Lizzie the golf course is York Golf Club but a few miles out of York and only a mile or so from us.
    I love salmon Oma.

We had a lovely time with auntie, both in her flat and the on site bistro. We were with her for 12 and left after 4, so did a lot of chatting.

Today SIL has been building a Pizza oven table and a log store ,
He finished the log store and before he could fill it Storm decided to lay down in it ,
DD took one of his bed out and put it in and he has been in there all afternoon ,
I think SIL may have lost his log store hahaha

Oma - that looks like the perfect spot for Storm to lie in the garden! Bad luck about their log store.

I love salmon, and usually keep a side of salmon in the freezer for guests. Of course, during lockdowns we've had to eat it ourselves!!

Lizzie - I hope your cupboard arrives as promised - once you've decided to do something it's nice to get on with it, isn't it.

Gem, I bet your auntie goes to bed tonight tired but very happy after such a lovely time with her favourite nieces. How had she fared during the lockdowns?

The weather here has been awful all day - sudden downpours and very chilly. Guess which silly idiot chose to wear crop trousers and a thin t-shirt!!

We had a lovely time with the family today. We haven't seen one of the nieces for about 2 years, and I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy her company (they are both lovely, but we keep in touch more regularly with her sister).

Oma, Storm certainly looks happy in there. SIL may hay have to build another log store.

Daisy, good to hear you had a lovely time with your visitors.

Nice bright morning to start the day.

Corned beef pie, homemade chips, peas and gravy for dinner.
Took the pie out of the freezer last night.

Good morning Nan2, Oma and everyone.

Daisy, that must have been a lovely family day.
My auntie is very practical and resourceful and just gets on really. Her DS and DIL live just down the road and have been Bubbled with her, and there are the public areas of where she lives, where she can meet other residents, whilst social distancing. She hasn't left the building apart from to go to her son's house or the hospital for her eye injections, but she has coped. I too thought she would be tired last night!

Oma I hope MIL's shopping trip works out! Storm looks cosy

GS1 to collect from school and bring back here, no other plans today. I may walk in to the village for a couple of things if it stays fine, and there is always some housework to do, but I will spend some time watching Catch Up too. OH will be on the golf course.
Salmon for tea tonight as you have all been talking about it! I love it, OH not so keen so we don't have it as often as I would choose.

                  Happy Tuesday ladies.

Good Tuesday morning everyone. The sun is shining here - I hope it lasts for a while as we've had plenty of rain recently.

I was too tired to clear the kitchen up last night, apart from putting things in the fridge, but when I came down this morning it was all done! I think we must have a Kitchen Fairy!

Gem - I'd forgotten your aunt's DS lived near by, but still for such a sociable lady things must have been quite hard. Enjoy your relaxing morning. I've noticed the housework will always wait till you're ready to do it!

Oma - I do hope your MIL doesn't cancel the shopping trip again - good luck. I hope she finds something she likes, and still likes tomorrow. xx Yes, the meal did go to plan yesterday. I was glad I'd done so much prep in advance. I made a pineapple tatin for pudding and it didn't look very professional but it tasted fine and was very easy to make. We've got casserole leftovers for today, so no cooking for me.

No plans for me today - a bit of a lazy day - but OH has arranged to go and see a friend who has just come out of hospital this afternoon.

Good morning, it looks like a better day here, I have done my shopping and got my bargains, I have enough toothpaste and hair cream to last me a few years! I get the cream for GD1 as well, for her curls.

Oma, that is a lovely open kennel for Storm! Good luck with the shopping trip, I hope your MIL get what she wants.

We must all be having salmon today, I have just got mine out of the freezer.

I want to order a new kitchen tap, I have got one I really like so could order it, the one I have isn't very old really but leaking and with the wooden work top that isn't very good. Have you see the prices of taps????? I have seen them for €2,000, no free kitchen included in that price.

Gem, you would enjoy the meeting with your auntie.

Daisy, what a lovely kitchen fairy you have!

I am going to hoover through and get the floors cleaned.

Nanto, I have never heard of corned beef pie, is that like a shepherds pie?

Oma, Storm looks very cosy, hope the trip with Mil for the cushions works well.

Gemini, I bet Auntie was pleased to see you both

Daisy, pleased the visit from family went well, nice to get together again.

I love salmon, well I like all fish.

Went to see GD1 and baby H, she is such a good and happy baby, when I left GD got her ready to go for a walk but before she could get going it started to rain.
Had an email from the NT Group that they are hoping to hold the holiday in Sept. to Chester if enough people wanted to go. I will discuss it with the friends I go with, I would like to go.

Lizzie - I'm glad the weather's a bit better - you must be fed up with getting wet. I know good taps are expensive, but that does seem a bit excessive. We've got a leaky tap that needs changing, but it's not very old, so a bit disappointing.

Plant - I do hope you get your holiday to Chester. Is this the one that was cancelled last year? Little H sounds wonderful Your family does have lovely happy babies - I remember how your GGD1 was always smiling, too.

Lizzie we in the north east make Corned beef pie by mixing a tin of corned beef, mashed potato, onions ( optional ) salt and pepper together ,
Then putting in a pastry case , like a meat pie or even making it into Pasties like Cornish pasties , simple but tasty .

We bought a new tap from Amazon a couple of weeks ago one of those swan neck types with the pull out spray hoses it was only £45 worth having a look xx

Well MIL found some cushions after going from shop to shop she chose the ones in Dunelm she seen first ,
Had me worn out she was hard work , I warned her I wont take them back if she changes her mind B's sister will have to go back with them .

At one point B was so fed up he went and sat in the car
She kept saying her back was hurting and she was tired but still ended up trawling around 5 shops way out of the way of each other .

Oh Plant it would be good if you could go on your little holiday , nice to hear Baby H is still as adorable

Daisy I could do with you domestic fairy

Gem B not a great Salmon fan either , he will eat it but not his first choice so he has something else

Yes, it was cancelled, I shall go if my friends decide to go. Fingers crossed. Spent most of the day with DD1 and baby H, we went to JL, had lunch, had to book and wait an hour, just time for me to buy H a jacket with a hood (she only has a sun hat). I also bought sun screens for the car window. Expensive day for GM.
