Oma - Poor Storm! I do wish people would take more responsibility for their dogs - that BC should have been muzzled. The plain tweed sounds perfect (and perhaps it would still 'go' if you change your mind about the colour scheme!) The garland sounds like a lovely idea.

Im liking the colour scheme Daisy just that one wall , I thought the Garland in White may take away the wall being so pink to me , we will see
DD has Antibiotics for Storm , Vet said it should heal without a stitch as long as he keeps off it , Its going to be fun getting him to take tablets , he may have to have a scoop of ice cream to get them down .
Funniest thing is he has been on a strict diet for 4 weeks as he weighed 33.7 kilo , he should be 29 kilo
vet weighed him today he still weighs 33.5 he hasn't even managed 1lb off hahaha
Vet said he is just going to be a chunky monkey
Wonder how Gem is ? hope they managed to ease the pain .Im not fat just 6ft too small

Storm looks so cute in the collar though Oma!
I am OK Oma, but in some pain!
Basically the tooth needs to come out, but it won't be until June. He gave me antibiotics and he ground the tooth down a bit to stop it touching the other one and causing pain. All the things he had to do have made it really sore, but I hope it will calm down.
I made a short appointment for 3 days after the extraction appointment so I have it in place in case of the dreaded dry socket. I don't want to go through that again.
I don't have to go for GS1 as DD's friend is collecting him. He is great friends with her little girl and loves their little dog, so he will be happy
I must admit I am happy to sit here under a throw watching TV rather than have to go out again.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Gem - Ouch - I really feel your pain with that tooth. Why won't the dentist extract it until next month? Or is it a matter of having to wait until the rest of your gum has healed properly? What a good idea to book the extra appointment, just in case. Resting this afternoon was a good plan. I hope the quiz went well, and you get a good night's sleep. Take care. xxx
Oma - I think the pink pulls it all together very stylishly. I hope you grow to love it. Storm does well to get ice cream with his tablets.
I finally got out into the greenhouse, and potted on some tomatoes and sowed some more seeds this afternoon. The sun was really warm, but it quickly got chilly if I left the door open. It was still blowing a gale."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning, showers with sun at the moment, at least the wind has dropped.
Gem, I do hope your tooth doesn't give you any more bother before they remove it, my poor neighbour had the rest of this teeth out yesterday, it didn't go as planned, he had to have 9 injections and took so much longer than expected, he was in so much pain last night and still bleeding.
Oma, you did well getting the material you wanted. Storms diet seems a bit like mine!!! Nothing goes. I hope he is feeling better now with the antibiotics.

Good morning ladies.
It's very sunny here Nan2, but there is still a breeze.
Oh my goodness, your poor neighbour Lizzie!! I hate the whole idea of having teeth out, so to have to have two out in a short time like this is horrific for me. That poor man though
Daisy, the only reason for waiting is that is when there is an appointment. Present restrictions make things harder. If I can't wait that long I will either try to be seen earlier or go private for that treatment (somewhere else, ours don't have any private patients)
Library this afternoon. No other plans today.
Happy Wednesday everyone.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Wind seems to have died down, nice and sunny atm. I sat in the sunroom yesterday afternoon, it was nice and warm but I thought it was going to take off with me in it. Plumber only here until 1pm today, most of the noisy stuff done. Need to pop out again today, I forgot to collect my prescription from the chemist yesterday. Had a call from a WI committee member inviting me to a tea at her house next week. Not sure who else has been invited.
Gemini, I do hope that tooth doesn't give you any more pain before it can be dealt with.
Nanto, I hope your Fil has an enjoyable birthday. Strange day to have a car boot, they are usually at the weekend.

Good morning one and all. Sunny here today, but still very blustery and chilly in the wind. I've been over to DS2's to collect Cooper and now both dogs have tired each other out enough for their first sleep!
Lizzie - your poor neighbour. I hope it all heals up quickly. It's not just the pain it's the shock to the system and probably feeling exhausted.
Gem - it seems such a long time to wait, but as you say, they are probably only treating half the number of patients they usually see. Did you sleep ok? I hope it's less painful today. Sending hugs. Enjoy your afternoon at the library. Is it getting busier now?
Nanto - my OH was talking about doing a car boot sale soon - he's got lots of stuff he needs to take!! But I always worry he'll come back with something to replace what he's sold! I do hope your FIL has a lovely birthday.
Plant - I love the idea of sitting in a nice warm, sun-lit sun room or conservatory when the wind's howling round. I hope the plumber makes good progress today. How lovely to think social activities are coming back into our lives - I bet your WI friend has invited a small group over.
Oma - Potato bread always sounds yummy. I'm sure you've mentioned B making it before, and I still haven't tried it. We get magpies as well - I hate it when I see them trying to raid nests of other birds for eggs or, even worse, chicks. We also get jackdaws and their only saving grace is that they're easy to scare off!! Poor Storm. I hope that wound heals up quickly. Some dogs are just naturally big for their breed. Cooper's the same. He's about 2 kg overweight according to the breed charts, but you can feel his spine and ribs and he's got a tummy tuck. He's very muscular and just big for breed. They've reduced his food slightly and he gets very few treats, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. But when you think about it - a kilo is nearly 2 ΒΌ pounds, so losing about half a stone is a lot for Storm, compared with, say us losing half a stone.
No plans for today, although there's plenty I ought to be doing! The laundry bin is full, there's lots of weeding to do in the garden and loads of other things, but I don't feel motivated today. I'v awarded myself a day off.
Grauntie - how are you? I hope everything is going well with your recovery. Sending hugs. xxx

Daisy, good idea to have a day off, this weather isn't very inspiring and I expect the soreness of your face is another factor, pain does tire you out.
I haven't every had potato bread Oma, do you substitute potato for some of the flour? I hope storm's injury is healing well so he can have that collar off.
Oma, we have a lot of moss in the courtyard I need to sweep up We don't get many magpies, just a couple usually, I dislike them.
Haven't used the sunroom today, not enough lasting sun. GGC day today, GGS comes home from school very tired then his Papa winds him up. We took them in the garden before their mother came to calm them down. GD1 back from Cornwall so it is all systems go, wedding only 12 weeks away and the bride still hasn't found a dress. GD2 is on her way from London to get hers shortened by a local lady.
