Your graphic made me chuckle too Nan2. Thank you all for your kind thoughts. You're right I did sleep well & woke around half nine. Oma thank you for posting last night for me. You're really thoughtful. (I won't go on or your head won't fit through the door). Sorry you're still hurting. A bit of peace & quiet will do you good.
Enfys I hope P will be ok on this next lot of meds. You must both feel mentally exhausted. I'm with you on slugs. I've found two on different occasions in the living room. Double doors open onto the garden so not surprising what sneaks in there.๐ Got to be careful tho as slugs & dogs don't mix.
Gem was S close to her Aunt? Loosing one of my Aunty's almost broke my heart as she was like a mum to me. Plant where on earth do you get all your energy from? Hope that cold doesn't hang about. You'll feel great satisfaction when it's all done & dusted ...literally.
Mimi your graphics had me in stitches & yuck!

Nana, S was quite close to her aunt. We were touched that when she found out we had got married she sent us a card, money and her good wishes. She also said it explained why S was so happy when we saw her at D's niece's wedding!
She has suffered from Parkinson's in recent years, and the dementia that can go with it and was in a nursing home for the last year or so.
GS and I have drawn pictures, done several jigsaws and watched some CBeebies. Next we shall be making buns ๐โA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.โ โ Unknown

Have had a lovely afternoon with our visitors.
They knew we were having fish and chips,so asked if they could join us.
We were more than happy for them to come early.
Had a really good catch up, with plenty of laughter.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I've got here eventually! Guess who didn't wake up till 10.45 this morning!!! My excuse is we had a rather late night - about 2 am I think. We had a lovely night out and then our friends invited us back for a birthday nightcap (any excuse). Please remind me not to drink Scotch when my last proper meal had been lunch. I was very lucky not to have a hangover!
We had to scramble to get our bins out for collection this morning! OH pulled trousers and jumper on over his pjs to take everything out into the cul de sac just as the van trundled towards them!
We had a quick trip into the village to get our flu jabs - another job off The List!
Nanto - it's always great to have a good laugh with friends. Plus fish and chips - even better.
Clover - what did you decide to do this afternoon?
Enfys - you did well to get the lawn done. It's good to hear P is feeling ok. Hopefully the current round of chemo won't tire him so much.
Plant - you've done a good job - all that cleaning and sorting out. What a pity about your blinds though.
Gem - do give S my condolences about her auntie. She sounds a lovely lady. I hope it isn't dark when you're doing the GC taxi service.
Nana - well done - you coped with yesterday like a trouper. Glad you slept well. Onwards and upwards, now. xxx
Mimi - yuk, what a way to find a slug. We get lots and I collect them up and put them on the wooden lid of the compost bin for the birds to feast on! Luckily Eva ignores them.

Daisy I don't have to take these GC anywhere, apart from the school run. They are always dropped off and picked up from here, so once back from school I'm home
OH said the funeral was a nice one, and she got to catch up with some of her family.
I think its great that you could sleep late and catch up Daisy
I was thinking of fish and chips tonight, like Nan2, but gave OH the choice of takeaway and she chose Chinese. We phoned to order it and I will collect it at 8.โA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.โ โ Unknown

Good morning, Nanto, Nana and Minnie Mouse!
Our weather forecast for today is rain, rain and then more rain! But I have plenty to keep me occupied in the house - how can I resist the siren call of the sucky up thing and its friend the yellow floppy thing!! DS1 and family are coming down late afternoon for OH's birthday and a takeaway. At least I don't have to cook and it will be lovely to see them all.
Whatever you're doing, have a good Saturday.

Good morning. lots of rain here too Daisy. Luckily, we donโt have to go out so will find things to do inside. Thereโs always a cupboard to be sorted etc. I ordered some more coffee for our machine yesterday and itโs due today, we are trying caramel and chocolate flavoured this time, DD recommendation, so am looking forward to trying them out.
Otherwise, an easy day for us today, if the rain stops I might try and get out for a short walk, but donโt know how likely that is. It might mean more knitting time ๐๐ผ๐. Have a good day everyone, How are you feeling today Nana?"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

Good morning ladies (and Minnie)
I have to report it is dry and bright here with blue skies
I'm another with no real plans. We may go to see our friends, one of who is the lady who had the knee replacement. She came home yesterday, so may not feel like visitors today, we shall see.
Have a good Saturday everyone.โA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.โ โ Unknown
