Good morning dear ladies. A wet one here.

    Nan2, beautiful graphic.
Clover, your mental and emotional health has to be considered along with the risk of contracting the virus. Keeping safe is of course paramount, but being all alone, all the time in your situation is horrible. Seeing another person at distance outside is considered minimal risk. You are no risk to anyone, as you haven't been anywhere. If there was the chance of a safe outside social distance meet up with friend I would take it in your situation . I agree with Daisy, having a new project is a good idea.

I hope the weather is fine Daisy so you can spend some time in your neighbour's garden.

The plans today are go to the vet at 1.30 to collect Henry's medication (he is fine still btw, since he recovered from his 3 or 4 off it days)
Two friends are coming over early evening for a walk I doubt we will walk, the forecast is not good. Then fish and chips in our garden. We will put up the two patio umbrellas, and OH has devised a way to cover them with a plastic sheet and attach that to the kitchen and conservatory guttering to create a largish covered area in which to socially distance. I think the firepit will be lit too.
No other plans, but we are lagging behind in Scrabble playing , and maybe some housework ought to be done too

Have a good day everyone, and Happy Friday.

Appt at hospital this morning for my warfarin test. Must remind DD as she might think I have gone on a jolly. Sil did a marvelous job sorting out my paper and card and jumping on it so it fitted into our two paper box's and broke up the cardboard, so it is all up the track waiting for the pick-up today so I need not worry about visiting the tip. He is so fit considering he has just turned 60, he does press-ups etc every day and walks a lot. I must get a shift on, will pop back later.

        Good morning ladies .

Plant what a good son saves you that trip ,hope clinic goes well xx

Clover in your situation it must be lonely I think a few chances may be taken just to get human contact and chat to someone , it's far to long to be on your own ,
If I lived near I would come and chat through the window so we both safe

Gem I can just imagine you all in your little bubble eating fish & chips have a lovely visit XXX

Exciting day Daisy now don't go getting giddy with all that stimulation

Nanto beautiful graphic as usual hope your finding in law's are doing ok in lockdown although they don't go far anyway do they xx

Well we did intend driving to the beach this morning no matter what the weather but it's raining so hard we would be soaked just getting in the car and it's like night time.

So instead i washed the floors hoovered and dusted then went on Amazon and ordered a waterproof covering for my garden set , just a cheap one but it has drawstrings to bottom to secure it meaning if it gets windy it won't fly away .

I made one for the dogs bowls out of a IKEA bag last year and it's been very good but wouldn't want to tackle something as large as a garden seat cover out of tarpaulin

My Lilly's are blooming well the yellow and orange ones the red are a little later but can't get into the garden to enjoy them they do look lovely , can't have them in the house because of the smell but I do love to see them

Just text DD to see when she goes to Sainsbury's if she can get me some eggs
        Have a good day ladies

Oma, that nights sleep would have done you good. Maybe you can have the beach trip tomorrow?
I hope the blood taking goes smoothly Plant. What a good SIL.

We have now moved the get together with friends to tomorrow night, when the forecast is better, their suggestion. No problem for us, all we had tomorrow was collecting the shopping in the morning (must update the order !)

I hope you might be able to get your car ride tomorrow. what a lovely nights sleep you had.

We have sunshine here atm and it is very mild. Well I feel well and truly sanitised. Sil gave me a packet of face masks so I agreed to wear one for my hospital visit. They were quite busy, I was told to wash my hands, no sanitiser before my blood check. Then I was greeted by a nurse who took my temperature, passed that test. I then had my warfarin check and on the way out I was advised to use sanitiser. They had a separate entrance for people having covid checks, they were sitting in their cars waiting.

I hope you will be able to have your friends visit tomorrow Gemini.

I am joining you in your excitement Daisy, our paper and card has been collected but not the garden rubbish yet. I had to stop and move the bins when I came back there were 3 garden bins 3 paper boxes blocking the drive. There is another bungalow at the end of the track, so a lot of bins.

Gem - I've been wondering how Henry is - good to hear he's much better. xx Definitely a good idea to move your get together till tomorrow - it can't be worse than today with the weather.

Oma - pleased to hear you've caught up on sleep, but don't squander all that energy on housework! Save some for tomorrow when it might be nice enough to go to the seaside.

Plant - I hope the clinic trip is ok. Isn't it great to be able to do something simple like getting rid of rubbish you'd normally take to the tip. Well done SIL.

It's raining here as well. I managed to get my 3 melon plants planted into the greenhouse bed before the heavens opened. The neighbour and I are saving ourselves till the rain stops - no point in getting wet, but it looks set in for the day!

Just off to get some lunch - it's so miserable it should be hot, comforting soup.

I picked up Henry's medication. There was an emergency going on. There was 3 people and a little spaniel type dog, newly shaven, in the car park. One lady was speaking to the vets through the open operating theatre door. Apparently there are two dogs, the other had an accident at the groomers and they were having to sign the consent for for it to be put under, for what reason I do not know. Poor doggie, I'm sure it would prefer to keep its fur than be injured Maybe it had got matted though and needed to be done? We only took our long haired cat to the vets to be de-matted, we didn't trust groomers.

Aww poor pup maybe he/ she fell off grooming table trying to get away some dogs hate being groomed and wriggle out of the harness .

Well the rain has never stopped and it's so dark

On a brighter note my Premier Inn pillows arrived , not supposed to come till 29th so that was a surprise

We seriously thinking of buying one of their mattresses too

Daisy at least plants are in now you must take a picture as they are growing for us to see

Plant sounds very efficient at the surgery or was it Hospital?

                    Allo!
Firstly, thank you for the lovely Ecard ladies. It cheered up this grotty day no end!
Raining here. Enough now, it can stop.
I seem to be wasting this day. I have compiled my quiz questions for the family tomorrow, put a bread mix in the machine and not much else!
                    Q. Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia is a fear of which number?

Clover - that's stunning! Is it near The Gower? It looks as though you had a drier day than we have.

Plant - sorry, we posted together earlier, so I've only just seen how efficiently your warfarin clinic is organised. Glad it all went ok.

Grauntie - do you have to actually speak the word Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia?

Oma - I am only hoping for survival of the melon plants - not miracles, but yes, I'll take photos. Oooh, Premier pillows, they should help you sleep. Did you get your eggs ok?

Gem - Poor doggie. I wonder what happened. I bet the groomer feels terrible about it though. I agree, some are better than others. When we needed to find a groomer when Rusty and Clyde were puppies I went round to see them first. As I approached one place I could see the lady grooming a Bichon, and she was talking to it and gave it a little kiss and was snipping fur, then giving it a gentle stroke. Guess where R & C went! I'm sure you're better taking a very matted cat or dog to the vets though.

Must go and get tea ready so we can eat before the Sainsbury's order arrives.

Misty again this morning and there's no wind to help clear it.

All being well going to the supermarket this afternoon. Looking forward to it.
Sad isn't it when you get excited about grocery shopping.
