My sister is OK thanks everyone.
She had to be moved during lockdown, for reasons I agreed with. It wasn't to be permanent though, and now it is, so the Best Interest meeting was to discuss that. However then it was decided she needed a second advocate as well as next of kin as it is an important step, so that meeting was postponed - which I hadn't been told. Today was just about was it the best decision to move her back in April (what can they do now if it wasn't'??!) So a bit of a waste of time meeting, but at least I hadn't had to go anywhere. Also it was in the end a phone meeting. I was sitting up in my therapy room with Skype on the laptop, only for them to ring downstairs. It was Skype I think, but on on the phone. Confused of York

Plant I wished I lived near I absolutely love Victoria plumbs , just think of all the jams desserts etc that could be made for the freezer

Daisy they keeping his name alive so nice of them and several including my 2 nephews have had the logo with his name on tattooed on their arms

Gem - how frustrating that the meeting was a bit of a waste of time, and frustrating that they phoned instead of Skyping on your laptop as arranged.

Dad enjoyed it this morning,when hubby took him to the supermarket.
Hubby enjoyed it as well,said it was nice to be able to have a decent conversation with dad.

Good morning ladies - just!

This morning I have been to the library to collect an audio book for my mum. My library is closed until September so I went to another branch. All very organised, you book a time to go, wear mask. No doors to open, they have already checked it out for you and put in in a paper carrier with the name and time on to hand to you. Very efficient.
This afternoon I have a dental appointment in town.
Let's hope we all stay connected here now!

As I have said before I wear support tights, have worn them for more than 25 years, no bother at all, I got new ones in December and they have never been right, fall down when I walk and painful at the knee's, I mentioned this before the lockdown and only after the lockdown did they see what they were really like, the therapist put them in the drier a few times to see if that would help, it didn't, a few weeks ago they sent one pair back to Medi, they got a reply that there was no guarantee, I got a mail from the lady yesterday saying that as I cut the labels out there was no guarantee, I have never cut the labels out, this really annoyed me, I realised this morning what had happened, when the therapist put them in the drier the nylon thread holding the labels on had melted, then the labels would fall off. This is me ranting!!!!

In the mail I was asked to go this afternoon as someone from Medi would be there at 2pm and probably measure etc, as I arrived 2 men were waiting to go in the practise, they were from Medi, when we got in I hadn't to explain much as they had seen how they were on my legs. I had to mention the bl#### label and he said that happens when they are put in a drier. That made me feel better. The 2 girls were there and between them they measured me and the men saw exactly were the problem was, so, I am now getting one made to measure. Officially we get 2 pair a year and I have had those but as these are so bad they will get round that somehow, I told them if I had one pair that fitted right I could cope so they are going to do their best.

I do hope they are a good fit then I can get back to walking. Not very elegant walking when the tights are hanging like a sack round my knee's.

Phew, what a carry on! I hope you soon get a well fitting pair Lizzie. As you say, its bad enough you have to wear them all year round without these problems.

As you know we couldn't get on here early this morning.
Just as i had the chance to try,DS2 and his partner came.
They stayed a while and left after we all had dined.
Hubby and me have been doing the garden this afternoon and i've just been in the shower.
So, only just got the time to come here.

Lizzie, hope the tights are a better fit when you get them.

Thankyou, yes Daisy, very uncomfortable, no walking in them at all so I hope this solves the problem. I do have old ones I wear when I want to walk (or go picking brambles)!

Hope the dental appt. goes well Gemini and not too expensive.

I keep offloading plums on people, the Tzar plum is looking less daunting and the Vics are beginning to ripen, then I will have the job of removing the broken branches, you have to be careful with plums because they can get silver leaf.
