Mimi, enjoy your meet up with GS tomorrow. I miss having a hug from my GC.

No plans here, didn't get that plant in the ground yesterday, it is a hardy geranium. It is the third one, I am planting them to avoid having to put annuals in the border. Had a lovely evening with the family on their terrace, they get the evening sun and it was still very hot and although I sat in what shade I could find, I managed to get a bit burnt. Another hot one today I think.

Going to look at the photos now Gemini. Will pop back later.

Daisy, I don't like to complain but are you sure you didn't hit the Rain button instead???

Oh Mimi it will be lovely to see your GS tomorrow
You must miss it Plant. I have hugs with GS2 all the time, I can't look after him every week and fend him off! I missed it so much for all the weeks I couldn't see him. I haven't hugged the other 2. GD isnt that huggy but I know GS1 misses it.
Oma I love those sort of worktops, a friend has them and they are gorgeous. I know they wouldn't fit our lifestyle though so wouldn't opt for them!

OH ironing, I'm lazily doing nor much. The weather forecast was wrong, it's still horrible out there!

Had a lovely day with both sets of grandsons today. Bbq, swimming, climbing - just what little boys need. Now DIL can open the salons we have started looking after her boys. Home schooling included! Thank goodness for professor Google, had to look up a few things! More lessons on Monday!

            That sounds lovely Avo
What would we do without Google?
My 4 year old grandson, when he asks me to draw him an animal offers to get my phone! He knows I will Google how to draw it!

Good morning, the sun is shining. Had rain on and off yesterday.

One plan for today,is to cut the grass. It doen't look too bad,but might as well do it while its fine.
Anyway, its easier to cut if it isn't too long.
Salad with chicken dippers for dinner.

                    Good morning, Nan2, Lizzie, ladies.
Lizzie the baskets are lovely. Do many people have beautiful balconies like yours?
A lovely fine morning with sun here, after a miserable day yesterday.

This morning we are going over to friends to pick up some garden plants which J was dividing. If we didn't take them they were going in the recycling bin. We are always happy to have more flowers We will have a coffee and chat while we are there.
This afternoon we have a Tesco delivery. The first slot I have managed to get since lockdown.

                    Have a good Sunday everyone

                      Good Sunday morning, ladies.

I have to say, I'm just a little bit miffed! I sent you sunshine yesterday, and what have we got today? Your flippin' rain!

Lizzie - those hanging baskets are glorious. I hope they last well into the Autumn for you. Is your balcony very sheltered?

Nanto - make the most of the sunshine, I'd like it back tomorrow, please.

Gem - it's always good to have new plants, especially when they come with a nice cup of coffee and a chat with friends. Wow - a Tesco delivery. Things are looking up.

Given it's raining today I shall have to shelve my plans for a hard day's work on the garden!!! But I might just push the sucky up thing round and even do a bit of the dreaded ironing. For once, there isn't much, so I might as well get it done.

                      Have a good Sunday, everyone.

                        Morning ladies ,

Lizzie how lovely to look out onto such beautiful baskets

Nanto I do enjoy a salad but B has to have chips with his

Gem what kind of plants ? Shame if they went into recycle when you could take them .

Plant how is GGSs jumper coming along have you got the hang of the pattern yet ?

Well after B finished sanding the wooden work tops despite dust sheets over everything it still managed to leave a thick layer everywhere
So I set too and cleaned every nook and cranny , climbed onto tops and washed cupboard tops then had to take the clock pieces down it had a very thick layer on luckily the numbers are stuck on with Velcro pads , even the walls were thick with dust ,
The dust sheets were a waste of time .
I went to wipe the roller blind down on the patio door and it crashed down so cleaned it while it was on the floor and B put it back up

This morning I've washed all paintworks skirtings tops of doors and cleaned glass tables in sitting room and did hall and stairs

Just utility to do but as all my kitchen stuff in there it will have to wait .

I'm doing nothing else I'm going to enjoy the bright day with my book in the garden

Oma - our posts crossed. My goodness - that was a job and a half! But I'm sure your wooden work tops look better for it. I think our utility ones can stay as they are if it makes that much mess to sand them, especially as there's no door between the kitchen and utility! I think you've both earned a day off, today.

Still a few coats of oil to go on Daisy that's why although I love them I hate them at the same time and the Danish oil gives me a headache

Daisy, yes my balcony is quite sheltered, hot at times! Gem, quite a few in all the blocks have plants etc. My neighbours have a few, but, somehow or other don't water them and they all just die! Never say no to more plants Gem!

Oma, the tops will be very nice but I know what you mean about the dust, the wall I papered wasn't very good, so, I filled all the holes etc in then the next day sanded it, I put dust sheets over furniture etc but it still got covered in dust. Your house must be very clean Oma after all you have done!

I have been for a bike ride, I enjoyed it, along the river near Rotterdam, a lot of cyclists but not too busy, I had my first (restaurant) cup of coffee in 4 months!!

Oma, what a marathon all that cleaning, I hope you are resting today. I have managed to sort out the pattern for GGS's jumper thank you.
