It's got chiller as the day has gone one. We have spent most of the day outside however.

I’ve never seen anything like that before Oma it’s lovely.
Finn has had his op.after some delay.Originally he was first on the morning list but then they were told that as of yesterday children have to have a Covid test before surgery. Therefore it was lunchtime before the results came back. Even the nurses didn’t know of this new ruling.Eventually he went down to theatre DD had been told three quarters of an hour to an hour in theatre but when she’d had no news after two hours she was getting a bit worried. It was a lot more complicated than anticipated with plates and screws. He is staying in overnight as he is still asleep and not eaten anything yet. Also the pharmacy is closed so they can’t get the necessary painkillers. DD is staying with him, sleeping as much as she can on a bed on the floor! She’s so looking forward to it—notAt least the op is over but I’ll feel happier when Finn is home.
It sounds as if you’ve all had a good day. Hope you have a good evening.

Clover, I do hope that Finn (love the name) is home and painfree soon.
Oma, love the bouquet!
Trying to catch up on reading the post's, I have the most awful back pain, between the shoulder blades, I phoned the doctor and have got strong pain killers, it is easing but will phone my fysio later as I want to know what is causing it. I did sleep better, the night before I was awake most of the night and that is not me at all!
On Monday I decided to go to the library in Delft, on the way got into a cycle path argument with a man on a scooter , he was supposed to stop but didn't! Then cycling through Delft my keys fell out of my pocket, luckily the case was open and I heard them fall, then I came home and whilst eating an apple a tooth broke off my plate! I had it made and fitted when I broke my jaw whilst gliding down the alps on my ski's years ago, it has always helped and no bother at all. I wasn't very pleased with myself, I phoned the dentist and they phoned on Tuesday morning that I could take it to the lab and it would be ready the same day. I did and he repaired it, if it happens again I can just take it to him and don't have to contact the dentist. He has a unit on a new industrial estate at the other side of the village, cycled past often enough but never realised how big it is.
Yesterday young friends came for coffee so it was a nice change.

Good morning dear ladies.
A very wet night, but no rain at the moment.
Nan2, I bet you will be happy to get your hair done at last.
Oh Lizzie, back pain is awful, I hope the physio can help. Great that you can get your tooth repaired so efficiently.
I hope Finn comes home today Clover.
A free day here. OH is leaving for golf soon, to a soggy course no doubt.
I will walk to the village this morning as we need veg and bananas, and I need the exercise! A friend of DD2, her best friend, may call this evening with DD's present (her birthday tomorrow) If she does she is staying for coffee. If she can't come tonight she will drop it off tomorrow, then won't stay, due to work and home schooling. So may we or may not have an evening visitor!
Take care everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

What a day you had Lizzie, hope the physio can help with your back pain.
Clover, will those plates and screws have to stay in F's arm. He will be pleased to get home.
Oma, I have never seen a cup cake bouquet, what a kind daughter you have.
No rain here atm, I hope your walk to the village is a dry one Gemini.
No plans today as usual, might get in the garden. I am without knitting now, I did price some wool to knit a cardigan but it worked out to about £50, I could buy one for that. It isn't cheaper to knit garments so I might look for a pattern that would not be in the shops or knit something for GGC.What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning, everyone. I'm a bit late to the party today. I'd planned to get up early and do some baking before going to DS2's to play with the children in the garden, but things change! I'll post in Technology about part of today!
So one of the changes is the weather's pretty miserable here so we're going to see the GDs tomorrow afternoon. I think we can meet indoor now (I'm not sure!) but if we're outside it means both dogs can have a good run round in their garden and won't be treading muddy paws all over the house, and actually it works better for us.
So I've got all day to do the baking although I probably won't start till after lunch.
Clover - Poor Finn. I bet his mum was so worried when he was in surgery for so long. It's truly awful waiting for your child to come out of theatre! I hope he gets over the operation quickly. Can they put a plaster on straight away or do they have to wait for any swelling to go down?
Oma - those cup cake flowers look good enough to eat! What a lovely surprise - your DD is very thoughtful.
Gem - I hope it stayed dry enough for your walk into the village. Has DD2 got any plans for the birthday tomorrow? I hope S's golf doesn't get rained off.
Plant - I know hand knitting can be more expensive than buying ready-made, but you get such lovely choices of yarn and patterns. Knitting for the new baby is a lovely idea, Gem. Especially for a winter baby.
Lizzie - you don't want too many days like that. I do hope your back feel better soon, and the physio can help. Take care. xx
Nanto - I hope you manage that trip to the post office. How lovely to be having your hair done - I know it's been driving you mad. xx

Daisy, it is now permitted for 2 household to meet indoors, maintaining social distancing, which is now 1 metre, more if possible.
It would be fine for you to go to your GD's home or they yours. If it's more than one household meeting up though it's outside still.
Not sure what DD is doing during the day tomorrow, but the children are coming here. We will take them home for tea so they can have cake with DD. Once little one is in bed we are having a distanced family evening in their garden. It's big so lots room for each group to sit. We are taking our own chairs and drinks, and ordering Pizza. Fingers crossed the rain stays away 😊“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
