Good morning Nanto and all who follow. It's already very hot here, and I suppose will only get hotter.

I'm taking Eva over to DS2's at lunch time and then we're going up to spend the afternoon with DIL'1 family, celebrating two birthdays. I dread to think what the roads will e like, but hopefully most of the traffic will be travelling in the opposite direction to us!

Plant, that is annoying about your car, and so unfair when they don't leave a note if they are aware they have done it.
Oma, I didn't speak to DD1 yesterday. I didn't hear from her though, and with both her and DD3, no news is generally good news! I am about to text her, to see what she thought of the house she viewed.

No plans today Another hot one it seems! DD2 and I were saying this weekend, this is the weather we need next weekend when we are both away.
A book and sunlounger under the parasol may be calling

Sunny with a slight breeze here today. GS2 and his partner arrived yesterday evening, they stayed overnight but are off to Windsor today to friends.

I don't have any plans today, apart from a bit of deadheading.

Morning ladies
ive been quite busy this morning considering lack of sleep ,

I cleaned through downstairs during night so only had hoovering this morning ,

put a white wash in got that done , emptied recycle and kitchen bin ,
re arranged some ornaments and got rid of a couple ,

Cleaned my glass tables can’t do them during night you need daylight to see any marks

I then took a leaf out of Daisys book and I have made 8 cheese & Onion Scones and 8 Cherry & Sultana ones
Kept one of each out and cooked them for later and the rest have gone in the freezer ready to cook when we fancy one .

B pressure hosing the drive he keeps stopping to rest , we have had this discussion many times he’s not up to it now I’m determined next year I’m paying someone to do it ,
Its too much for him .
SIL said he would do it but he’s so busy with the shop he hasn’t time his days off are taken up with his own jobs never mind ours .

It’s so much better Gem healing nicely , under my chin still numb and the scar is sore but I’m really fine now , starting to feel loads better just need to get a decent nights sleep and I’ll be like a spring chicken

Morning all.

We have just come in from a walk before it gets too hot out there. Had a few problems walking as the old arthritic toes don't want to bend !

The new upgraded broadband was installed without too much of a problem. Openreach said it would take 2 hours max when in fact it took almost 3 hours but I have to say that the engineer did a very tidy job, hardly any mess at all. Can't say I've noticed any great change in download speed at the moment, I will be able to judge better when I download a film from Sky.


Oma you may well have to bite the bullet and get someone to pressure wash the patio if it's too much for B . OH is finding it hard to cut the hedge. We have said that perhaps next year will would think about paying someone to do it for us.

All this talk about scones reminds me of when I used to make my own. I would bake a lot and put some in the freezer for another time .

We both thoroughly enjoyed our day in Pontefract.
Good weather,not too hot.Lovely meal at a cafe we have been to before.
Managed to get all that i wanted,and mams stuff.
We haven't done any grocery shopping as the supermarket we like was too far in the wrong direction.
To be honest,we only needed milk, so called at the local shop for that.

Clouded over now,but still very warm.

A sad morning for our community, as Enfys dear husband has passed away.
She is in all our thoughts today.

Not sure what my plans for the day are. I will update tonight.
