Enfys, you will feel sad, it is a strange time to get used to being on your own, I said that to my BIL, normally he is active, out and about, now he is stuck at home on his own for the first time in 50 years.

We have just had an update! Only one person allowed to visit each day, they hope to get the curfew through by the weekend, no flights allowed from the UK, South America or South Africa. I hope it all helps.

Enfys, lovely to hear from you, this is not the easiest time to lose a loved one, very hard to distract your sad thoughts. Sending hugs. I am having my vaccination on Sat.

That's good news that two of our ladies are having their vaccine soon.

Still pouring down here. We are lucky that we don't get flooded.
Some areas not to far away do get flooded though.

Enfys I know just how you feel. With this awful non year I feel that when I can go out again I’ll have to get over losing G all over again ( not that I ever will completely) as I, at last , get to go places we used to go together. If times had been normal I would have been past these hurdles by now.
It hasn’t stopped raining all day
Gem I’m glad you “enjoyed” your outing to the dentist. I’m spending quite a time like S doing jigsaws.
Glad to hear jabs are getting nearer to home I haven’t heard of anyone round here having a jab yet but on the other hand I only go for a walk once a day and never speak to anyone so I wouldn’t hear anyway😀

              Stay safe everyone.

Clover - I hope you don't have to wait too long for your jab. Hopefully by the time our over-70s group has had the jab and they have become effective the days will be longer and we'll be that bit closer to Spring. I think jigsaws have become very popular especially during this lockdown. There's an informal swap shop going on in our road with people passing them on from one neighbour to another. It's even helped to foster a closer community spirit in the road.

                          Good morning everyone.

I hope none of you are affected by the storms and flooding, it looks bad on the news.

Moving day for DD1 today. I will miss visiting their little house, which I liked very much. They needed somewhere a bit bigger, with more garden, and to be in the catchment area for a better secondary school so it's a positive move. And 5 minutes down the road from us!
GS1 will be here whilst they move, and Thursday is the day for the other GC, so all 3 here today. GS1 is staying overnight, which he is very excited about. I can't remember when he last had a sleepover here. I'm sure he will be up very early tomorrow, excited to go to his new house!

Thinking of those with troubles, and hoping today is as good a day as it can be.

Good morning. Feel awful for those who are flooded.
Sometimes it takes them months and months before they get sorted.

It was raining heavily when i went to bed last night, when hubby came to bed it was snowing.
Just cold and windy this morning.

Gem,busy day for DD. Hope the move goes smoothly.

The sun is actually shining here at the moment, very windy though.

Good morning everyone. It was very windy in the night (I think!) but today the sun's rising and there's a fair bit of blue sky, which is lovely to see as it never got light yesterday!

Nanto - floods are horrible and frightening - you never know how high the water's going to get, and of course, it's not nice clean water. My youngest BIL and SIL live in a bungalow and when they were flooded they were out of their house for months and months. They didn't even have the option to move any of their furniture upstairs, and my SIL says she'll never forget standing watching helplessly as the flood water approached.

Gem - I hope moving day for GS2 and his mum and dad goes smoothly. I'm sure all your GCs will be delighted to spend some time together, and I think you're going to have a very tired but excited little house guest tonight. Best wishes for their lovely new home.

Lizzie - it does you good to see the sun, doesn't it. Take care on your bike though if it's windy.

I'm going to do some housework today. Yes I am, I really am. I think!! We shall see.
