Oma, mam says she didn't pass out. I must admit dad does exaggerate sometimes.
She is very frail,no flesh on her at all.
She had got up to go to the bathroom, but didn't have the strength to make it back to the bedroom.
Checked about ½ hour ago,she had eaten ans all was well with both of them.
We will check up on them again about 6ish.

Good morning, your neighbour is going through it Oma, sorry this was delayed, the enter key on the keyboard isn't working,
not very handy, I have been to my Apple man but he can't repair it, so I will need a new one, I am now using the small bluetooth one from the iPad!
Oma, I see you are going through it as well, what a carry on with the medicines. I hope they are settled now.

Nan, I hope your MIL is ok, they are lucky to have you close by. I love the cushions by the way.

WeeGranny, you will enjoy getting new curtains etc for the house.

Plant, you will enjoy the theatre.

I may have missed a few posts, sorry, Daisy, enjoy the fish, I have mackerel this evening, I haven't had time to get to the shops, very unusual for me, I spent the morning in the cycle shop and going on test runs! The choice is a middle motor, I will have to pay something extra but that was expected, now I am deciding on the motor then I will go in the morning and get it settled.

DS1 and GD2 have just called in, out on their bikes looking for flowers to dry. DS1 was very impressed with the decorating I have done. Photo's of the bikes. I like the red one but the other are lower frame to get on and off. Safer!

Lizzie, decisions decisions. I like the red bike, but as you say the others would be easier for getting on and off.

Nan, I like the red one, but if I chose that model it would be another colour as this is last years or something It will be silver or ice blue.

            Comment

Lizzie both silver and ice blue sound nice for your new bike. Will you have to wait for it to be delivered or are they in stock? The fishman delivers frozen fish, but it's really good quality and I've never been disappointed. We used to have a great fishmonger in the village but not now, and another one in a nearby village has also closed.

Nanto - glad your MIL didn't actually pass out, but I can understand FIL having a bit of a panic seeing her lying on the floor.

WeeGranny - there's nothing like a few new bits and pieces for the house to perk you up a bit. I find something new makes me actually think about cleaning (although that doesn't necessarily mean doing the cleaning!) I hope all goes well for OH's hospital appointment on Wednesday.

Oma - it's hard to choose pillows. You can't exactly try them out for a night, can you. I like a feather pillow - a soft thin one - and also have a well-stuffed hollowfibre one on top for reading in bed then I dump that on the floor when I've finished reading. One of the things I like about Premier Inns is the choice of pillows - not many hotels seem to do that.

Daisy, one would be a week or 2, the other longer, but then I hope to get a bike to tide me over. What a good idea with the frozen fish, we have fresh fish here on the market on a Wednesday and a very good one on the market in Delft on a Thursday, oh, not forgetting the one on the corner of our road on a Thursday afternoon, straight from Scheveningen and very good, fresh fish.

As you say Nan2, your MIL probably didn't pass out. Thank goodness she didn't break anything though. My mum just fell onto carpet and broke her hip.
Good idea to treat yourselves to something new for the house WG as you won't be moving just yet.
                  Get the safest bike Lizzie!

Quite a nice visit for DD3 and I to mum, but she was very tired so we didn't stay quite as long as we usually do. You could tell she was torn between wanting us to stay but wanting to not chat and to have a nap! We went for a cup of tea outside the cafe down the road afterwards and had a good chat.

Gem, your mum will get tired, at least you had the chance of the chat with DD3, yes, I will go for the safe bike, it is the same model as I was on Friday when I went with GD1 and it was easy to get on and off. Now the decision of the motor!

Daisy I bought Premier inn firm pillows about 6 month ago , they are rubbish .
I bought them directly from Premier inn but they are certainly not the same quality as the Hotels ,
They flattened very quickly , supposed to fluff them up and they go back in shape well they don't ,

The mattress on the other hand is lovely .

Lizzie either colour would be nice are they much more expensive or reasonable priced ?

Nanto sounds like your FIL got a fright , as long as she is eating and drinking she sounds fine x

Gem your poor Mum I can imagine she wanted to chat but tiredness takes over doesn't it ,
At least you got to have coffee with your DD What time is S home ? .

Oma, more expensive than what I had as the motor is in the middle, I have my heart set on it so will have to pay the extra. Then it depends on the strength of the battery. All complicated! I will go and get it all settled tomorrow morning.

I have ordered a new mattress, I realised how bad mine was when I slept on the bed in the B&B. DS1 came today and carried the old one into the shed, I have one on mine now from one of the spare beds.

Lizzie,i always think a new mattress feels lovely and snuggly.

Mam was taken into hospital at 6' 0 clock tonight.
All the family were there this afternoon.
I honestly thought she was dying.
Never seen her as bad as she was when they put her in the ambulance.

Nanto - I'm so sorry to hear Mam was taken into hospital after all. Hopefully they can stabilise her and it's nothing serious, although I can understand you must be very worried. Sending hugs.

Lizzie - are ebikes with the motor in the middle a more recent development? I can imagine that the balance is better.

Oma - how disappointing that the Premier Inn pillows weren't as good as the hotel ones.

Gem - what a pity your mum was feeling tired. I'm sure she looks forward to your visits and her GDs' so she must have been torn between chatting and having a nap.
