Nanto, how worrying for you, I hope your Mil is comfortable and not giving cause for concern.

Oma I have just bought two new pillows, they are all Goose Down, no feather. An eye watering price.

Good morning, yes Daisy, the middle motor is more recent, more expensive as well of course, when I went to the factory just before lock down last year they were saying they worked with other motors but were going over to Bosch and Shimano, they have developed so much in the 10 years they have been producing.

I have to pay what extra as the price I received was for a front wheel motor, which is understandable. I had DS2 on the phone, he works with cycles and he said to go for the one with the lower instep as I am getting older, I am going again this morning and I want to try the Shimano again, with my cycling a lot I use my own power and I found the Shimano better for this, the man said that when he explained it all. I think it will be the Frost blue one, I was awake during the night making the decisions. If I choose the Shimano one it will be delivered quickly, it has an extra strong battery, then I can 234 kms out of it, so he said. I certainly won't ride that empty in one day.

          Good morning all.
Nan2 I hope your MIL had a comfortable night.

GS1 and I are going into town today. We will probably go by bus, then my pass will get it's second outing! We plan to follow the Cat Trail around the city centre.
Yet more golf for OH! The usual Tuesday competition.

          Have a good day everyone.

Gemini, have a lovely trip to town with GS1. I wish our local town was as lovely as yours.

            Lizzie, big decisions for you.

Nanto, I hope your Mil is feeling stronger today.

No theatre visit yesterday for DD and I, Sil said the local figures were rising and was not happy for us to go. So DD and I made the decision not to go and risk getting the virus. We were very disappointed. Shopping for food today, I have run my fridge right down.

              Morning ladies
Nanto so sorry to read your MIL was taken into Hospital , I do hope she rallies around , sending hugs and I will be sending positive vibes ,
Its so worrying when they are elderly isn't it xxx

Lizzie hope you get settled with your bike today , you must feel lost without one , if you had known you could have hung onto GD's old bike for a week or two

Gem enjoy the trail it will pass a few good hours

Up early and got my ironing done then got dressed dusted the upstairs and then sprayed the weeds popping their heads through the block paving on the drive ,
I try to keep a eye on them and as soon as the leaves are big enough to spray then its good night Vienna to them

Shame some of the neighbours don't a couple of drives are shocking full of weeds .

The sun is out and its quite warm looks like a lovely day ahead xx

Plant its not worth taking the risk , they have said we may be heading for a 4th wave xx

That would be disappointing for you Plant but I think you and GD made the right decision.

We could do with you here to keep our weeds under control Oma!

Good morning everyone. It's a lovely sunny day here, and both GDs have enjoyed breakfast of waffles, ice cream, strawberries and honey!

Nanto - I do hope it's good news when you hear from the hospital. How is FIL coping on his own overnight? I hope he's managed to sleep ok.

Plant - how disappointing to miss the King and I, but much better safe than sorry. I hate it when the fridge is looking empty, even though we've got well-stocked cupboards and food in the freezer.

Gem - have a lovely time on the Cat Trail - I look forward to hearing all about it.I should think S will be tired after her third consecutive day our on the fairways. Who's turn is it to cook dinner tonight?

Oma - block paving seems to encourage the weeds, doesn't it. We zap 'big' weeds like dandelion or docks with a burner thingy, but I try and pull out smaller ones either by hand or with a little gadget that looks like a bent knife. It's just out front drive so not very big and the cars and caravan cover most of it. We're having slabs of various sizes for the patio which will be cemented/concreted in, so hopefully weeds won't be a problem.

Lizzie - it sounds as though you've decided on your new bike, and it seems perfect. It's a big decision when you use a bike as much as you do. It must seem strange without it.

This has just taken me about 10 minutes to type. Cooper came and asked for a cuddle - he's hard to refuse because he's so sweet when he's all soppy and gentle. Then of course it was Eva's turn. I'll post this quickly before either of the girls want anything.

                    Gem, enjoy the Cat Trail.

Mam didn't have a good night. She was put in a ward at 3.30 this morning.
9½ hours she was in A&E. I know there were other patients, but i thought that was a bit much for a woman of 96.
                    Earlier this morning,they said she'd had a drink,but was a bit confused.
No visiting allowed on the ward she is in.

Nanto - your poor mam. She must have been so confused. That's a long time in A&E, but hopefully it was because they were checking everything and treating her, not because there wasn't a bed. Will you or OH be able to speak to a doctor and get some more information? I'm sure they will be doing things like keeping her fluids up but it would ease your minds a bit to have someone tell you what treatment they're giving her. Sending hugs.

hallo, nan, how awful for your MIL to have to wait all that time.

Daisy, a slight change of plan with the bike, now going for the silver one with a Bosch motor. I am going for a long ride in the morning to make my mind up, I was talking to the mechanic and asked what he thought, he said the Bosch, DS2 said that as well. This salesman was so much better than the one yesterday, in fact he was rude and I almost walked out! I told this man about him and he said he does have problems. This one is letting me have the stronger battery for the same price. I did have a ride on one with the battery in the frame but it wasn't what I have my eye on.

The mechanic said to go for a longer ride before making my mind up, while I was there I got a call saying my replacement bike will be delivered on Thursday morning, I am pleased about that.

Oma, I do have a shopping bike for in the village, I had to laugh at the thought of me on a little girls bike! The replacement will be here on Thursday until I get the new one.

Gem, enjoy the cat trail, is that similar to the fish trail in Hull??

Plant, a shame about the theatre. Not worth the risk though.

This is the bike with the battery in the frame.

Daisy, they taking mam down for an ultrasound scan and xray.
But, they couldn't say what they are scanning or xraying.
Personally, i think the ultrasound scan will be a full body scan.
If we ring dad often during the day,he manages ok.
I could be far off the mark, but i have my suspicions about what they might find with the scans/xrays.
Not said anything about this to family, not even to my husband.
But,i had to tell someone,so i rang my sister in law in Wigan. I know it won't go any further.
