Morning, Oma! We posted together - but the difference is you've done your shopping and your housework. I've just got up and am just going to get showered and dressed.

Enjoy your book and stay warm.

        Good morning ladies.

Our weather is often similar Nan2, but at the moment we have sunshine and blue skies. I hope some comes your way.
It's frustrating when the grass won't dry for a final cut Daisy. OH got ours done this week, not sure if Mum's needs another cut though. The next door neighbour who always did that for mum stopped when she left, so that's another job for us. He still cuts mum's side of the high dividing front hedge though, and they keep an eye on the place, so I can't complain.
I will go to your thread Daisy. I also have a title and germ of an idea for a story! I hope to write that over the next few days.
        Early bird again Oma

This morning we are going over to my mum's house. To put out the garden waste bin for tomorrows collection, to switch on a second timer, for the bedroom lamp this time, and to collect some food. We had thrown out all perishable food months ago, but tins and unopened packets remained. I went through these last week and threw away any out of date . The rest we are donating to a new protect in out village to distribute food to the needy. Dropping off days are Wednesday so we will take them next week.

GD and GS2 from school this afternoon

Take care everyone and have a good day.

I am slow this morning but have done a lot, haven't been shopping, like you Oma I like going to the shops early, I have cooked beetroot and got my cooker cleaned. I have ordered some new cutlery, what I have is far too much and I have never been keen on it, I like plain styles and Groupon had a good offer of Villeroy and Boch, I have looked a few times and made the decision this morning so have been sorting the others out.

I have showered and cleaned the shower at the same time, I want to go to the library here in the village then picking GD2 and going to the one in their village.

Raining and very dark here - I hate days like this as I struggle to see very well. My eye condition makes it hard to see in the low light and dark. 😏
Been puppy proofing the house ready for Bella’s arrival next week. DH is still decorating so making good use of our last days in quarantine...... not that lockdown will be much improvement but we will be able to pop to the shop and go out for a walk. Back on grandparent duties starting Monday which will involve having the two year old all day and collecting the three year old from school and entertaining till 5pm.

Late on this morning, just done a keep fit class on Zoom with my Aqua group, Our Aqua teacher has arrange this whilst we can't have our class. Miserable weather here. raining atm. Yesterday evening the wind was so strong and blowing from the woods, so the sky was full of leaves and falling on our garden. Lovely time with GGC yesterday when DD was looking after them. GGD is walking and if she wants something she comes and gets us by the finger and leads us to what she wants. It is usually to her high chair for food. GGS is tired after school so just wants to watch television.

Oma, I suppose Storm had a lick of your table yesterday, does he moult? How is your shoulder, don't over do it.

Avo, how exciting, a new puppy, strap everything you don't want chewed to the ceiling. close all those small gaps in the boundary. I am sure he will be much loved, looking forward to the pictures.

Villeroy Bosch manufacture such lovely china and cutlery. OH and I visited the factory and museum when we were on a touring holiday. Enjoy using your new cutlery Lizzie.

Gemini, good idea taking the tins and packets to a place they are distributing food to the needy.

Daisy, I don't have any exotic plants to protect, you could do with a few fine days to deal with them and cut the grass. Our lawns are just grass and don't pretend to be lawns. I expect Sil did hope to give it a final cut, if only to pick up the leaves covering it atm.

It was quite dark early morning but the sun has come out and its nice and bright here now.
I managed to finish my bedroom yesterday and through away odd socks and underware that had seen their day,I have a bag of stuff waiting for collection from NSPCC tomorrow .
This afternoon I am going to our local B&M and Home Bargains to pick up some more wrapping paper for little ones I got to the last 2 x prezzies and ran out of paper .
Daisy,I got a surprise when I rang the groomer for Pops when he told me he was still conducting business he said salons where allowed to carry on taking bookings so she has been booked in for his first available date which is 1st December,he will collect her and bring her back when finished so she will be spick and span for xmas.

Avo, you will be kept on your toes with a puppy!

I did get to the library here and got soaked on my way home! Hailstones with it.

Glamm, we are all busy sorting everything out.

Arm and shoulder no better difficult to sleep but not much I can do so no point moaning about it but thank you for asking xx

I bet little GGD is a sweet baby i can see her pulling you to her high chair , she knows what she wants doesn't she hahaha.

Lizzie I bought new cutlery a few month back its been in the box in the cupboard ever since , like you I have loads and a big box of spare ones too , why I have no idea , or why I bought more , madness isn't it

Avo how exciting to be getting your puppy next week you will have your hands full with a pup and two little ones

Glamm there is always those knickers that are past their best but so comfy your reluctant to part with them or socks that you know should go out but maybe you can wear just a little longer

I havent been able to get a proper bra on for ages but I found a soft sports type that fastened at the front with wide straps in my draw I haven't worn for years its not the best colour but at least I can get it on and off , I knew I was keeping it for something hahaha

Grandson 2 came out of school shouting Grandma! and running to me, as he always does. One of the mums smiled and said to another ' You can tell when it's a Grandma, none of us get that sort of greeting'

To be fair I have never been with DD to pick him up. He could greet her in that way for all I know!

Gem - My GS2 used to greet me on the odd occasion I picked him up from junior school by hurling himself at me, shouting "Grandmaaaaaa". By the time he got to 10 I had to be careful he didn't send me flying!! I know how you feel! Mums used to say the same thing, then!

Lizzie - I hope your GD2 didn't hurl herself at you today! Is she taller than you? It's lovely to have new cutlery. We can go on using the old stuff year in year out, but I had a good turnout a few years ago and bought some new knives, forks and spoons from JL. It seemed an extravagance at the time, but they are so nice to use it's well worth it.

Oma - I bet Storm looks lovely, all fluffy and cuddly, even if he does lick everything in sight!

Plant - your GGD is growing up so quickly. Is she still as scrumptious and smiley?

Avo - it's awful not being able to see properly, especially in low light and must be so frustrating. A whole day with a pre-school grand child is exhausting, no matter how much you love them, plus the older little lad for the part of the day when he's probably tired. I know being in quarantine is frustrating, but I hope you've managed to get some rest ready for resuming Granny Duties. Well done to your OH for getting the decorating done. I'm sure you're well organised for Bella's arrival. I'm excited for you. xx

Glamm - Poppy is a lucky girl going to the groomers before Christmas. Isn't it always the last couple of presents when you run out of wrapping paper.

Our grass grows through most of the winter - I usually keep cutting it till New Year then try and have a month or so off, but it doesn't always work out that way!
