Good Bank Holiday Monday morning, everyone. Just think, if we'd still been working we would have had the day off today!

It's sunny at the moment, and I could do with getting some gardening done, but don't know where to start!

It's awful we're still having to cover plants up at night. We didn't have frost last night, but it was still very chilly.

Lizzie - you have got a busy day. I hope it all goes to plan. I don't suppose it's a Bank Holiday there is it? I'm sure those clothes will be very well received at the food bank place. Is the physio helping your knee? I was wondering how your new compression sleeves are doing as well.

Oma - it's a good idea to wait until everywhere is a bit quieter to hunt for your footstool fabric. Are you sticking with the pink-ish theme? I hope you're feeling happier with it - it really does look lovely.

Thanks for asking - the crater is still a crater, and I have decided I need to let it heal before I wear a mask again as every time it rubs the scab off and makes it bleed. Ugh!! The area being treated with Efudix is now sore, swollen and crusty. It's not my best look, but only 4 more days of cream, then hopefully it will start to get better.

Grauntie - how are you today? I hope you are getting as much rest as you need and any pain relief as well. When do you have to go back for a check up?

WeeGranny - I hope your OH has had a comfortable night and perhaps been more settled now the drain is out. Can you go and see him at all?

Glamm - I was thinking about you yesterday - I hope the day went as well as possible and your little GGS enjoyed his and his Great-grand Dad's special day. xx

Clover - I hope you're ok and getting out and about a bit. Will you be able to go and see your family soon? I know some of our relatives in Wales have been able to meet up with their DDs in England for an afternoon, but my BIL says they will be able to come to England and stay overnight later this month.

Gem - how is that poorly tooth today?

      Good Morning ladies.
Nan2, I was listening to the awful Bank Holiday weather forecast last night. So far it is calm here. Sun, but cold.

Lizzie, the clothes donations linked to food banks is a good idea.

Oma, I had to take co codamol (which I hate taking) in order to sleep. The problem seemed to be that my extraction and follow up to remove the tooth were done by a different dentist at my practice, as emergency. The tooth next to it has been filled twice in the last few months by my own dentist but apparently still has decay, according to the dentist I had to see in Hull over Easter for the Dry Socket problem. When I had the stich out back at my own surgery the dentist told me I needed to book with my own dentist to have the other tooth seen to. The earliest date was May 26th which was a long time. I will be phoning tomorrow, I can't wait that long.
      Storm deserved his ice cream!

Daisy, good idea to not wear a mask for now. Are the disposable ones any easier? I find them a looser fit which makes me less hot in warm weather, and not as close to the face.

I am going with OH (I'll wait in the car of course) for her vaccine this morning. Then she wants to call into a couple of shops on the way back.
Quiz tonight. If I don't have to take any more co codamol before then I can probably manage it!

      Happy May Bank holiday everyone.

Gem - our posts crossed. Your poor tooth must be really painful. It's so difficult when different dentists keep treating you and there's no continuity. I hope your own dentist will sort it out for you this week. Co-codamol knocks me out as well!

Are you ok after your second jab yesterday? It's good S is getting hers today.

Disposable masks are actually worse, because my face it so tender and sore - they are quite rough and abrasive. Fabric are softer but the positioning of them is just in the wrong place! I'm trying to avoid situations where I need a mask!

I hope you're ok for your Monday night quiz. xx

A visor would be better for you Daisy, but I agree just avoid situations where you need a mask for now x

Gem - I hadn't thought of a visor. As long as it's not too warm it would be the answer. I'm hoping things will start to improve when I can stop using the cream.

Oh Daisy, poor you. I suppose those visors are hot if it is sunny.

Gemini, so sorry to hear about your tooth problem, I hope you get it fixed soon. Have fun with the Quiz, I hope you win.

Oma, how is Storm? What a shame your Sil wasn't walking him. Best to keep away from the shops today, are you looking for plain or patterned fabric?

I messaged GD to see how the holiday was going, she said baby H hasn't enjoyed herself, she has been very unsettled, shame because she is such a good baby, I hope she settles again when they get back on Tuesday.

WG, I hope your OH is feeling more comfortable, good job they are not in a hurry to discharge him.

I am going to finish the gardening today, weather permitting. The forecast for the rest of the week looks dire.

Daisy, no, not a bank holiday here, the children do have 2 weeks holiday, May holiday it is called, we have ascension day here next week and it usually includes that. The sleeves are a good fit, I have to wash them a few times before I can say for sure. I should have had a new knee fitted years ago, but, with the lipedema they are never keen on operating so I try to keep the pain away with exercising etc and it usually does help. I will see what the physio says, it isn't as bad as it was when I got in touch with them.

The clothing shop in Delft for the food bank is quite big, in an area I don't usually go to so I was pleased I had navigation with me, 2 very friendly ladies and very thankful.

Gem, good luck with the tooth.xxx

Strange! I have been to the physio, I had an idea that the pain in my knee came because I had pain in my foot and I wasn't walking like I should. I was right, he made an ultra sound and it is arthritis, not very pleased but somehow expected it. I can have an injection in it, a specialist does that at the same time as they make an ultra sound then they know exactly where to do it. A few years ago they discovered arthritis in one of my toes so it has just got worse. I hope the injection helps, he said there isn't much they can do as it is wear and tear of the bones.
