I went out with DD this morning and within a few miles I felt sick and had to quickly leave the shop, I was sick several times so put myself to bed, took a bowl with me and later passed out, found myself on the floor. I am feeling rotten but sickness seems to have stopped. I am so angry, I was supposed to be at a garden party with my guiding friends and it has been a lovely warm and sunny day. I have also had to cancel dinner with DSand DIL tomorrow

Oma,it was a day at in laws and a long day.
I emptied all the kitchen cupboards this morning. Got half of them done, when hubby came to pick me up.
Came home to have something to eat, then went back in the afternoon to do the rest of them.
Hubby came to give me a hand. Cleaned them all, inside and out.
Everything put back neat and tidy.

Plant, how awful for you. Hope you feel better soon.
What a shame you had to miss the garden party.

Lizzie - I think the problems with seeing (or not seeing) GPs is pretty widespread in England (I don't know about Wales etc). As far as them requesting photos is concerned I refused point blank to send the doctor a photo of the solar keratosis on my face. I pointed out I was a retired photographer and knew I wouldn't be able to get sufficient detail on my phone for it to be any use. She accepted that and gave me an immediate appointment. But my OH had his COPD review via phone and filling in a form! Like asthma, how can the doctor judge someone's breathing over the phone!! Madness, but sadly I think I lot of serious illness will go undiagnosed.

Plant - poor you. You must have been so disappointed as well as feeling poorly. Do you know what caused it? I do hope you're feeling better tomorrow. xxx

Nanto - that was a long stint at your in laws, but what a good job to get done. I bet they were very pleased to see the kitchen cupboards so neat and tidy.

Enfys - I'm not surprised you're feeling tired. It must have been a day of such mixed emotions, and you were sensible to have a quieter day today. I hope you've relaxed a bit and can perhaps get a good night's sleep tonight.

I am shattered and already ready for bed! The GDs have been really great all day. They were late going to sleep last night and were quite happy pottering around this morning. They've sorted out the toy box - supposedly to weed out things they no longer want, but it seems as full as ever!

They had waffles with ice cream, honey, strawberries and blueberries for breakfast, with a large mug of drinking chocolate! I made sausage and fried egg sandwiches for lunch and said they could eat them any way they chose. GD1 demolished every last crumb without help from any cutlery at all! Then fruit for pudding. They are such a pleasure to feed and will eat almost anything.

We were hoping to make tomato chutney this afternoon, but were missing several ingredients. OH went and stocked up but by them it was too late to start it. GD1 made an amazing piece of origami this afternoon. She's got endless patience and produced what looked like cactus flowers but then strung them all together to make a large ball. I wish I'd taken a photo of it!

I took them home and admired their new bedroom windows. They're going to their other granny's tomorrow. We've still got Cooper who is currently fast asleep on the floor with just his head in his bed!

Good morning Nanto and all who follow. What an lovely, eye-catching graphic to greet the new day.

It is sunny here and pleasantly warm. I really feel like a day off today, but OH is out this morning, so I could get on with the ironing before we both run out of clothes to wear!!

Plant - I do hope you're feeling better this morning. Be kind to yourself and give yourself time to recover. Sending hugs. xxx

Gem - I'm pleased GS1 enjoyed the martial arts class after all.

WeeGranny - I've been thinking about you. I hope you're ok and OH's treatment is going well. Is your DS still with you?

All peaceful here at present, OH has gone out to golf and I’m looking forward to a day of gardening. There certainly is plenty to do, although my book is beckoning too….

Just checking, in feeling very washed out. Spent most of yesterday in bed looking at the lovely sun shine outside. I am going to cancel my Warfarin appt. this morning as my warfarin reading will be false as I brought up all my tablets yesterday. I don’t think it was a virus as I haven’t had a temperature. Must have been something I ate.

                                hallo everyone,
I have had a busy day! I went to the shops in next village and got a message that my new sleeves were ready to be picked up, the lady came from Jobst to measure me especially as they are new, material etc, well, far too tight and too long, even the lady that treats me found them on tight on her arms so she can only guess how they are on mine. A shame but they will be in touch with the lady. then GS1 phoned and I went there for coffee, he is in Amsterdam now with Russian business colleagues . Then as I came home the friends arrived back in the street with the caravan so I helped them and have been there for coffee.

Plant, are you feeling better now?

Oma, is B coping with the glass? How is your MIL? I hope M&C can get away on holiday.

Daisy, you will have had a busy time with the girls and now with the extra dog, I missed the posting when you were saying about we are expected to have everything done via the mobile phones, even the elderly have to get use to them. I was doing the coffee morning and they have to pay by bank card, the eldest was 90 years old and has to get used to it.
