Good morning everyone. Nanto - thanks for that welcome cup of tea - just the job for first thing in the morning.

It's warm and sunny here, too.

Enfys - you've done really well with your seeds - I bet that first lettuce tasted wonderful. I'm having a dreadful year with mine - still at the stage of sowing yet more seeds which don't seem to know what they're expected to do. I'm using old compost so that doesn't help, but I'm not risking going to the garden centre yet awhile.

It's lovely to hear the birds - we've got young robins around for the first time in our garden. Something visited our garden last night which had Eva running round like mad, trying to chase it off!

It's a big day for Eva today - her first play date with Cooper since lockdown started. Both dogs need some doggy company so DIL is going to drop Cooper off at our house and then pick him up later. I'd better go and Cooper-proof the house!!

Plant we have had a couple of Robins too and lots of little Finches and Tits this year . Once the bully Magpies come though they disappear

Lovely warm sunny day we will have lunch in the garden I think .

Guess where my Parcel is ! It's in Washington going out for delivery today

Daisy they will both love that . Storm has Piper over the road that just comes over herself , her owner opens the door when the square is quiet and no cars . She runs over and looks through DD window and barks till DD opens the door for her .

Today is a very exciting day in our house.
GD and GS2 are coming DD and SIL really need some child free hours to work, their business is beginning to suffer. I have always been happy to have the children as long as they and us and staying at home. We are apart from essentials, and the children haven't been anywhere.
They will come through the side gate to avoid attention. GS wasn't told until last night and was beyond excited. So, for the first time in a long time I was dressed and showered by 9am!

Well both parcels turned up so had to give post man one back what a carry on

Niece just phoned to say she collected Brothers ashes this morning and she's sitting in garden having a coffee chatting to him .
She is going to my Uncles funeral this afternoon to represent the family . Strangely enough it's the same time as my Brother's funeral last week

All so sad but he's home that's all that matters to us back where he belongs xx

I have been busy shortening a pair of work trousers for GD1, I am waiting for her to try them on before I cut the excess piece off. Very warm here already, I don't think I will be sitting in the sun room today or gardening, much too hot. I might drive up to the pond, it will be cooler up there.

Afternoon all, by heck it's hot out there today.

Just taken delivery of our face masks and hand sanitiser.

Enfys we have been able to eat home grown salad leaves for over a week now, so much nicer than shop brought. I have them growing in an old vegetable steamer basket , its perfect, all the little holes make perfect drainage.

I don't have a lot of energy to do much this afternoon but I refuse to feel guilty about it as we both did a lot outside this morning and I cooked lunch and tidied up so I think 40 winks on the sofa is called for. Oh I forgot, I also went for a walk around the block, no wonder I am tired!

Hallo all, I haven't been using the site for a couple of days, I have been helping DIL harvest the meadow! Well, that is what it felt like, in the heat as well, we were busy 2 days until after lunch then I went for a bike ride in the area, ended up near where the bulb fields are yesterday. Her sister was there to help yesterday so there were the 3 of us.

DS2 was taking walls down on the first floor, DIL's eldest daughter was helping on Monday and yesterday both of them were there to help, they did a lot between them as well.

Today I have a headache, very warm and no wind. It is Ascension day here tomorrow, so a bank holiday. Not that we will notice. We had a corona update yesterday evening, schools can go back full time on June 8th, restaurants open for so many customers, cinema's, museums etc. People in care homes can have one visitor, it has to be the same person each visit. All this with the "so long as there are no more new cases" !!!

Gosh, everyone's been busy!

Gem - how lovely - you must have been thinking this day would never arrive! It's difficult for parents who work together like your DD and SIL and my DS and DIL. At least mine have got the shop closed, but they are having to make a lot of adaptations for opening, and unlike bigger businesses they have to do it all themselves, and their family 'handyman' (my OH) can't really help.

Oma - how lovely that Piper comes and calls for Storm to play. When I was a child my dog had a best buddy, and he used to come and call for her - just like children going out to play! I'm sure those two parcels really wanted to stay together!

How poignant about the timing of your uncle's funeral. Has the family decided what to do with J's ashes? I think it's such a difficult decision. My cousin's ashes are still with the undertaker because I can't decide what to do with them.

Lizzie - you and your family have been working hard. Take it easy in the heat. Perhaps tomorrow, the Bank holiday, should be a relax with feet up day for you. xx

Mimi - I'm trying to learn to go with the flow - on days when I can't be bothered/don't feel like doing much etc I keep telling myself to have a day off. I don't always listen to myself, but I am trying! (OH says I'm very trying!! )

Nanto - well done to your OH. The tap looks nice. I love those lever style taps, they're so easy to turn on and off.

Eva and Cooper were so excited to see each other. Eva was barking with excitement. Cooper didn't quite know whether to give me and OH a good licking or go in the garden with Eva - Eva won, of course!!!

Daisy they thinking of buying a very large pot for the garden and put him in that and a plant in so he's always there but they have to get together and decide first . It's something they all have to agree with . For now he will be put in her wardrobe .
Lizzie that's some work to do you need to rest in between days .
