Mimi a hoover ir remarkable for dispatching spiders that or a hammer but thats a bit drastic on a delicate fridge

SIL's Grandad is pretty much the same they say its end of life care but nobody is giving them much info ,
they cant get a answer from the Hospital as they not answering the phones ,
Trouble is they up here and he is in Cornwall so not easy just to go to the Hospital and ask .

Well a bit of a waste of time speaking to the DR she just said he would send more pain killers out and get Physio to ring me ,
Thats the problem with phone consultations it could be anything they just assuming its Frozen shoulder ,

she asked on a scale of 10 how is the pain , i said at the moment 8-9 its agony ,
Can you fasten your Bra , no i havent worn one for weeks cant get my arm up to fasten it even trying to fasten it at front and spin it round i cant get my arm into it
Can you reach a top shelf , COULDNT before the pain never mind now
Can you wash your hair , yes one handed with head under the shower
Can you raise your arm above your head , No

That was it The consultation was over ,
So now got to wait for a phone appointment with the Physio who will give me exercise's they have no idea if im doing correctly

Oh well this is the future i suppose
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Very windy here, but was perfect for drying the washing. Plenty of sunshine.
Did a pile of ironing this morning, now got another pile.
      Several other jobs done.
Mimi, i've never had a spider in the fridge.

Oma a hammer on the glass fridge shelf!!! I just gave him a quick flick with my cloth and he was last seen scurrying out through the open back door of the kitchen
Oma its hardly ideal 'seeing ' the physo via a phone consultation. As you say its the future and I personally think we were heading that way before Covid reared its ugly head, its just brought it upon us sooner than planned.

I notice Boris is making another live broadcast at 4 this afternoon, its never ending is it. I ration my news intake to once a day otherwise I come completely engulfed in the dispare of it all.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

          A spider in the fridge!!
I'm not afraid of them, but not sure I would fancy meeting one face to face in my fridge Mimi
Hello Daisy. There are various lockdown differences about! I am in Tier 2, which means we can't have visitors in the house nor can we visit anyone else or go out to eat with anyone else (unless it's outside) Childcare is unaffected though.
Some other ladies are on Tier 3 now, the highest tier.
That doesn't sound too satisfactory Oma.
In some ways telephone appointments are better. OH and I have been a lot happier not having to go to the hospital for her last two appointments. The stress of going, being kept waiting in the consultation room a long time, paying to park etc. For things like your shoulder though being seen is definitely needed.

A day of housework and Netflix for me. A good combination for a free day. I got a line of washing dry too.

Good morning, I went to the physio yesterday to see if the muscles are a problem for the pain by my pelvis, they are! She did some movements etc then dry needling, now I have to go on Tuesday for an echo to see if any muscle or ligament is damaged. I must say I had less pain during the night with having the dry needling done. It was a young girl, small, slim built, I never expected her to have the strong hands she had!! She told me most patients say the same.

GD1 came later in the day, I had ordered her something for her birthday from Holland and Barrett, it was the wrong item! She asked if I could return it so I said I would do my best, I went to the next village after she had left and the lady in the shop couldn't have been more helpful. That is sorted now.

Oma, I am just reading your post. I had pain in my stomach, ultra sound at the hospital never showed anything, luckily, the pain was still there so decided to let the physio take a look and it is from my muscles, how can they know where the pain is coming from in your shoulder if they can't examine you?

                Good morning ladies ,
Lizzie its silly i mean yes this presents as a frozen shoulder but i read on the NHS web site trapped nerve in the neck or a torn cuff have the same symptoms but not the same treatment .

Nanto we have a beautiful orange sky at the moment , im hopeful for a dry day

Asda just been so that's cleaned and put away
We have the plumber coming sometime this morning with a part for my radiator in the utility that had to be ordered

Still no word on SIL's Grandad so im assuming no news is good news but i know the highs and lows of my Brother having it .

MIL was on the phone last night moaning bathroom not finished she hasnt a blind for the kitchen window no new sofas etc ,
B told her she cant do anything about it till we can go back so will have to live with it ,
I understand she's frustrated but in the grand scheme of things its trivial stuff.

Just put some white towels in washer with some Soda crystals to brighten them up they big bath sheets and take ages to dry in the tumble but im going no where so i have time to wait .

How are we all today ? Daisy how was the journey home did you sleep xx

                  Good morning ladies.

Lizzie it sounds as the the physio may help you.
Oma, my mum would always pester us about small things, and act as though they were huge and we had nothing else going on in our lives at all but to sort them out!!

GD and GS2 are coming for the day as it's teacher training day at school. No school run for me today. As I'm am still in bed I had better get up, showered and dressed!

Take care everyone and I hope today is a better one.

Good morning everyone. We've had a beautiful pink-cloud sunrise this morning. I hope it stays dry - lots of washing to do.

Oma - the journey home was ok, thanks. It was very busy but no hold ups until the usual one in Lyndhurst - half term looms large!

We both slept really well for about 7 hours - much needed - and this morning my knee feels a lot better. It's been very painful for nearly two weeks and I've been hobbling round, but this morning I can work relatively normally. We've got to go out shopping this morning. I've got one load of washing in which I hope will finish before we have to go out.

DS1 and DIL had a good afternoon. They need to sort cars out so they went to have a look at a couple after we'd left. Sadly DS can't drive, and may never be able to, which is gutting for him, but they were due to change DIL's car so may as well get on with that.

Typical - while I've been typing this, it's started to rain. At least I haven't hung the washing out yet!!

                    Back later. xxx

Gem - our posts crossed. Have a lovely day with GD and GS2. xx

Daisy I can empathise with the painful knee! I'm glad yours is improved, and that you both had a good night's sleep

That certainly doesn't sound very satisfactory Oma, a diagnosis over the phone and a telephone appt. with physio. There have been one or two comments in the papers about the doctors not returning when you can see a dentist, go into a chemist and have a flu jab etc. My GS2, the physio is only doing phone consultations. I also object to having to tell a receptionist what my symptoms are.

You must have been very tired Daisy. Would love to see the hedgehog hotel. Have you collected Eva, she will be so pleased to see you

What a shame the sofas were not able to be sorted before the change of rules Oma. One less thing for your Mil to chase you about.

Waitrose shop for me today, we have had rain, not sure what the forecast is for today.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Oma, I'm sorry to hear about your SIL's Grandad. I'm glad he passed peacefully, but his family must be very sad. Sending sympathies to them. xx
