    Yoo hoo!
Up to the eyeballs and beyond with pain relief and I have tried to catch up.
OH has turned into a domestic God! He changed the water in a vase of flowers without having to be asked and then....then he did the ironing. 😳 He has never had to do either of these tasks before. The only trouble he had was changing the pillow cases. This was beyond him somehow. The duvet was ok but oh how he struggled with the pillow cases. A bit like Mr. Pastry, remember him?
All things considered he is being a star.
We went for our flu jabs today, another tick on the list.

A friend came for a cuppa yesterday. She has had a new thumb joint. There we sat, two left handers with our right arms in slings We had to laugh at how daft we looked. 😂
Everyone here seems to be falling to bits!
I have an appointment with GC 3 and a crossword via WhatsApp now so TTFN.
I hope all poorly OHs are feeling better today.

B sounds to be on the mend hopefully Oma.
I must arrange my flu jab Plant, the local pharmacy ate doing them at the village hall, by appointment.
Grauntie, these things take time to recover from don't they? Feel better soon and keep smiling!
I'm with you Nan2, if you want the heating on put it on, no matter what the date!

DD couldn't see Mum, I'll update on that thread later. She should be settled back in the care home by now.
We have been to a nature reserve. I 'll write about it later.
      Having a cuppa now

A pity DD couldn't see your mum. Hope she is settled in the care home now.

New pillows arrived today, so i hope we sleep ok.
They are the same as we already had so should be ok.

          Nanto - what lovely roses.

Lizzie - I'd be interested to hear how you get on with Opera. there are some things I really like (like the speed dial) and some things I don't - like trying to get WhatsApp up. It seems very hit and miss, and mostly miss!

Grauntie - what a star your OH is. I bet you wish he hadn't hidden his light under a bushel for all these years!! I hope the flu jab doesn't make your 'good' arm sore, or did you have it in your poorly one? I used to love Mr Pastry! Are you ok with the painkillers - no horrible side effects? Hopefully you can soon ease off them, but there's no point in suffering if you don't have to. Take care, and treasure that man - he's definitely a keeper. xxx

Gem - our pharmacy said they had a fairly limited supply at the moment and started a list before the vaccines came in, so you're wise to get on the case straight away. It's been beautiful here - you wouldn't have needed a fleece or jacket.

Grauntie, well done to your OH for stepping up,when needed.

Good morning Nanto, and all who follow later. That's a very expensive looking graphic with all those jewels.

It' a beautiful sunny morning here, but a bit breezy at the moment. I think we've got Cooper for the day - OH says his eye feels ok-ish. We'll see what the day brings - we're both anxious as it's DS1's angiogram today.

              I'll be back later.

Good morning, fresh and breezy here at the moment.

No real plans for today, Coffee with DD at some point and a friend is popping round to pick up some stuff they are taking to the tip for me when they take their broken washing machine later today.

Heard from the doctor yesterday about my recent heart monitor test. All mostly OK, just a few blips where my heart rate went up but nothing much to worry about as it was only for a few seconds. Of course, once I’d put down the phone after speaking to him I thought of all sorts of questions I wanted to ask so later that afternoon I rang back. They put me on to the nurse practitioner, a very helpful young man, who went through everything and answered all my questions and put my mind at rest. I knew if I didn’t do that I’d be worrying all night, he was very kind and Im really pleased That I spoke to him.

Im still busy in the garden and GD will come and help Which is nice. The man is coming on Monday to cut the hedges so that will be another job off the list. Have a lovely day, anyone poorly get better soon, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. 🌞🌞

                  Good morning dear ladies.
After being hidden behind clouds all day yesterday, the sun is out.

I can't eat beef Nan2, otherwise I would give your meal the thumbs up!
Enfys, it's good that the nurse practitioner could put your mind at rest like that.
Daisy, thinking of your DS today, and hoping all goes smoothly.

This morning I am going to see my ex neighbour (and client) for coffee. I called on him over the weekend but he didn't hear me as he was in the garden. It will be good to catch up. OH is accompanying her friend on another test drive!
This afternoon OH and I plan to go to my mum's to do some garden tidying.

Have a good day all. I hope B feels better and Grauntie is in less pain.

How nice of the Nurse Practitioner was able to put your mind to rest Enfys, you always thinks of things you should have asked.

I hope the poorly ones and the injured ones are feeling better today.

Grauntie your OH is being a star, I remember Mr Pastry.

Good morning ladies. Another lovey sunny one here. Slightly cooler but that suits me .
Enfys very glad you are ok. Good to get all your answers and then you’re not worrying.
Daisy hope angiogram goes ok. Must be a worry. 💐
My Husbands birthday today and the fairies are coming for tea - made them chocolate cupcakes and we’ll stick a candle in one and sing.
Hope everyone has a lovely day. Especially if you have sun!

Deep breath Oma, she is lucky to have her family so close to do fetch and carry for her.

Pleased to hear B is on the mend, you will be pleased to get your cupboard doors fixed.

I have just spent another hour on the border trying to dig out the dreaded Japanese Anemones, I give up they have beaten me. I think the roots go down to Australia. I know I cannot get rid of them but if I could reduce them that would be good. I think I will wait until the Spring and when they pop their heads through I am going to chop them off, they might get the message then that they are not welcome.

Going to pop to Hobby Craft soon to get some longer knitting needles, might pop into M&S Food Hall if it is quiet.

Daisy, I am getting used to Opera, only, it doesn't open all the sites so use Safari along with it. I do like the speed dial and have Whatsapp working! I hope their is good news of your DS today.

Oma, you will be pleased when MIL has her curtains. Good to hear B is feeling better, he must be to start on the cupboards.

I have had a cleaning morning, I was going out on the bike, but, had to go to the second hand place with a few things so thought I would have a cleaning day. I have to be in this afternoon for a delivery that I totally forgot about yesterday.

I have moved a few pictures around to my bedroom etc and wanted something for on the wall in the small spare room, that is the one leading to the balcony, changing things around there was a scrape on the wallpaper, I didn't fancy wallpapering, I had a look around the second hand place and there was a huge print, new, still packed in cellophane, exactly the colour I wanted for that wall so I got it, came home and got it hung up and it looks really good. The lady there said " so you bring a car load and take something home with you, that is how it works here".

I called in the garden centre, first in, I wanted a saucer thing for under a plant, I re-potted it last night and it needed a saucer so went for one, only, they have moved all around the Christmas things, instead of having the Christmas show in one hall they have spread it through the centre, all this has to be worked out for the distancing etc. I had to ask a man where to find what I went for.
