Good morning all, I have missed so many postings. Daisy, I have no idea why I had so much pain on Friday, I am writing down what I eat etc and see how I react. I do have an abdominal ultra sound booked for the 29th.

Oma, how awful for those children to be in such a situation, sad! What was your father in law like Oma to have to put up with your MIL? She doesn't seem easy to please. I hope I don't get like that.

Good Sunday morning everyone. Quite an early start for me, but it's fine and sunny, and a nice day is forecast.

DS1 and DIL are coming for lunch if he feels ok, so it will be lovely to see them. But I must get my skates on, so I'll be back later.

I hope all the poorly people are feeling a bit better.

Oma, what a to-do with that man, and as Lizzie says, so awful for the children living in that family.

Lizzie - I'm glad you've got an ultra sound booked (sorry if you'd already mentioned it and I'd forgotten).

Take care everyone - chat later. xx

        Good morning dear ladies.

Oma, your MIL would try the patience of a saint for sure. It was good to see mum, but the outside visit is not ideal for her.
I'm glad you are feeling so much better Lizzie.
Have a lovely family lunch Daisy.

A free day for us both, I hope we will go out. It appears to have rained a lot overnight!
Something bit me when I was in the care home garden yesterday. I have big itchy swollen bites on my ankle, back, shoulder and wrist. I have been putting antihistamine cream on which usually works but they are still bothering me. I have just taken an antihistamine tablet so I hope that eases it.

        Have a good Sunday everyone.

Oma, I can only take Loratadine, the non drowsy ones. The other kind Cetrimide something or other, make me feel spaced out so I never take those.

Daisy, Have a lovely lunch with DS1 and family. A change of scene might help.

You must be very tasty Gemini to get all those bites, hope they ease soon.

I have been invited to DS and Dil's for a BBQ, doing well this weekend, I went out with DD, Sil, GD1 and her partner to our favourite pub for lunch yesterday, lots of empty tables in the garden. It is a lovely day and the forecast is good.

My Mil wasn't easy to live with, we shared houses for many years. My OH didn't like confrontation, I had to bear all her complaints, she never complained to OH. Her DD lived in America and when she came to visit they always fell out, they were both difficult ladies. I didn't dislike her but she hurt me too many times for me to like her. Problem was I married her son.

Plant, I get bitten if there are things about to bite!! DD2 and GD are the same.

How sad about your MIL Plant, no wonder you didn't like her.
I'm glad you are having a nice social weekend

Still waiting for completion of the flat so we are still enjoying their company and my GD1 is getting larger. They are both atm ironing their new Waitrose uniforms. They are not getting a bonus again this year but Waitrose can afford to change the uniform! I love going to my Dil and DS's but they always eat late on a Sunday so I am not expect until 2pm for a 3 to 3.30 BBQ. I am going to drop off GGD's birthday card, she is 1 year old tomorrow, I have transferred money into her A/C, she will have loads of presents. I will not go in as her other GP are there today. It is Dil's birthday Tues so I am going to take her cards and presents.

Good afternoon ladies. Hope everyone is well. Oma, have just read your posts! You have the patience of a saint ! Wow! She is very badly behaved! I’m glad you told her - especially regarding the suicide threat. Honestly she is VERY lucky to have you!!💐 I hate snide remarks and I’m glad you told her!
I had the fairies all day yesterday as my daughter and SiL wanted to get on with jobs. Don’t get me wrong we love having them but they render us exhausted after a day of playing, feeding and generally running round after them. I was fit for nothing when they’d gone!! So a very quiet and calm day today. Making a spag Bol but that’s about it - I’m too knackered!!
Have a lovely day all! Xx

Gem have you got any 1% hydrocortisone cream? That is quite good for insect bites- I get bitten all the time!

                        Good afternoon Ladies.
Glad to hear the gut has improved Lizzie.
Oma, you couldn’t make it up! Sorry it maddens you so, but it makes hilarious reading for the rest of us.
Thank you all for your good wishes. The saga goes on. I spent Friday in A&E with unbearable head pain. Delayed whiplash apparently. I have to go for an emergency eye test tomorrow as my right eye is foggy. The cure for head pain is industrial strength Ibuprofen and bed I have discovered. So that’s me sorted!
It’s a beautiful day here, I would love to go for a walk but I wouldn’t get far!
Enjoy what’s left of the weekend.

Oh dear Grauntie, that is not good, do as you think best and get that rest. My friend is on that strong Ibrufen for her pain but it isn't helping her much.

A lovely warm, sunny day here.

Lizzie hope you are feeling better 💐

FQ i have loads of unbelievable stories about her i could do a stand up comedy show or write a book

Like a few weeks ago looking at new sofas for her and she told the young sales man that her old sofa was still good enough for some Battered wife to use
Talk about stop the world and let me off ,

What she meant was it was still in good condition and some charity could maybe use it but that's not what she said ,
We were mortified . apart from anything else no its old fashioned and on its last legs .

We were in hysterical giggles on the way home after dropping her off at her house
