God morning everyone. The sun's shining, here, although there was so much rain last night everywhere is soaked through, for a change. Goodness knows when I'll be able to get some serious gardening done!

Plant - black jeans are very smart - I think with jeans it's a matter of finding the right cut. What a nice idea to have a get together to put the blankets together. I'm sure they will look great.

Gem - I hope you or OH can get through to the insurance company today. Isn't it lovely when we really enjoy the company of our grand children! I hope you get your prescription sun glasses ok.

Nanto - we've got leftovers from yesterday for dinner as well! Lovely, I'll only have to cook a few green veggies.

Oma - yes, I did get a lie-in yesterday. On Monday night DS2 said I looked tired (and I was tired) so he tried to persuade me not to have Coops and the girls yesterday but I said I'd be ok so we compromised on me picking Cooper up from the shop later. Enjoy your spur of the moment night in Harrogate. Even one night away does you the world of good. I hope you've got a room with a lovely big bath.

I think you're right about Corona virus - all we can do is be sensible and careful, but a lot of older people are worrying about it.

It's a clear day for me today, but at this rate it will be lunch-time before I'm dressed and ready for action anyway.

The insurance company phoned back. OH left a message yesterday. Basically, we don't need that FCO advice cover. If FCO advise against all travel to certain countries flight will be cancelled, and like we did with the Thomas Cook closure we would get a refund via credit card. So, there you go.
OH had a deep clean at the dentist as her gum disease was flaring a bit.
          Have an easy day Daisy

            Have a good time Oma.

Just been to Farmfoods for some Aunt Bessie stuffing balls.
Everyone we passed in the shop had at least 4 packs of 12 rolls in their trolley.

Just reading a few things, I have been on my (push) bike to Delft, puncture on the back tyre of the other one so going to get it repaired this afternoon, I was very annoyed when I saw it!!!! How can one get annoyed over a piece of rubber!!!

It was lovely cycling home, sun shining, flowers coming out and back wind!

I was talking to friends about the virus, their son and family in Norway are in home quarantine, went ski-ing with village friends and on returning home one of the friends was positive so the rest of the group are home.

I hope your holiday goes through Gem after all your planning and looking forward to it.

You just wear the black jeans Plant, when you get the right length, I do volontary work with people older that you and they have smart jeans on.

Nana, have you found your specs?

I will go and put the carrier on the car to go with my bike, yet again!

Gem - that's good news about your travel insurance. Would it also include the rent of your villa and other expenses, like Disney park tickets? Poor OH. I hope her gums aren't too sore. My OH has been having treatment for his gums, too, and his mouth's been sore for a while afterwards.

Nanto - the herd mentality reigns!

Lizzie - how lovely cycling in the sunshine, looking at the flowers and enjoying the fresh air.

I hope Nana's found her specs, too - it's very frustrating when essentials go missing.

Hello busy bees. I'm throwing out stuff from the drawers as I go. In the living room there's a unit with 2 drawers.... no specs. TV unit with 1 drawer ... no specs. Side unit with one drawer ... no specs. Onto dining room. Sideboard with 3 drawers ... no specs. So tomorrow I'll be sorting through the remainder of the sideboard ~ 3 cupboards. Then the next item are the table drawers, 6 of them!

If there's no luck I'll have to start upstairs. Now that will be a nightmare task. If Mum was still alive she'd be praying to St Anthony (?) so I find them. Funnily enough it always did the trick.🤣

Plant, hope the blanket's looking good. What/who'se it for, by the way? I hope you're ok after your tumble. Oma, hope you & B enjoy your night away. Daisy do take care.

Nana - those specs must be somewhere. Could they be in say a handbag you don't use very often, or in the car, or even at the back of a kitchen drawer?

Lizzie - did you get your puncture repaired ok?

Both OH and I had a free day today, so we decided we'd carry on sorting out the loft, after a quick sandwich for lunch. Then the phone rang, and a couple of hours later OH was still busy with that call. So I went out and did a bit of gardening. It was still very wet, but I started on the back of the main border which is a bit sheltered by trees. After about an hour I'd got a bag full of brambles, docks and a few dandelions. Not exciting, but quite satisfying. I think brambles are my least favourite thing to find in the garden!

We have had a lovely day today, loads of lovely sunshine, the Spring flowers are lovely. I bought a new telephone in JL, my old one keeps loosing its charge in spite of some new batteries. I also looked and spoke to a young man about a new television as my television has something that looks like freckles or dust on the screen, nobody knows why it is there, something to do with pixels perhaps.

Daisy, that was nice of your son to want to take a bit of the strain away.

Oma, I hope you enjoy the sea air, nice to have a break, even for one night.

How did those shoppers manage to get all those toilet rolls Nanto, they should be rationed. I heard on the radio today that someone had taken all the toilet rolls out of a care home toilets. Must be staff surely.

Daisy, yes, got a new tyre fitted to be safe! A neighbour helped with fitting the carrier on the car, I always struggle, very heavy! It is blowing a gale here this morning, I am going to friends in Delft for coffee but will be lazy and go in the car, then having lunch here in the village with my swimming friend, his wife has been in the hospital for 10 weeks after an operation, she will be home tomorrow, I asked if he fancied lunch to catch up on everything and he did! That was a spur of the moment decision.

Nana, did you find your specs? I was looking for something the other week, shed, garage etc etc, never found what I was looking for! I do know they are somewhere in the garage, but, where!

                          Sunny but very windy.

Lizzie, hope you enjoy lunch with your friend.

Nana, have those elusive specs turned up?

Plant, i have heard about pixels on tv's about dying, especially if the screen has been pressed to hard, as can sometimes happening when cleaning the screen.

                            Good morning everyone.
Sunny but windy here. Someone's wheelie bin had blown over in the night, OH said she heard the wind, but I must have been asleep.

Nice social day for you Lizzie. Take care in that wind!

My mum is going to her friend's house this afternoon. I will do her shopping first, then drop her off at her friends house. I have a couple of Click and Collect items (for the holiday I am probably not going on ) to pick which I will do while mum is at her friend's.
Minutes to finish, so I will get on with that this morning.

                            Have a good day ladies.

Good morning everyone. It's bright and sunny here with a very brisk wind. Ideal drying weather, but the lawn's still too wet to walk on to get to the whirlygig thingy.

Nothing much planned for us - perhaps we'll get to do some loft sorting out, OH's busy life permitting. Bless him, he's been busy with his charity work this week as well as helping to put various items on eBay for a friend who can't do it himself.

Gem - I hope you mum enjoys going to see her friend. I hope you get all the other jobs done, even the sad one of picking up the Click and Collect.

Lizzie -what a nice busy day for you. Your swimming friend must be very pleased his wife will be home tomorrow. Ten weeks is a long time in hospital.

Nana - have you found them yet?

Plant - how annoying if your tv is ok, but it's just the screen that's going. I don't suppose repairing it is an option these days.

I hope Oma is enjoying her little break in Harrogate. xx

Just a quick message, I went to friends in Delft for coffee, he is 93 years old and decided he doesn't want to be driving any longer!!! A wise decision, his wife is 83 so has a few years to go yet.
