Laughing at that Oma! Storm will be back for more! My dog loved yogurt, he only had to see me get the tub out of the fridge and he was there, when empty he would carry it around licking it for ages.

Lizzie, Eva loves yoghurt as well. We always give her the pots to lick out, and with the large ones she picks them up by the rim and carries them into the living room. She puts them on the towel we put down for her and doesn't move until they are spotless!

Oma - no wonder that dog adores you!

Nanto - well done on getting your garden done.

If anything, it's been even hotter here today. I was going to do some painting, but it was too hot - the paint was drying before I could get it on the canvas!

Daisy, I think you’re right, hotter than ever today! I had a nice morning at my friends, we sat inside with the fan going full blast and it was fine. The walk home was the worst bit, luckily she only lives round the corner.

Dexter used to love yoghurts and would lick the pots out. He doesn’t seem to like them now, isn’t bothered at all.

Oma, it was Jimmy, my hubby chose him out of a nest of puppies just before he died, he was supposed to be a small dog!! I had to get him another home when he was 10 years old as I had pneumonia and had to have tests for allergy and number one was ..........dogs. I found him a really good home with a friends friend, sadly he died after a couple of years and they found Jimmy a place at a ladies farm, she took dogs in to find them good homes, she took to Jimmy and he stayed there, he was almost 18 years old when he died.

This photo was taken a year before he died so he was 17 years old.

I remember Jimmy eating your phone Lizzie I'm glad he found good homes when you had to let him go.

Very hot and busy library afternoon!

Lizzie - Jimmy was beautiful. You must have been so sad to have to rehome him, but he was obviously well-loved and cared for - and a good age.

Gem - people must be taking lots of books out to sit and relax in the heat.

Enfys - it wasn't just me then, thinking it was even hotter today. There was no breeze today either. It's still 26C on my weather app!

I've done almost nothing today - it was so hot! I read most of the day - finished one book and started on another straight away. I did do a bit of gardening at tea time - fed the tomatoes and topped up the planters with compost, then did the watering at the back. It's also going to be a warm night, it seems.

Eva had another shower when I'd finished the watering, although it was too hot to let her run round for more than 5 minutes, but she loved the shower!

Ladies, I hope you can all get some sleep tonight. xx

I have been to the market in Delft for my cheese etc, lovely going through the woods in the shade, I am now going to take a parcel and buy some new tea towels, with not having a dishwasher I do use them a lot.

                            Morning ladies ,
                            Stuffy night I have a headache ,

B off to the Freemans this morning for a checkup , he hasn't been since lockdown '

Nanto I have just stood and did my ironing ,
I usually iron same day as I wash and dry but it was too hot yesterday so got them done before the heat sets in this morning

Lizzie we go through a lot of tea towels too , I'm not one to let dishes drip dry so towels get wet very quickly .
Always nice to get a fresh new tea towel out

DD rang just after 11 last night her Dishwasher gave up the ghost not before it emptied water all over her kitchen

She had it repaired a couple of month ago when it did the same thing ,
She wasn't happy as she had had a long day and was very tired but had to set too and clean everything up .

SIL & GS1 carried it out the front and put it on the drive , DD said she was so angry with it she went out and gave it a good kick

I really need to clean my floors this morning ,I usually do them on the night when Dog goes home but just couldn't be bothered last night .

Hope everyone is ok I will pop back later xxx

                              Good morning everyone.

                              Definitely another hot one Nan2!
I hope your headache soon clears Oma. I hope all good with B's appointment.
Shade is lovely in these hot times isn't it Lizzie.

Tesco delivery for us this morning. We only get them once a month now, so get quite a lot.
This afternoon I am going to my ex neighbour's for coffee. It was planned for Tuesday to tie in with school pick up, but GS1 was isolating so no school, he was here for the day!
As far as I know, we are driving to the coast late afternoon, for fish and chips We decided to do this on Monday then I remembered I was hosting the quiz at 8. This was our next free time.

Have a good day everyone. Find the shade

I have just hand washed all my floors ,
As I cant get on my knees i had to bum shuffle through the Dinning room Kitchen Utility and downstairs Loo ,

Now i know why I use a mop its not a dignified way of getting around and its a bugger to get back up , plus the bottom of my dress is soaking now
Dont try this at home folks
