Enfys, have no words of advice I'm afraid, hopefully the professionals will be able to help. But sending love to you both. The iron tablets could be having some effect, I know they never agreed with me when I had to take them.

Gem, I had a physio consultation over the phone. A waste of time as far as I was concerned. ow can they see if you're doing the exercises properly or if you understand the instructions. They sent me a list of exercises by e-mail, but eventually I got a face to face appointment and the exercises were changed! Good luck!

Plant....take it easy! Same goes for anyone else or OHs who aren't feeling up to the mark!

Sunshine here at the moment, but rain forecast for this area later on.

Have a good day ladies whatever you're up to and take care x

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Just reading about the ill ones among the loved ones, I hope they are soon feeling better, it seems as we get older the more we hear about these things.

I have finished the table I was painting etc, looks very good, now I need help choosing a wallpaper, I have fancied a red on the wall for a long time, the wallpaper I found last time wasn't what I had in mind, I went on the bike to a wallpaper hall this morning, 1,000's of wallpapers and the first one caught my eye, it is a Van Gogh design, would I like it on a wall??? I think I would but not very good at deciding!!

Lizzie the table is lovely and I like the wallpaper

M and I had a nice morning in the garden. OH showed her the greenhouse and vegetable garden before she went to golf.
We wore jackets as it wasn't too warm, but certainly not cold and it was dry. Lovely to catch up.
I will be back in the garden this afternoon as GS1 is coming!
DD needs some time in her office in town to do some physical filing, so GS will be dropped off with me. It was to be tomorrow, but now it is today for some reason.

Thanks Gem, I have decided I will buy the wallpaper, I have just phoned the shop!! My neighbour came to have a look and loved it, showed it to her hubby and he said " Oh no" ! He didn't put me off though. Warm here now and thunderstorm at the moment.

Lizzie would like to see a pic of the wallpaper when you do it , your right it's very Van Gogh very unusual it looks expensive, table is lovely .

I feel I haven't done much today just seemed to potter on and getting no where .

I started my jigsaw today then DD came with some garden chair cushions I had bought on click and collect in B&Q

Put some stuff in the loft and tidied my towel cupboard but nothing of any significance just one of those useless days

Gem hope the weather stayed fine for you and GS it's been dull but dry here

WG I was saying to B even if the Dr could do face time at least you feel like you seen them , as you say how do you know the excersis you are told to do your doing right

Had a good meeting with the nurse. She was very helpful and is putting some support into place. She will also be in touch weekly now and is arranging for occupational therapist to come and see us. We both feel much better now and I don’t feel so alone. She also explained the role of the hospice which I thought was for end of life care but apparently they do respite care, and assessments too which was very useful to know. Her visit made such a difference.

Very pleased Enfys that the meeting with the nurse went well and you don't feel so alone.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Enfys, everyone I know who has been involved with our local hospice is full of praise for it, and I'm sure others are just the same. As you say, there are lots of reasons for going to one, not only end of life care. I'm so glad today's visit from the nurse made you feel better xx
Oma, it sounds as though you were quite busy!

GS1 did not come. Grandma got it wrong. I thought DD was asking if he could come this afternoon instead of tomorrow, she was asking if the afternoon tomorrow was OK

                    Anyway..... LOL

Lizzie, love the table and the wallpaper.

Enfys, pleased the nurse's visit was a good one. You sound a lot better.

We've just been sat outside with a sandwich and cuppa.
I thought i felt a couple of spots of rain, but hubby didn't feel anything.
Told him i must be more delicate.

Enfys - I'm so glad the Macmillan nurse was able to help. Yes, hospices are so much more than end of life care and offer all kinds of help - even Reflexology at our local one as well as support for the whole family. It must have been very hard when P was feeling so down, but I'm glad you're feeling better now.

Nanto - it's nice when you can sit outside in an evening.

Oma - I have lots of days of pottering and getting nowhere. It's part and parcel of lockdown and I quite like it!

Lizzie - that wallpaper is stunning. Yes, I can see the Van Gogh connection, and I think it's Sunflowers caught in the light of the setting sun just before it becomes a Starry Night. Are you going to use it in your living room? The table looks lovely by the way.

I don't know what to think about these doctor's phone consultations. I think sometimes they could be perfectly ok but other times you really need face-to-face. I should think physio treatment is much harder though.

Plant - I hope you didn't overdo things today and are feeling better now.

The forecast for tomorrow is very mixed for us, and it's quite heavy now, so I don't know if we're due for a thunderstorm.

Enfys, pleased you are getting help.

Yes, the wallpaper is nice, it is from a Van Gogh collection, expensive but beautiful! Then, sleeping on it I have decided not to buy it, it would make the room darker. I have put a lot of thought into my decision and I have just sent a mail to the wallpaper hall explaining my decision.

Looks a bit dull, but most mornings have started like this.

We only had the odd rumble of thunder last night, but some places had it bad.
Seen the storms and rain on the news this morning.

Lizzie, better to have second thoughts about the wallpaper now, rather than when its on the wall.

We have to pop through to Wakefield to pick up the new hedge trimmer from Argos.

                            Salad for dinner,hubby's request.

                                Morning ladies
Enfys so pleased P is brighter and your feeling more upbeat after nurses visit . Hospices are not like they were , our local one does all kinds of complimentary treatments and you can stay for a night or a week depending on what you need it for , they are not end of life places like they used to be . She sounds like she has helped a lot x

Gem well you have today to look forward too what did yo do yesterday instead?

Nanto I must admit I'm with your hubby I love a salad ,B thinks it's rabbit food , if he has a salad he has to have chips with it

Plant how is your tummy today ?

Need to finish online Asda order today and Iceland , I have a bit ironing then I will do some more Jigsaw later

Have a good day ladies xxx
