Hello, everyone, including Nanto's teddies! Nanto - yes, thank you. The party was lovely and best of all the birthday boy was thrilled with the surprise.

It's a bit chilly here but mostly sunny. We had a slow crawl to the hospital this morning, all caused by one very small section of roadworks. We just made it in time for OH's appointment. All went ok and he was out in just over an hour. He's now recuperating and enjoying full nursing services - coffee, teacake, paracetamol, eye gel, soothing of the fevered brow, relaxing music, etc, etc!

I took Eva out very early but I think she's forgotten and wants to go again. She might be lucky later in the afternoon.

Glamm, I know you still don't feel great, but it's slow and steady progress. Hopefully the new course of antibiotics will speed recovery up for you. Take care and get plenty of rest. xx

Gem - if it's a nice day up there, I bet S would rather be out on the golf course than talking about rules of golfing. Still, it has to be done I suppose. Enjoy your day.

Oma - sorry you had a bad night. No matter how careful you are if you stick something to glass it shows when you remove it!

Bowls for me this afternoon, I have managed to rearrange the sheets etc on the bed. As I only sleep on one side I turn the bedding around for another week. Lovely morning so I opened up the windows and gave every a good airing.

Oma, sorry to hear you had a bad night

Glamm, I hope the extra antibiotics do the trick. when does your friend move in.?

Daisy, does your OH get just one day of pampering?

I have done coffee, a neighbour of mine goes as well, her son was arriving from Seattle today, we were sat talking when he walked in, he then hugged her from behind, we were all in tears!!! They haven't seen each other for 4 years.

It was lovely Gem but sad as well, the lady had just told me that her DH is terminal. He has had prostrate cancer for almost 10 years, taken part in trials etc, last week they had a talk with the oncologist and he said there is nothing more they can do for him and that his doctor takes over now, this was on their golden wedding anniversary.

Cold and bright here too Oma. I got a line of washing almost dry out there. I also tidied out the big toy box in the conservatory and have now got a large cardboard box of toddler toys to go in the loft.

Daisy OH was on the golf course n
on Saturday and will be tomorrow. I'm sure she will manage today 😊
There will be carrot cake and scones at the talk so I think that will be some compensation.

A bright and breezy day here, not that I saw much of it as OH had a hospital appointment! Home had arranged transport which was fine, but we had a long wait for it to take us back to home. We were in an area of the hospital we hadn't been in before and it was quite pleasant. Light and airy and no crowds of people. Discovered we've got another appointment on Friday and another one next Monday, so I can rule out any plans for those days.

Discovered someone has been dumping rubbish on the other side of our fence, door, bamboo fencing, mat, cushion, metal rods and boards. They've also cut steps on one side of the ditch so they could get to the land on our side! To say I'm annoyed is an under statement! I shall be contacting the Council and the owners of the land tomorrow with photographic evidence. And the top level of cement bags which are round the outlet pipe from the ditch in our garden, has been knocked off and just left lying there. Some people must spend more time looking for places to dump rubbish rather than just booking a time to take it to the tip.

Hope you're feeling better Glamm! You must have amore understanding doctor than us....it's like trying to get blood out of a stone when you ask for anti-biotics!

Lovely surprise for your friend Lizzie, but sad about her OH.

Hope Mr Daisy has no after effects from his treatment this morning.

Have a good evening everyone xx

WG,some don't care where they dump rubbish.Hoping someone else will deal with it.

Gem - well done, Quiz of the Week Star. Glad to hear S isn't being deprived of a round of golf for that meeting.

Lizzie - your neighbour must be feeling quite emotional with so much going on.

WeeGranny - it is tiring having so many hospital appointments. I don't know whether it's the transport/parking, the waiting or just plain anxiety, but there's no denying it's exhausting.

I really think the anti-litter and fly tipping laws need better enforcement. Why should you or anyone else have to deal with that rubbish. Although I don't think it's helped by some Councils who are still sticking to counter-productive Covid rules. It encourages people to dump their rubbish anywhere.

OH seems to have got off lightly at the hospital today. The socket of his eye feels less bruised and he's not sure if it's a new treatment couch or a slightly different technique they've used, but it's less painful than usual.

Oma - OH says thank you for the hug. xx

Plant - how did the bowls go? It's a good idea to turn the sheets round if you can and it saves doing a full change over, to say nothing of cutting down on the washing.

I'm off for an early night - hospital trips are tiring, even if you're only the chauffeur! Plus yesterday was quite busy. Night, night, everyone. x
