Good morning Nan2 and friendly mouse. I hope you find your in laws well.
Good morning everyone else.
Oma I hope your brother had a good night.
Lovely sunny day again. Nothing planned , but OH said she may go over to my mum's to do some more weeding. I don't think I will go as my knee was very bad yesterday. If I go there are things I will want to do in the house which all require standing, which makes it worse. I will try to rest it today.

Morning ladies
Gem best to rest up don't aggravate it , your Jos at Mums can wait.
How's GS's eye now ?
Nanto hope in-laws are well are you managing to get their Friday fish & chips ?
Lovely sunny morning. B making french stick Bread and I have sorted out my cleaning stuff,
Had stuff in different cupboards so I have organised it all and now everything is in utility cupboard with washing powder . I must stop buying stuff till I get rid of some .
I found 3 bottles of bleach under the sink that had been pushed to the back , I thought I had none , 2 air fresheners and 2 antibac sprays .
Under my sink sort of goes into the corner , you know that space under the work tops you can't get to, I usually just store stuff I'm not using there but stuff gets pushed back into it and you don't see it .
Anyway all done now .
Haven't heard from my niece yet about Brother it depends when she rings Hospital.

Gem, take care with your knee.
Oma, I am the same as you for storing cleaning things etc. Just the other day I got a shelf emptied in the hall cupboard and brought a few things upstairs out of my "store" shed! You can buy a "cleaning vinegar" here, very good for so many jobs, it was on offer in the supermarket 6 bottles in one buy, so, I have enough to last me a while, plus the rest of what I have!
DS1 and partner get the key to their new house next month, I am busy making them a hamper for them for their store cupboard! He will say "Oh, oh, that is my mother"! Apparantly I bought so many cleaning, washing liquids etc when he moved into his house that he is still using them, that was 21 years ago this month!!

Good morning early birds, and everyone who drops in later.
Yes, another lovely sunny day for us, too. I must get out and do some gardening today, before we get any big changes in the weather. It's all too easy to think this weather will last for ever!
Oma - I hope your brother's had a good night and things are looking up. It's amazing how things hide in the back of cupboards, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who is guilty of accidentally hoarding things.
Gem - yes, you definitely need a day of rest. Relax and enjoy the sunshine. I hope your knee feels better for it. xx
Lizzie - how exciting for your DS1 and partner after all the uncertainties that they will finally get the key to their new house. I had to smile at you making up a hamper for them - that is exactly what I've done for my sons over the years right from when they first went off to uni! Needless to say all the cleaning products came back at the end of the three years!!
Nanto - do your in-laws have a garden or anywhere they can sit outside? I hope they're ok.
Avo - if you're looking in, I do hope you're feeling ok after your trip to hospital yesterday. Sending hugs. xxx
Well, must get on - we haven't put the bins out yet, but I didn't wake up until just before 9!

Morning all you early risers. Not sure what to do today, might dust the sitting room, or might not. I would so so love to go shopping so I could choose my own stuff. My GD's partner brought me a few bits I needed from Waitrose. I now have 6 almost black bananas, a chinese cabbage, instead of a lettuce, the wrong tomatoes and an enormous bag of carrots. My GD was going to get the bits, she knows what I usually buy but she handed the list to her partner as she was working late. I can't complain I am lucky to have a GD who works at Waitrose. Anyone got a recipe for a chinese cabbage?
That bread sounds good Oma, Hope you get some better news of your brother today.
Good idea to rest those knees Gemini, very good of S to go and weed the garden. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

I know what you mean Daisy, it is easy to imagine we are in Sumner now and good weather will continue. We keep checking the forecast for the days ahead to check more fine weather is coming!
Plant, it is hard to do someone else's shopping and to have it done for you, I'm sure. Not sure about Chinese cabbage recipes!
Lizzie, I'm sure the hamper will be appreciated
I have just paid the deposit on next year's villa. Fingers crossed!!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I think, or I hope I am getting somewhere with my prescription for my AF. I eventually got through to the hospital pharmacy and they said to get the Dr's secretary to send them a copy of the prescription, they have a delivery service. The secretary seemed to know what I needed, so fingers crossed. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Lizzie I have several bottles of white vinegar I use it a lot in cleaning .good old fashioned ideas always work best . Good luck to them in their new home xx
Plant I know what you mean , my DD gets bits for me and don't get me wrong I really appreciate it but it's never quite what I would pick or the brand I like , but beggars can't be choosers as they say xx
Daisy it's like a summer day today so easy to be fooled as you say xx
Not much news on Brother apart from he had more bloods taken and urine sample and he had ate some toast this morning . So frustrating not being able to see for ourselves how he is and be able to tell Drs if he's not acting like himself or if we concerned about treatment. We just have to trust in them .
