be thinking of you. xxx

It's dull here, but dry. After yesterday's wash-a-thon I've got loads of ironing to do. I will at least make a start, but too much to do in one go. Patio Man should be here in about half an hour, so I'd better go and get dressed.

                Morning Ladies ,

Nanto all our love is with you and your family on this difficult day xxx

Up very early so everything is done , just finished ironing , although unlike you Daisy I only had 12 items in total

The lady who was supposed to pick garden furniture up yesterday was a no show and even though I text her she dint reply ,
so I offered the next person on the list it and she was over the moon to have it .

All it takes is a text saying you have changed your mind its so rude

B off to his Mams this morning OT is going out to assess her for a few aids , its mainly a tripod foot walking stick she needs as she feels unsteady at the moment .
We have offered to buy her one but no she wants the OT to go in
We not really sure what she is expecting from them to be honest , she still has everything that was put in when FIL was alive , Stair lift etc

May be a waste of OT's time we will see .

Good morning, Nan2, thinking of you all today.xxx

I have cystitis, yet again, I had to get in touch with the urologist so will see what she says.

I called in on DIL yesterday, her knee is still very painful but she was up and about.

It is rude Oma not letting people know you have changed your mind. At least the lady who got them was pleased with them!

I hope all goes well for your MIL, will she use them if she gets them????

                  Comment

Lizzie she is fickle , she will only use it if she thinks she will get attention with it ,
We have bought her one and she will take it out and just carry it so a bit of a waste of time,
She seems to thinks this one will be different , it wont be

I feel for you with Cystitis , I had Thrush for over 10 weeks , gone now thank goodness , I hope you get some relief soon xxx

                      Good morning everyone.

Nan2 what a beautiful rose, and a lovely tribute to your MIL. Thinking of you and OH, FIL and the rest of the family today xx
Fingers crossed patio man arrives Daisy.
Oma, I hate it when people don't show up and ignore your texts. As you say all it needs is a quick text saying Sorry, changed my mind.
Lizzie, I'm so sorry you have cystitis again I know Tizzy was plagued with it regularly.

This afternoon I am going to see my mum. DD3 had hoped to come but work won't allow.
This evening I am eating out with my two ex work friends. Meeting at 6. The quiz begins at 8, so I will have to miss that this week.
OH feeling lot better, but we both still have sore arms! I read that something in the over 65's vaccine (different to the one for under 65's) makes these reactions more likely.

                      Happy Monday ladies

                        Good Moaning Each.

Nanto2 I will be thinking of you today, I hope all goes smoothly.

Just hopping on here briefly as I must carry on with the digging and I’m going out this afternoon. If you’ve ever tried to dig out raspberry canes then you will feel my pain! OH was helping but after he accidentally cut down my apple sapling (which I had grown from seed) yesterday he has decided to leave it to me. He is very enthusiastic when it comes to pruning but he is now banned.
                        Onward and upward.
                        Have a good day ladies.

I don't blame you banning him Grauntie!! Don't overdo it though.

OH is going to golf. It at her club, two miles down the road, so at least she can easily come back if she feels tired.

Gemini, I must have missed the fact that S had a re-action from an injection, hope she is on the mend now. Hope the visit to your mum finds her cheerful.

Daisy, I hope the patio men turn up, how much more is there to do. I hope you don’t have brown stains, feel so sorry for your DS and Dil.

Nanto, lovely rose, lovely name. We shall all be thinking of you and your family, difficult day for you all.

Oma, how rude some people are not showing up to collect the furniture. Hope Mil is happy with what aid the OT can advise.

Lizzie, so sorry to hear you have cystitis again.

I have bowls this afternoon, indoors so the weather can do what it wants. I am planning to clean the bathrooms today.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

                              Good afternoon all.

                              Thinking especially of Nan2.

More rain in the night so no grass cutting again today. I can almost see it growing with this wet weather.

I went out for a walk this morning. I got out of the habit a few weeks ago when I was under the weather and didn’t go out. Got to build up distance again. I’m so lucky I can walk and see the sea within a few minutes.

                              I hope you’re all having a good day x

Clover, it is so easy to get out of the walking habit, I'm sure you will soon build up distance. It must be lovely to have the sea so close.
I hope it stays dry for bowls Plant.
