Oma, I am still waiting for the bike, I wonder if they have delivered it to the showroom, I will phone if they aren't here soon. I did get a message from the people at the B&B and my old one was picked up there, nice and early. I have been sorting some more things out in the garage. Find things I didn't know I had.

It's amazing what you find when you start sorting out Lizzie!
Oma, it's dull and cool here today. We were so lucky yesterday!

So far we have constructed a big train track ( not one of my skills so it takes ages!) and done some rock painting. More art this afternoon maybe. GS has Cbeebies at the moment and GD is on my laptop.

I had to phone about the bike, and, I misunderstood the message!!!! How can I misunderstand a time and a place etc etc, so, it doesn't happen very often but I was very annoyed. At least my car is clean and the garage is tidy. Now it will be next week.
On the bright side the order for the new one has been accepted.

Gem it is much cooler here today, dull and windy with it.

Lizzie, nothing like having a clean car and tidy garage.
It's good your order for the new bike has been accepted.

Visit from relatives went ok. They only stayed for 2 hours.
I went through every book at dads, looking for one of the phone numbers i needed.
Dad said he cant ever remember having it. So, this afternoon i wrote him a letter, and got into the post,so he will get it tomorrow.
            Funeral is 13th September.

Woke up this morning full of aches and pains so i took a couple of painkillers and went back to bed, where I slept most of the day. Got up a couple of times to check on OH and make him a drink etc. Made him an omelette for tea and he's hardly eaten any of it. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day all round.

Thinking of Nanto and her family today. Sad times.

Another grey, dreich day here. I do hope Summer hasn't gone. Need a few more sunny days.

              Take care everyone xx

Nanto its times like this when you need something and no matter how hard you look you cant find it ,
Just as well you had the address ,
Its been cold here but although we had a few spots of rain it didn't actually rain just the threat of it '

Lizzie its easy to miss hear a message , always a silver lining at least you got the car washed and now have a tidy Garage

Phoned Specsavers today , B's remote for his hearing aids was not working so they sent it away to be repaired 4 weeks ago ,
He rang last week and they said it would be at the shop this week , rang today its been lost so they sending a new one in the next few days
What is happening to things and people these days

Spoke to one of my Neighbours today first time in over a year , B was taking GS1 to work and I was waving them off when she was coming up the street ,
She hasn't been going out at all and this was her first time out since lockdown , her DS lives with her and he has been doing the shopping etc but he said it was time she got out and about so she started today and she said although she was anxious she had enjoyed her little jaunt

Made me wonder how many people are still staying in , my sister is one of them .

Good morning, Oma I didn't misunderstand the message, that is what they made of it. I was phoned later on, by 2 different young ladies to say the bike will be delivered on Monday morning, early. Your neighbour would enjoy going out after all that time, it is a shame people don't get out. In fact my BIL is the same, he worries me, he did seem to be improving then his best friend had that accident and died and it has hit him hard, in fact when I phone I hardly recognise him at all, he used to go bird watching to Bempton cliffs with a group of men, I asked him if he still goes, no, hasn't bothered he said. The same with all the sports he was interested in, he does go to Rugby once a week with his DS2 so that is a start.

I hope the hearing aid soon arrives for B Oma.

WeeGranny, I hope you are feeling better today. Like you I hope the summer hasn't gone, we could have a good few weeks yet, we hope to anyway, it is warm here and we do have the sun but yesterday we had a few showers.

Lizzie, you must be so worried about BIL.

                      Good morning everyone.

I'm sorry I haven't read all your posts, but I'm hoping for a few quiet minutes later.

We went to friends for dinner last night, which was lovely, but this morning my back is agony. It was the same last time we went, and I think it's their dining room chairs. But no time to take it slowly this morning. Garden people just arriving, various materials due to be delivered this morning, bins day, and Sainsbury's delivery 8.30-9.30. I'm going to crawl into the shower and hope that helps!

                      Love to all. xx

Daisy I sympathise about the bad back I had to get up during the night to take more pain killers as I was in agony I do wish the appointment for the MRI scan comes through soon I have messaged the surgery again today to see if this has been arranged but receptionist can not find my original request from the Dr. for my scan she is contacting the Dr. again today so I will have to continue waiting the pain is awful today I am using those heat pads again to get some relief.

Oma that dog is so spoilt I thought I spoilt my Oliver as I give him a choice of 3 types of cat food as he is so fussy but you are a definite softy surrogate mummy to him I bet he is a smasher and loves coming to you to be spoilt.

Weegranny I hope today finds you better xx sending warm hugs to you

My friend will not be coming to stay this week-end after all she forgot she had been invited to a neighbours birthday party on Saturday also it must be fabulous to have a busy social calendar but never mind we will catch up at a later date

I am also going to wash and clean out my car today it must be the time of year for it,where the parking space is outside my bungalow is a large oak tree and the birds nest in it so my little car is in the firing line when they go to the toilet I don't have a front garden hose connection so have to use a bucket for the washing and rinsing off sometimes I take it to the garage when I get petrol and use their jet spray.

My DD & her partner are off to Scotland today they are going to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival it should be a good week-end for them she has never been to Scotland before I am green with envy I hope they have a good time they are staying in a Hotel for 3 nights she deserves a break away as she works hard all week & helps me such a lot.

Bye for now will catch up later or tomorrow
                        Take care everyone glamma xx

Daisy, sorry to hear about your back, perhaps ask for a cushion next time. Pleased to hear the garden is progressing, how long will it take?

Oma, I wonder where B’s hearing aid remote for his aids will turn up.

Lizzie, very exciting for you getting your new bike on Monday. I love a tidy garage, mine needs a sweep out.

WG, I hope you are feeling better now, you must be feeling worn out physically and mentally

Very sad funeral yesterday, the widow was in bits but surrounded by her large family. I have a warfarin appt. this morning and this afternoon is the first meeting for the National Trust group since lockdown. Before that I must load the car with stuff for the tip which is in the same direction as the hospital. We have sunshine again, it is forecast for the weekend. Haven’t seen any GGC all week, missing them although I did have a FaceTime with GD1 and saw H smiling as usual.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

                            Good morning ladies.

Oma, it's amazing that there are still people not going out at all.
Daisy, I hope your back eases today. Take care and rest it as much as you can.
It does feel cool this morning Nan2, come back summer!
Poor BIL, Lizzie. At least he has family, it would be even worse if he didn't.
Glamma, I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. I really need to wash my car!
I hope today is a better one WG xx
Good to get back to meetings Plant.

I had a good day yesterday with GD and GS2, and OH came back with an orchid for her team winning, so a good day for all!
This afternoon we are going to take my auntie to a farm shop cafe. It's a few weeks since we saw her, so we are all looking forward to it.

Have a nice Friday whatever you are doing.

Plant, my new bike won't be here for a few weeks,, the one on Monday is a replacement until it arrives, I don't mind, as long as I have one I will be fine.

Daisy, poor you, I hope you soon feel better and Glamm, I hope you get the scan planned soon so they can find out what is causing the pain. I am lucky with my car, I have the garage, a neighbour was saying this morning how it shines, I told him I only cleaned it yesterday. It doesn't get dirty now really, when I used to pick the GD's up from school twice a week, drove through building sites etc, then it got really dirty and always dusty.

Gem, enjoy the outing with your auntie.

Nanto, I do worry about my BIL, I think he is on too many tablets to be honest, he is on them for depression, dizziness etc. His voice had no tone, just flat, he was always so full of life as well. It would have been their golden wedding anniversary tomorrow so that won't help.

I have been to the garden centre, I had a gift voucher given from the friends that are away in Limburg a lot, to thank me for doing the post etc so I have been and got some plants to replace some that are not looking very cheery!

Good morning, lovely day here, very sunny but I haven’t been outside so don’t know how warm it is. Haven’t had chance to read through all the posts so hope everyone is well. Another milestone for me yesterday, 12 months since P’s funeral. Spent the morning with DD Which was nice.

Today I’m off to a new social group that has just started up here. My friend saw a flyer in the post office saw we thought we’d give it a try. She can’t make it today so I’m going on my own. Spoke to the lady who runs it, it’s for over 6o’s, they have entertainment, Talks, refreshments and a raffle and just generally get together for chat etc. So I’ll give it a go and see if it’s something we’d like. They’ve only been going for 3 weeks and there are already 45 people on the list. They room they use at the community centre can only take 60 so they’re getting near the limit.

I love this time of year, the gardens looking good and the temperature suits me. As long as it doesn’t rain too much. It’s a real pleasure to get out into the garden, especially after my lovely lady has just been and it’s all looking neat and tidy.

Hope you all have a good day. 🌞
