Good morning everyone.
Nice to see you Missy 😊
Get the ironing done early in case it gets hot Nan2!
I hope Daisy's son got home yesterday, and that the Daisies can get home to their own bed.
Holiday morning for us. I have showered and washed my hair. More or less packed, we will leave here around 10. I will be in touch later. My first time either glamping or any other form of camping!
Have a good weekend everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good moaning each!
Sitting here listening to Tony Blackburn on R2 ‘Sounds of the Sixties’. He sounds exactly the same as he always did, the jokes are still bad, but the music is great 😁. I’m imagining all us 70+ people bopping around the house...
The dusting still hasn’t taken place. After buying and sending back so many swimsuits I thought I’d have a go at making one. Ever hopefull. 😬
It’s very dark and wet outside, I hope it cheers up.
We are going out tonight! To a restaurant no less....it’s a friends big birthday celebration. We are assured all will be socially distanced. This is a first since lockdown.😬
I must gird my loins and brave the rain, I have yet another return for Hermes to deliver. Boy, do I keep him busy.
It’s great to hear from Missy again. 😁 Gem you are very brave! I hope you have a good time.
Have a good weekend ladies.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

Grauntie, that is what I think of Tony Blackburn, the music is good but oh dear, his jokes! I hope you manage to make a swimsuit, do you have Decathlon in the UK? They have really good swimwear. Just had a look and it is in the UK, I have this one and it is so comfy, https://www.decathlon.co.uk/w-swimsu...d_8560296.html
Still far too hot here and just a few drops of rain yesterday, maybe later today.
Have a good holiday Gem.
Oma, everything costs money!!!! I was at DS2 yesterday and they said they were getting prices in for a screen door, I said I would get them it for their new house, I came home and went to the DIY place here in the village and almost passed out at the price!!!! He did have one for next to nothing for me, same make just an older model, after phone messages etc they said they would have it, then, they can't be shortened so it was all of 1cm too long!!!!! The difference in price was................€700!!!
They will decide what they want to do.Last edited by Lizzie48; 15-08-2020, 07:34 AM.

Morning ladies! Trying to psych myself up to get ready to head down to Suffolk for the week. Not having much success so far. Time spent at DD's has thrown my schedule into disarray! We don't have to leave until this afternoon thankfully.
Grey and murky out there so I think we will need to pack wet weather gear. Will be thinking of Gem in her pod!
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you're up to!xxBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Good morning one and all. It’s cool and drizzling here. We’re still at DS1’s, and are not sure yet what our plans will be for the coming week.
It’s surprising how little time I have to come on here for a chat, so please forgive me. I’ll read back posts when I can, but just wanted to say “hello”.
Xxx

Have a good week Gemini and Wee Granny, hope you get some fine but not too hot weather.
It has been lovely to have some old friends popping in.
That does seem a lot of money Lizzie, is it one to keep the flies out? I could have done with one of those recently.
Is there anything you don't tackle Grauntie, making a swimsuit seems a difficult task even for you. Is it a one piece or a bikini you are wanting? I have two for Aqua, they are from M&S. We keep the Hermes man very busy too. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Morning all.
Gem have a good “glamp” DD has done it few times.
WG Enjoy your break as well
Oma good news for C.
Daisy I ‘m glad DS is home . I’m sure you’ve been a big help to DIL.
Missy I always loved hearing about your life “down under” and I’m so glad you’ve popped back.
Grauntie and Lizzie I like Tony Blackburn’s music. My era !😀
I have just been to get the paper. They are outside and you just chuck the money in a bucket. I always count out the cash before I go but last week I had to buy a dearer paper so this week I remembered to pay my debt and throw in what I owed.Ir rained on me on the way home!
I ‘ve only left the village once since April and that was for a blood test! When I can get out again( shielding and very reduced bus service anyway) it will be so odd and sad to be without G.
I do hope Enfys is as well as she can be. xx

Had a nice visit with DD and GS1 this morning , GS is keen to start driving lessons , he’s 16 in September so we said we would help towards lessons on private tracks till he’s old enough to take adult lessons then he will know the basics .
There is a driving school near by who take pupils from age of 14 so DD going to arrange some
He’s growing a beard and it’s coming along nicely , he went to a Turkish barber the other day had it trimmed and shaped ,
