Glamma, well done for the bargains. Can't start too early for Christmas.

Had plenty of sunshine today. Was a bit nippy at times when it clouded over.

Gem, pleased GD was in a happier mood today.

Oma, poor Storm. I'm not surprised if the antibiotics make him feel a bit poorly - just like us humans. Is he having pre- and pro-biotics as well? That used to help Rusty when he was on them.

Gem - two viewings already - that's good going. Poor GD. I really do feel for her. My GD1 is the same - she gets worried and upset and ends up with tummy aches if things like that happen at school. She's still struggling to come to terms with the Covid restrictions and gets anxious and teary before she goes into school. It breaks your heart, doesn't it. You want to protect them from people being nasty to them, but you know they've got to learn to cope somehow or other. I'm so glad your GD was her usual happy self today. Both girls have just started Karate lessons (I think it's called freestyle combat karate) - is this what your GD does?

Sorry Daisy I misled you! I don't know why I said viewings as I meant valuations by estate agents

          Good morning everyone.
          Drizzly here this morning.

Daisy yes, GD and SIL2 do karate. I hope your GDs enjoy it My GS1 has just started Mixed Martial Arts, whatever that may be!

As we can't get together as a whole family to celebrate DD3's birthday, her OH has arranged 3 family events for her! This morning is brunch here, homemade bread and pastries supplied by SIL. DD, SIL and GS1 are coming too.
This afternoon was to be taking a boat on the river with DD and SIL2 and the children. The forecast is appalling so that has been postponed. Tomorrow they will be at her dad's for a celebration. Sometime in summer we hope to get together to celebrate all the birthdays properly!
This afternoon OH and I will be at my mums for the first property valuation.
We were booked to eat out with friends at 5, but once again the weather will spoil plans. We don't think eating outside is going to be feasible, so the back up plan is takeaway in our friend's conservatory. I will take a diet coke with me, as no alcohol due to the antibiotics.

          Happy Saturday ladies.

Good Saturday morning, everyone. It's dark, dreary and wet here as well. Plan A today was to do some jobs in the garden. I think we'll need a Plan B!!

Gem - what a pity the weather is going to mess up some of DD3's birthday celebrations, as well as your evening out.. It's lovely that GD and her dad share the interest in Karate. I'm sure the estate agents will see the potential for your mum's house. How are you feeling today? Love the naughty kitties in your graphic, but I see the clever goldfish is keeping out of reach.

Nanto - not a day to want to go out, is it. Still, you'll enjoy a potter round the supermarket - and perhaps find a few treats to make up for the weather.

Grauntie - I hope you're ok and starting to feel better.

WeeGranny - how is your OH today?

Gem, such a shame the weather has spoilt plans for the birthday celebrations.
Hopefully you will still enjoy the day.

Hope GD is feeling better about school , she is a sensible girl talking about it is better than bottling it up x

Daisy plan A isnt such a good idea today if the weather down your end is anything like here

Storm came in his football T-shirt yesterday he is not amused she is giving him something to settle his tummy but not sure what , mind you he still eating so that's a bonus .
                  Last antibiotic today thankfully

Had a good clean through with a bucket of flash this morning , washed and polished everything that stood still ,
B did the tops of the doors as im not good on step ladders at the moment
Bit difficult getting skirtings done I cant bend down because I go dizzy cant get on my knees im having a joint flair up so I used the grabber thing that picks up litter etc wrapped a damp cloth around that and it did the job great

We then went to Home Bargains for some stuff MIL wanted there isn't one near her

I have my second Jab at 3 , we may drop the things off then or B may go over hers himself tomorrow .

Good morning, very dull here and rain due anytime. DS1 is at the boat and DIL is going today with the girls, rain is forecast for a few days so will see how they go on the maiden voyage. I was at DS2 yesterday, his precious studio is almost finished, everything in place and working, so many plugs and wires for him to sort out. I had lunch there then came home, I had to go for some antibiotics as the cystitis is back again.

I have just been out on the bike before the rain, I got cucumber, rhubarb and some lovely roses, long white ones with a greenish tint, it is Mothers Day here tomorrow so was very busy.

Gem, the forecast sounds the same as we have, shame about the celebrations for DD. I hope GD feels more relaxed now at school, children can be really nasty. It is upsetting for a lot of the children.

Daisy, good luck with plan B, I was watching Escape to the country and they were looking for a house in the New Forest.

Sorry if I missed any news.

DS2 has given me his air frier , I did veg and chicken in it yesterday, lambs chops today so will see how they turn out.

I bought some a couple of weeks ago and they had no smell at all such a shame but they looked pretty

Yes Oma, they smell slightly, just enough for me. There was a couple there before me, they got 10 bunches for friends, mothers etc etc! They have really long ones as well, these are middle length.

Sorry I haven't joined in much last week, having the bathroom noise and mess I couldn't seem to settle down and reply to all the posts. He should be finished early next week.

Miserable weather here, GD2 will be going back to London today, I will miss her, she is so lively and loving. DD and I are going to a shop that sells loose food products and you can refill bottles etc. I just want washing up liquid but DD takes containers and refills them with all sorts of products. As a family they are very careful not to buy anything that can't be re-cycled.

Gemini, I hope you get a good valuation for your mother's property. Shame your DD3 can't have a family gathering for her birthday.

Oma, What position does Storm play? I don't blame you for not going to Mil's with B when you have to suffer her sharp tongue. I wish you would come and wash all my paintwork.

Lizzie it must be lovely to be able to buy such lovely flowers, we can only buy supermarket flowers, no growers near here, just houses. Sorry to hear you have cystitis, very painful.

Daisy, I must have missed your post about GD, girls can be very spiteful.

Have a nice day everyone in spite of the weather.

Plant, I can understand the noise, men were busy on the first floor with a new bathroom, the noise was unbearable.

Yes, we are lucky in this area with the growers. We used to have shop here where you could buy everything loose to weigh, this was years ago and I don't know why they don't do it now, I do think there are shops in towns that do it.

Oma, you are not a horrible woman, I can understand you not wanting to go everytime. Storm will not be pleased with his shirt on. A good idea to use the grabber to do the skirting, I use one of those extra long shoe horns with a cloth attached.

Storm in a tshirt reminded me of our Great Dane who had to have an operation on her hip, which was to be kept covered. She ended up in a pair of y-fronts with her tail coming out the y! Had to take them off before she needed to 'go'.

OH is actually up and about today, fully dressed! He's allowed to have a shower, but not to get the scar wet! So I hose him down with the shower, he soaps himself and I rinse him ! Washing hair is another faff! he leans over the bath with head to one side and I try to avoid getting any water on the scar. Back to hospital on Monday.

Gem I hope all goes well with your Mum's house sale. It's all gone quiet here, but I'm hoping that's because they're doing the searches etc. If we haven't heard anything by the middle of next week I'll drop them an email.

Got quite a lot of the rubbish in the skip yesterday, but the weather has put paid to any outside work today. Wet and miserable. Poor GS is on a DofE trek around the countryside today and I don't envy him one little bit. They're doing another one tomorrow, hopefully it'll be better weather for them then.

Hope you poorly ladies soon feel better. Have a good afternoon ladies xx
