Hello everyone. I'm sorry I haven't been around much for the last few day - about a week, in fact - but it has been rather busy.

I've read back over the last few days, but it's too much for individual comments as I have only a short time to myself and the internet is as slow as it can be!

We enjoyed the New Forest Show on Wednesday, but felt a bit sad that it was smaller and quieter than pre-pandemic and not so well-organised as usual. Still I'm sure it will get better for next year.

On Friday, another Sister-in-law and her adult DD arrived from North Wales/Chester. It was great to see them. We worked out we hadn't seen the daughter since her parents' 70th birthdays, 12 years ago! They went back home this morning. The SIL's husband (my OH's eldest brother) is very unwell and this was the first time SIL has been away without him, so it was quite emotional for her. OH's sister and BIL's 60 anniversary lunch was yesterday - lovely to see about 20 members of the family and a couple of old friends. Some of them came back to ours for a cup of tea afterwards, so the party carried on. We were all shattered by the end of the day, and nobody got up early this morning.

I've sneaked away for a while - everyone else is watching tv and planning to watch the football later. I have to confess total boredom with the whole thing!

I've surprised myself this week by producing a decent meal each evening and it's been so hot and dry that we've eaten outside a lot.

The downside to the glorious weather is - we start a hosepipe ban from 5th August! Grauntie - I hope you don't suffer the same fate. I don't know how I'm going to stop all the new plants keeling over if I can only use a watering can!

I hope everyone is ok - sending hugs. I'll be back properly in a couple of days. xx

Good morning, Daisy, you have done very well coping with visitors for a week! You will all have enjoyed yourselves, I know I did when I stayed with my DB2!!

We haven't had the rain, the parks really need some rain, we have many plants in the parks down from us and they are looking really limp at the moment, the young trees are as well.

I have a busy day today, gym then a circuit to follow, if all goes as planned we will get the cable up here today, it is all down to the people that rent the garages under us.

I got some alterations done yesterday , then I had a walk to the village, it was very warm and muggy though.

Sun is shining.Hopefully we will get the gardening done today.
No other set plans as yet.

Oma, i wasn't ignoring you yesterday when you asked about the baby.
          He's doing well, thank you.
They are still waiting for a letter from the hospital about his kidneys.

            Good morning ladies.

Daisy, it sounds as though you are the perfect host I hope you're not tiring yourself out though!

Good to hear the baby is doing well Nan2.

Lizzie I hope you get some rain soon. Our plants were like that before the recent rain.

Oma, your GD sounds like mine with the bendy gymnastics!

Great result on the women's final last night!! Did you enjoy it Plant?

It's a sunny morning and no rain forecast.
I am meeting my friend M for lunch. Cancelled two weeks ago due to to the heatwave, and last week as I didn't feel too well that morning.
            Third time lucky!
No other plans unless DD3 needs me to go over.

            Have a good day everyone.

              Morning ladies .
              Its a nice morning ,
We have GS1 AGAIN today he s coming for lunch before he starts work at 2 .
He asked for shredded duck so we have just been to Farm foods as they sell half shredded duck with Pancakes , we bought ourselves some too
That boy lives like a prince

              Gem
Enjoy your morning we must arrange lunch also xx

              Lizzie
a busy day for you , hope they get the cable sorted ,x

              Nanto
Fingers crossed baby's Kidneys are ok and they can get on and enjoy that beautiful little boy

              Daisy
You must be shattered , you will need a few days away in the caravan after all your visitors ,
What has Eva made of it all ?

              Plant
Did GD buy anything at the car boot or did she just sell and not look around ,
Its tempting to look at other stalls and end up bringing stuff home

Yesterday we went to our local garden centre for brunch with our friends and DD etc as i said but I forgot to tell you all
we always sit at tables sort of tucked away around a corner , to order food etc you have to go to the till and cant be seen by the table ,

Every time any of us went around the corner Storm howled like a wolf ,
James and David our SIL went to order the food and he howled till DD stood up and took him to see they were still there
Then I went to get some Scones for D&J to take home and he did the same thing .

He thinks he is the Pack leader and does not settle till we are all together
DD had to actually bring him round to stand beside me to make him stop howling ,
he would not move till I did and stuck by my side looking up at me all the time .

              So sweet protecting his pack

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, Storm is so attached to you I think, he didn’t want you out of sight. He thinks he is pack leader certainly. GD and her OH went to the car boot to sell some of the baby equipment and a small table.

I did watch the football Gemini and what a more entertaining match than any mens game I have happened on recently. the men fall over at the slightest opportunity and they pass the ball from me to you and back to me. Have a nice lunch with your friend. I looked up some local private dermatologists and they charge £300 for a consultation and 200 per treatment, I will discuss it with my DD and I think she will say go ahead. What has decided me is that I now have some psoriasis under my chin. I don’t have a Dr’s appt until Sept and then will have to wait a time to see a specialist. Whether they can do anything is another matter.

Nanto, pleased to hear the baby is doing well.

Daisy, you will meet yourself coming back soon with all the entertaining you are doing.

I am going to sit at my sewing machine and finish off a piece of bedding for a dolls cradle the GGD’s have been given. I have made the mattress, just the cover to do, it is almost finished. DD, Sil, GD2 and her partner are back today but not until very late so I will not see them until tomorrow.

Good morning (although it won't technically be morning by the time I post!). It's another warm sunny day here - I'm really dreading the hose pipe ban later in the week!

July always seems to be a busy month for us, and this year it feels as though things are 'business as usual'. No cooking tonight as our guests are treating us to a meal out. They leave tomorrow, and the house will seem very quiet.

Eva seems to love having guests and gets lots of attention. I'll post in Eva's thread about Saturday.

Daisy, you've certainly had a busy week of it.

We got the gardening done this morning.

Storm is keeping his pack in sight Oma!!

Good weather for gardening Nan2. OH had done a lot whilst I was out lunching!

How lovely to have a meal out Daisy.

Plant, the psoriasis is spoiling your life, so I would agree with your DD is she advises you go private.

Our friend H turned up this morning with some money she owed OH for a joint birthday gift. She didn't come in as she had her partner's dog Lottie in the car. I went out to meet Lottie, but of course we don't have any dogs in the house ever, being a cat household. She was cute but noisy

I had a very nice lunch with my friend M. She is such a nice person. We met at toddler group when our second children were small, now in their mid 40's!

A lady came across during the time we were there, saying my name. I had no idea who she was, but we were friends at grammar school. We haven't seen each other for 50 years!
We became FB friends a few years ago, as it turns out that she is a friend of DD2's MIL, and recognised my photo on family groups!
We have said several times that we must meet up, along with my friend C. We all started that school together and they were my best friends in my first year. Now we have met up, I will get it sorted.

A few spots of rain this morning. Glad we got the gardening done yesterday.

Gem, how nice to see an old school friend after all those years.

No plans apart from housework and a pile of ironing.

                          I will pop back later.

B putting last coat of oil on main worktops today then he will give Breakfast bar a light sand and oil ,
That one was done a couple month ago so only needs slight attention .

I love them when they are done but I hate the sanding and dust and the smell of the oil

We have loads of stuff in freezer but no prep space at the moment
Kettle and stuff on a tray in the living room only place for it

Have a good day ladies i will pop back later xxx

A dull morning where I am, a better forecast for this afternoon.

I hope you enjoy the coffee morning Plant.

Less distance to walk to make a cuppa Oma

No plans today. OH is helping out at the golf club for a couple of hours. I may go shoe shopping.

Good Morning ladies I am feeling so much better this week my friend from Liverpool came to stay for 3 days and we where picked up and taken to DDs & her partners house for a house party to celebrate his mums b'day and my youngest DGS's 19th b'day DD did a lovely buffet and I made a couple of plates of Spanish tapa's which went down well with everyone.

Gems its lovely to see the pic's of new baby what a delight he is x I did say I was jealous of the new babies didn't I ? well I got a lovely surprise at the party two of my DGS's partners are both expecting new babies and they are 10 days apart with the expected dates both are due end of Feb beginning of March so all the conversation was about babies of course, its a good excuse to go buying in JL baby section next time I go to L'pool. So 2 x new Great Grandchildren one after the other which will be lovely.

I have decided to tackle the back garden before the winter starts and have the shed taken down its hardly used now and I have a smaller hard plastic storage type box which leans against the garden wall at the back so plenty of room for lawn mower and paint tins etc,I shall use the area as a patio space for garden table & chairs I have those plastic covers for them during the winter,a man I know wants the shed for his chickens on his little small holding and he will dismantle it and take it away which saves me the bother of organising someone to do the job,the garden will look so much bigger once its gone.

Even though I feel so much better this week I have tried many times to get through to my Drs to speak to him about the sciatica problem but just no chance of an appointment I have been on redial the whole time I have been doing this posting and it is constantly engaged I may just drive up to the surgery and see if I can get an appointment face to face.

Take care everyone will be back soon xx
