Good morning. Looking nice out there.

Gardening today,if it stays fine.
Not a lot to do. Cut the grass and hubby has rose to plant that we bought yesterday.

Nephews visit was unexpected. He was passing when hubby was outside,so we had a lovely catch up.

Kippers,we haven't those for years.

Gem,pleased Auntie is ok,it will be lovely for you to see her.

Hubby gone to the car boot with his brother,so i'm going to crack on with a few jobs.

Your OH does like his car boots doesn't he Nan2? Do you ever go with him, or just enjoy the alone time?

This afternoon OH and a friend will be at the golf course manning the Halfway House (shed near hole 9 where refreshments are sold) Volunteers man it during some competitions, for a couple of hours. OH asked if I wanted to go so I will do. I had no other plans!

I need to get myself going this morning. We ordered some wine for some friends on our grocery oder this week and they are calling round to collect it and will stay for a coffee this morning. The living room looks like a tip so I'd better give it a bit of TLC. Oh dear, happy memories of entertaining friends in the garden!!!!

Not a day to garden here at the moment but its not forecast rain till later , just dull .

We have a food fair at the local park today , first one ever so we are gong to that see what its like ,
We know the German street food van will be there and a Artisan Bread stall so they will be visited

Its not far from us I could walk it in 10-15 minutes but with B we will have to take the car so hoping we get parked easy .

Nothing to do today , the towels are in the wash after our showers but that's it the day is mine

Good morning, very heavy rain here early morning but dry at the moment. My dish washer has decided it has had enough! I wouldn't mind but it was full and I had to wash it all by hand. I don't think I will bother with a new one, it was handy when the girls ate here a few times a week but with me being on my own I won't bother, I have had my eye on a cupboard a while to fit in its place, handy for washing liquids etc.
Gem, enjoy your visit to the gold course. I hope it is dry for you all.
Oma, the food fair sounds good.

Gemini, Enjoy your tea and cake at The Halfway House.

Late getting up so not dressed yet. Hope to get in the garden later, when the weather gets warmer and the ground drier I shall do some hoeing. Sil cut the grass yesterday and trimmed the edges, so the garden looks a bit more cared for. Unusual for us we haven’t had a visit from any of the family, see what today holds.

Oma, that sounds a nice way to spend the day, I hope you are able to taste some goodies.

Lizzie, that sounds a goo idea to replace the dishwasher with a useful cupboard.

Lizzie a cupboard will be more useful im sure , A dish washer is nice to have but when you live on your own its quicker to do them by hand .
I dont have room for one in my little house .

Plant take care gardening don't do too much , it must be strange having none of the family about, very quiet I imagine

We had a nice stroll around the food market , not as big as we thought but as its the first one they testing it out to see if it will be popular ,
I think judging by the crowds arriving when we left it will be .

There is a bigger one next weekend on a different site ,we will go see that one too ,

We came back with Bread , Cheese , Italian sweets , Artisan scotch eggs , (Black pudding and Onion Bhaji flavour's) and Cinnamon buns
Several street food stalls there , Lebanese , Polish , Jamaican , German , Along with a few craft stalls plus a young couple busking and I must say the young girl of about 17 was remarkable people were stopping to listen to her

Going to have lunch now (Scotch eggs )

Oma, the food market sounds good.

Gem, no i don't go to the car boot with hubby.
I prefer to stay home and get some jobs done early.
He's happy to go with his brother. 2 nephews went with them this morning.

We have just been to the local shop for bread.
When we went to the supermarket yesterday,they didn't have any of the bread i wanted left.
It's getting very windy. Could feel a drop of rain in the wind.
We got the gardening done when hubby came home this morning.
It didn't look very good weatherwise,so thought we would get it done while it was dry.

Lizzie, i know what you mean about not needing the dishwasher now,but i would miss ours.
It's only a slimline but i do like it.
If we had bought a full size one,we would have had to take a cupboard out,which neither of us wanted to do.

Nanto, mine was a slimline, when GDs ate here it was handy, I will have to get used to washing up, I do anyway, pans etc. I got it disconnected then asked neighbor to help me take it down to the garage. He has to go to the DIY place on Tuesday, that is where I have seen the cupboard so I am going with him.

Oma, the market sounds good, at the moment we have nothing much going on, I do think the weekly markets are open now.

it has stayed dry all day after the very wet start.

I didn’t get into the garden, the weather has been a bit changeable, Sil says it is supposed to get warmer this week. I did some sewing on the sewing machine, had to unpick some so I am giving it a rest.

Plant, i saw the forecast on tv this morning.
She said it will get drier and warmer during the week.
It started raining here about 6.30.Coming quite heavy at times.

I enjoyed my time at the halfway house. The cheeky squirrels kept wanting to come in so I had to keep shooing them away!
We walked over the course to the halfway house, but we took a buggy back. The three of us wedged in and OH driving us between the trees and over the bumps. It was fun 😳
