It was foggy again this morning, bur clearing now.

Oma, did you buy anything at the food fair.

Gem, it cooled over here yesterday afternoon.
But, the evening sunshine was quite warm.

Just cooked a load of rhubarb, for pies and crumbles.
Hubby brought it from DS1's garden.
He brought too much, still some left uncooked.
We have asked quite a few if they want some rhubarb.
Nobody wants it. It seems everyone prefers to buy pies and crumbles ready made.
To be honest,i don't blame them.

Good morning all, Nanto, I would have the rhubarb!!! I love it in my yogurt for breakfast.

I had a hectic day yesterday, DS1 and GD1 came to take the dishwasher etc to the tip for me, then I went to pick the cupboard up as it had been delivered on Friday when I wasn't at home, I hadn't had a mail saying it was on the way so never thought about it. I picked it up and unpacked it, I thought I could put it together myself, but, I can't, I can't kneel and I did yesterday and regretted it for the rest of the day. A neighbour opposite is coming this morning to see what he can do to help. I ordered a new kitchen tap, there was a special offer on and if I gave them a good review I got a Grohe table BBQ, so I wrote something nice and the BBQ arrived yesterday, very neat, DS1 is having it.

I went for my second jab, I tripped over nothing on my way in, landed in the arms of a dark, handsome young man! He said ' you have certainly fallen for me", I told him if I could take 50+ years off my age he could have been right.

It is all very all organised and I was soon the way home.

Daisy, that sounds like a hectic day, I bet you both slept well.

It would be warm in a garden centre Gem with masks on, it is usually warm without masks. I hope you get to take your mum to the coast.

Glamm, I hope you enjoyed your lunch.

Oma, the heat gets me as well, I don't mind it when I am out and about but I can't sit in it for long.

If all goes to plan we will almost be out of lockdown on June 5th. So, I hope that means our aqua can start again.

My foot is feeling so much easier, now my knee needs to get back to normal and I won't bother kneeling again.

        Good morning all.

Nan2 that's what happened here yesterday, after cooling down for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon it was a sunny warm evening. We left our friend's at midnight, and the car was still showing 18 degrees.
We grow rhubarb in our garden and we love it!
Oma, yes we did get some bedding plants yesterday, and more compost.
Lizzie! Do we need to buy wedding hats??
        Our kneeling days are over!

Hopefully two people are coming this morning to take away the baby cars seats we are giving away. A newborn one and the next stage one.
We are going over to mum's to take a couple more boxes from the charity shop, and some stuff we can't get rid of to the tip. The Heart Foundation store are coming to see ( and hopefully take) some furniture next week. There are things they wont take like the electric fire surround unit. No one else wants if free either, so it will have to be dumped.

It's misty here, I think it will be hot again.
        Have a good Sunday

Good Sunday morning everyone. It's bright and sunny here - I think summer has arrived at last.

I still haven't caught up with the last couple of days - and today is another busy one. We're having our first family barbecue since the summer of 2019! I need to get my skates on - lots to do. We went to friends for a meal last night which was lovely - just the 4 of us and very relaxed.

Happy Bank Holiday Sunday, everyone. Take care in the heat!!! x

Daisy, I know what you mean. It was lovely for us having an evening with friends, and having our first hugs for over a year. We all said how wonderfully 'normal' it all felt.

Eva wont know what's going on she isn't used to everyone about now is she .

Lizzie falling into the arms of young men shameless hussy
Kneeling isn't a thing you can do at our age and although you may want to do things yourself sometimes we have to accept defeat and seek help
Bet DS is happy with the free BBQ

Plant what time did everyone go home last night ?

Nanto we love anything with Rhubarb , we had a glut given to us last year what we couldn't use in crumble etc for the freezer B made Jam and gave it all away .

At the food fair yesterday we bought Rye bread from the artisan Bakery , scotch eggs and B bought a piece of raspberry &coconut cake for himself and I bought a VEGAN Cheese cake tub for myself
It was Peach and Raspberry , Never had Vegan before and it was amazing so light and not as sweet as regular cheese cake .
We also discovered the shop is only about 10 minutes drive from us , we had never heard of it before ,
They not cheap but very tasty , B doesn't like Cheese cake so I didn't have to share it

We off to Tesco this morning then as its near the coast we will have a walk along the prom ,
Have a good day ladies enjoy whatever your doing xxx

Dull start for us, it is forecasted to be another sunny hot day. My DD and Sil must be tired, they had a non stop day yesterday. Very disappointed, I had an email yesterday to say the holiday to Chester was cancelled as too many people had cancelled, not happy to go to Warners yet.

Lovely to hear you are all getting out and about and one lady falling into the arms of a stranger.

Oma, our posts crossed, Food Fair sounds good, I love cheesecake. A walk along the Prom sounds lovely, wish I was there. I am not sure what time DD and Sil’s visitors left. After the morning and afternoon hair ladies and GC and their parents went home and I came back to have my meal, I noticed they had a visit from a couple who just turn up, they are lovely people but I am sure DD and Sil were feeling tired.
Eyes down now to get ready for the Hen Do next Saturday.

Nanto, the cupboard is finished and I am very pleased with it. The tap will be fitted when my other neighbour gets home from their holidays. It is a lovely sunny day here, DS1 just phoned and GD2 was on her way to her friends for a swim.

Oma I know, the poor lad would wonder what had hit him!!!

We do have to accept defeat, annoying as it is. The man was a joiner for our housing cooperation so I have known him for years. I was really pleased that he came to do it. IMG_9337.jpg IMG_9336.jpg

Lizzie that looks more practical for you , You can never have too much cupboard space , it fits in well and still a little storage down the side to fit something like trays or small folding steps , its ideal .

We went to Tesco then to the beach it was flipping freezing and the sea mist was so thick you couldn't see anything , there was a 6 degree temp difference from our house just over 7 mile away to the sea
It was reading 16.5 at home got down there and it was only 10 we didn't stay got home and it was 17 degrees
My Niece text she went down at lunch time with my nephew she said it was still thick mist , they bought chips and sat in the car eating them it was so cold

B busy making Corned beef pie so im pottering on here , have the patio doors open and been in the garden its lovely

Plant what a shame about the holiday will you book somewhere else maybe with your family ?

Oma, I have had it in my head for a long time, even found what I wanted and it is very handy. I have been to the shop in the next village to buy a tray to stand all the washing liquids etc in. 25 degrees here at the moment. My BIL is up in Alnwick so they will get it colder on the coast.

                                Morning all.
Hasn't the nicer weather been a much welcome boost for our overall wellbeing. Its been a long hard winter, heaven knows we deserve some nice weather, hope it lingers a long time.

Saturday was such a special day for us, we got to see , and hug, DD GS's and SIL after well over 12 months of lockdown restrictions.
Our two GS's came running out of the car towards us giving us much needed hugs, cuddles and kisses. By the time I got to hugging DD I was in tears .
The nice weather ment that we could sit in the garden watching the boys playing. It was wonderful.

We are still finding our way around the streets here so when we went for a walk in a totally different direction yesterday we stumbled across a chip shop and a hairdresser all within 3 mins walk away from where we live. The hairdresser will come i handy for me , the chip shop not so much as OH has to watch what he eats but for the odd treat we will use it 😉

Oma the pies look very tasty.

Plant thats a shame about your trip to Chester, perhaps you could go another time.?

We had some holiday brochures from GB tours arrive in the post on Saturday. Not much for this year but as we are going away twice this year with family we aren't looking to book anything but I did notice that they are already taking bookings for next year .

Have a good Bank Holiday Monday ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
