DD feels a lot better after most of the day in bed. She walked to the allotment and picked lots of lovely produce. She said the fresh air did her good. So, I don't think it is the dreaded virus.

Hope you're DD soon recovers Gem! It's probably just an after effect of working from home, home schooling and selling/buying a house. Still worrying though.
OH had his checkup at hospital today. Left in plenty of time for appointment only to find two of the roads we used were closed due to road works. Twenty minutes late by the time we got there. I'd phoned and told them we were running late so they didn't think we weren't coming. Then the consultant was an hour late in seeing him. Ten minutes with him and we then had to wait for his medication. I was glad to get out of there. thankfully it was quiet. Met one of his nurses as I was going in ( I don't go in when he's just having his bloods done)and we had a chat about his other problem. She too thinks it's ridiculous having a video appointment especially as they've never seen him in the flesh so to speak. The nurses in the Oncology department are so nice and helpful.
Oma glad you're feeling better......hope you're managing to keep away from the housework!
Just having a G&T in the cool breeze that's started. Think tonight could be a hot one.
Take care everyone xxBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Good morning Nan2. Good morning ladies.
WG, you could be right about DD. The whole homeschooling and them both working from home, with house hunting thrown in, is a strain. Add to those hayfever and perimenopause symptoms!
This morning I am going to pick up GS1 to take him out. Not sure where we will go, but I am packing a picnic. It will give them a few hours for both DD and SIL to work , presuming that DD feels better. This afternoon she is going to view another house and SIL will look after GS.
Have a good day everyone. Catch you later.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good mroning, Nanto, Gem and all those who call in later.
We've had rain overnight, but it's still mild. The garden looks better for it.
WeeGranny - road closures seem to be everywhere just lately! How frustrating though when you'd left plenty of time and were still racing against the clock. That nurse sounds lovely and can see the problems with a video consultation for your OH. Oh dear, it's so frustrating and worrying. I hope the G&T took the cares of the day away and you slept well.
Gem - your poor DD has got a lot on her plate. Any one of those things could drag you down, so I hope getting a bit of a rest has been enough to put her back on her feet. Good luck to her with the house hunting. I'm sure you will enjoy your day with GS1 - I hope the sun shines for you. xx
Oma - I hope you are still on the mend, but don't go overdoing things. We've got our beady eyes on you!
Plant - I'm sure the WI ladies will love some plums. I hate to see fresh produce go to waste too! It was always a balancing act in my parents' shop to meet demand for fresh fruit and veggies without over-ordering and getting left with things you couldn't sell. I hope you find what you want at Hobbycraft.
Grauntie - you must have the patience of a saint to unknit all your hard work and then re-knit it! I'm sorry to hear about Choc, but I was worried he might meet his Rat-Maker while his family were away. How is your iPad behaving now?
As it's raining, I'm going to get some chores done around the house this morning, plus I need to do the Sainsbury's order today. I don't know if I'll be able to cope with the excitement!!
Take care, ladies, and have a good day.

Oma, take it easy, one day at a time!!! Already warm here, I have done my shopping and I want to go down to the shed to get a few things sorted out, not too hot down there. I have a young neighbour and he has ordered the council to pick some tip things up next week, cheeky me asked if I could add a few odds and ends and he said I could.

Oma - I hope B's appointment goes ok. What on earth are you Karchering the bathroom tiles for! The ironing can wait as well. You're supposed to be RESTING, young lady!!
Lizzie - it's good to be able to have a bit of a clear out, but don't you overdo things either if it's hot.

Very cloudy and muggy here !
Mygood night's sleep didn't happen! Still wide awake at three o'clock! I don't know how Oma gets by with her sleepless nights! Especially having the energy to do housework things.......that she shouldn't be doing!!!?
Hope B's appointment goes well, Oma.
Hope too that DD1 feels better and the househunting is successful Gem. Enjoy your day with GS1.
Have a good day ladies whatever you're up to. I need to do some housework but I'll just have another cup of tea first...and a look at the paper! xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

We had rain overnight, very dull now. I am sure the garden feels refreshed. I made plum jam yesterday and you have never seen such a mess, it took me ages to get rid of the sticky mess and the floor is still sticky. Problem is I didn't have many jam jars so most of it is in large Kilner jars. A friend of my DD's came and took a basket full away and a jar of jam, so the purple plum tree is almost finished. The Victoria plums are beginning to ripen, I shall freeze some of those.
I set off to go to M&S and Hobbycraft yesterday and a warning sign came up on the screen in my car so I went straight to the Mini garage and it is now booked in for a service next week, do you think they will take plums as payment.
I hope your DD1 is feeling better today Gemini. Enjoy your time with your GS.
WG, what a stressful trip for you and OH. I hope you can get some satisfaction, a video appt. for his other problem doesn't sound good enough.
Oma, Hope B's bloods were okay. I think B will have to tie your legs together to stop you tiring yourself.
