You would enjoy that Oma, I quite like vegan food.

I just phoned my BIL, he is coping, he said they worked together for 45 years. The friends son was there when he fell from the ladder, he is a decorator as well.

Lizzie, yes it is about house boats.

Gem, you must be disappointed about GD not coming, but sometimes friends take priority.

I'm glad you enjoyed your tea out Oma.
Your GD's theatre course sounds lovely Daisy. My DD3 loved theatre courses and I signed her up for them most school holidays!

I didn't mind GD not coming today, she had two days at her new school last week then a few days away, and they are on holiday next week. She won't be going to her new school with any of her school friends so its nice for her to be able to catch up with them when she can. Today was an extra day anyway, they will both be here on Friday. The boys did their own thing this morning, GS1 with his screens, GS2 doing things with me. They played well together all afternoon and worked together well to read and solve the clues in my treasure hunt.

              Good morning ladies, me again!

This morning I am going to have blood taken, as part of my review. The place in Asda closed due to the pandemic, and now there is an NHS blood taking place in the new sports stadium and cinema complex. OH had hers done here last time. Far better than going to the hospital for it.
              Library this afternoon.

              Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning one and all. It's dull and cloudy here - I hope it doesn't rain. I didn't get the lawn done yesterday, and rain's forecast for tomorrow.

Gem and Nanto - I love your co-ordinating graphics this morning.

Nanto - can I send my towels over to you - mine won't dry with the weather as it is now. Glad your in laws are ok. The programme on All4 sounds interesting. I'm always amazed by people who live in motorhomes, barges, house boats etc.

Lizzie - I meant to say yesterday, condolences to your BIL and his friend's family. What a dreadful thing to happen.

Oma - I like Vegan food, and it's often tastier than ordinary equivalents. Glad you enjoyed your burger. Enjoy your quiet morning. Is MIL ok?

Gem - that sounds a good blood testing replacement for the Asda service. We have to go to our local hospital - I've got an appointment for next Monday morning for my MOT. I hope you have a good afternoon at the Library - you could probably do with an easy day after having the boys yesterday.

Plant - did you go out with GD1 yesterday?

Glamm - I'm still catching up with everyone! I'm so delighted to hear your eyes are good. Life must suddenly seem a whole lot easier and brighter - ignore the dust. How lovely to spend time with your friend - I bet you never stopped talking.

Had a lovely day with GD2 yesterday. She loves cooking and especially baking, so she made lunch -trout for me and OH and fish fingers for her with chips and beans. I only helped her with getting hot things out of the oven. Our oven door drops down but isn't a clever modern one that then slides under the oven, and it's not at floor level so too far for her to reach. Then after lunch we pottered around for a while and then made biscuits. I had to find a recipe that used SR flour, because I didn't have any plain gluten-free flour. The recipe I found used margarine and lard. She'd never seen lard before and was very skeptical about it. I was amazed at how good she was at rubbing the fats into the flour and then forming the dough into biscuits. They were similar to shortbread, and very nice!

By the time I'd taken GD and Cooper home and got some tea for us I was shattered. The last week or so caught up with me, so the lawn didn't get done, I've just done the washing up from the baking session, and there's piles of washing and ironing lined up for me. But the weeds have priority today, then the lawn when the dew's dried off. OH has promised to give me a hand, which makes a big difference.

I hope everyone has a good day. xx

Morning all, I am going to fetch GD and baby H, not sure what we will do, difficult with a 7 month old baby who needs sleeps and still has a bottle.

Gemini, perhaps your GD would like a day with you on her own. I am sure the boys enjoyed their treasure hunt.

                      I Weill pop back later.

Daisy MIL is good thanks for asking , goes in to have stents put in on the 11th , more a precaution as there is a slight narrowing of her arteries ,

Sounds like a Baker in the making with GD we baked a lot with GS2 especially now its his favourite subject at school ,
We have a slide and hide door to our oven its so much easier getting stuff out and as our kitchen is small no chance of banging into a open oven door that i have done several times with our other oven ,

Plant have a lovely day with GD is she crawling yet ? or just shuffling

We get all our Bloods done at the Dr's but you have to make appointments you cant just pop in .

Just made the dog , Chicken and rice with a spoon full of Duck fat mixed in for lunch he will love it ,

I think you have to be nearly dead to get through the doors at our surgery Oma No blood taking there now.
What a lovely day with your GD Daisy
I'll hope you have a good time with GD and baby Plant.
I had a couple of days just with GD last summer. If we can't fit anything in this summer I may be able to take her somewhere after school as her new school finishes at 2.20.

OH gone weeding to the elderly couple she works for sometimes. I'm going for blood taking and will pop into Sainsbury's as I pass it .
Sunny here, towels in the wash.

                            Good Morning ladies,
A nice bright day here to-day lovely drying weather the line is full this morning I have washed all the cushion covers and throws that I use on the sofa's all blowing gently in the breeze.

Oliver has been out all night again he just will not stay in with the mild weather he has been sleeping on the garden shed roof the last couple of nights and he has such a nice comfy bed in the kitchen.

To-day is my youngest DGS's 18th birthday and we are off for a family meal at his favourite restaurant here in New Brighton there are just 7 of us going as he hate's any fuss we are booked in for the early evening menu which start's at 4pm he has agreed to having a special cake and some balloon's that is all and the restaurant is giving us a big round table over looking The Mersey to Liverpool.

This morning I have seen 2 x people viewing the bungalow which is empty next door but one both single people one man and one woman so we shall be getting new neighbours very soon,it should be like a new build with all the work the HA has done its in a nice position on the cul-de-sac but has a very tiny sloped rear garden not even big enough for a garden shed which is a shame it does however have the most appealing frontage.

I'm off out now to Morrisons for some weekly shopping before getting ready for my trip out this afternoon catch up later x

Good morning everyone, sunny and warm here, all my washing has dried this morning, even the towels Daisy!

Thanks Daisy, I phoned BIL last night, he is very upset but coping, he told me the mans son was there when he fell, poor man seeing it happen. MY GD's both love baking, always made something when they were here. They do at home as well, which is a good thing. I can understand your GD not seeing lard before. I don't think we can buy it here, in fact I know we can't.

Nanto, there are some lovely houseboats, I pass a lot when cycling near rotterdam and they are amazing.

We go to a health centre in the village to have our blood taken, you used to be able to just walk in but now it is by appointment.

I have been looking for some stretch slacks for a long time, I like them on when I am cycling. I have ordered some on line, either not a good fit or too short as they are all 7/8 at the moment, I had the bright idea to go to C&A in Delft, we had one in the village but it closed 5 years ago when a new supermarket came, I don't know why I didn't think of that before, I got 2 pair for half price so I was pleased.

On my way home I pass the bottom half of a windmill with a fantastic garden, lots of wedding photo's are taken there, I know the man repairs antique clocks and I have been meaning to ask him for years if he will do mine, it is still working but as he said, I take the car to the garage to be serviced when it is still working!!!! He is right as well. I am taking it tomorrow morning, there are not many left that repair the antique clocks.

she loved it when we had them in England but they all closed down many many years ago .

I still like Lard in pastry it gives a nice crumb

Glamm next door have 4 cats and every night they line up on the shed roof to sleep , I think its cool and safe up there maybe that's what Oliver thinks too .
