Nanto I don't think we have any thunderstorms to come although we could do with one ,

Gem good to hear Kitty eating again but best to still see the Vet , Busy day Friday have you anything planned ?

Plant it was very stuffy wasn't it , hope you don't nod off at the coffee morning

My room is finally finished , I re upholstered my French chair yesterday it still needs the edging on I will go for that tomorrow when Storm goes to his Grans ,
Still need Carpet putting back under the door track but that will have to wait till DD & SIL back from holiday

Did a quick clean this morning then went to DD's
Fed and cleaned the cats out and while Storm played in garden I portioned some food out I had put in fridge to defrost yesterday ,
enough for next couple of days , in this heat although its in the fridge I didn't want to do too much at one time ,

Came home emptied the washer and hung washing out
Then I took Storm for a long walk before it gets too hot , He's flat out in Garden now and I feel tired too

Thunderstorms, I see they are forecast here after today, hope it cools down with them, it was 50 degrees on my balcony yesterday and that is HOT! Got everything closed in here and the fan on to cool me down, only thing is when I move the heat hits me. It is a year ago today that DS1 had the aneurysm , luckily he is doing well. They will be home on Friday from their holiday, then back to school again next week.

DD did something similar for us a few years ago when we were in Scotland, she rang the hotel and order the wine but just as she came to make the payment the phone cut off .... how convenient

Happy Tuesday one and all. I’m sitting in the garden at DS2’s. Allpeaceful while the girls get dressed after a good splash about in the paddling pool. It won’t last of course.

Oma, your busy day started early! I portion dog food then refreeze it, then get it out a ew hour before I need it, or rather. Before Eva needs it. Dog training for us tonight. OH is going to stay home with Bailey, just in case it thunders.

Blood done at Asda, always so efficient there. I browsed the clothes and bought a couple of summer tops which will do for Florida. I bought a few groceries too. I am now in the garden under the parasol having lunch.
Vets appointment is at 5.20. OH will be back before that, so hopefully we can go in her car. My Aircon isn't working , and this cat gets stressed enough in the car even when it's not hot. The vet and I were quite worried about her last time, she got into quite a state, hyperventilating etc.

OH has just spent ¾ hour on the phone to the bank trying to book an appointment for me for tomorrow to open an account to handle my cousin’s finances. Isometimeswonder in what way is all the technology an improvement. 🤨

Good afternoon ladies, sunny but very humid in my part of Devon today. Pottered around doing odd jobs, no rushing for me today. Walked the beasts which was a sticky task in the muggy air,kept on leads today as Shiloh has found cow pat's on 2 consecutive days,and I didn't want to do yet another bath day 😣. Came home and the walked to village shop for a few items, made apple and plum crumble for dessert tonight. B went to visit T at Exeter hospital and was allowed to escort her for her ultrasound scan. She has a gall stone it seems,this is why she has been uncomfortable and having problems going to the loo. Doctor will discuss the options for treatment with her tomorrow. B said she was quite upbeat and was thrilled I sent him in with fresh PJ's and undies.
Off to sit in the garden with a nice cup of tea, catch up later.

OH is here so we can go to the vet in her car. Fish pie for tea, so apart from veg minimal cooking tonight. Too hot to stand cooking!

Very hot and muggy here today. Something is rumbling in the distance, it could be thunder though I don't think it's forecast.

T's gallstone is probably because she's not drinking enough Libra. But as Gem says at least it can be easily sorted. Glad she was happy to see dad.

Went to Tesco's this morning to get a few bits and pieces for DS's visit and bought a cooked chicken which will do for tonight's dinner. Some salad and crusty bread will be all we need in this heat!

Hope visit to vet finds out what's wrong with puss Gem.

Hope Enfys is enjoying North Devon. OH is from near Minehead and I enjoy going down the North Devon coast. Like Ilfracombe and Lynton and Lynmouth...walk down the hill and the railway back up again!

That must have been a worry for all the family Lizzie48. Hope their holiday went well

Looking a bit overcast now, not sure if we are expecting a storm. Coffee morning was enjoyable as usual, won a tin of baked beans and a tin of pears in the tombola. Collected the final paperwork for my week in Norfolk in a couple of weeks. Family just got back from Yorkshire yet, GD1 and her partner moved back into the cabin last night from looking after partner's GM so we are back now to full compliment. GS1 and GGS are not feeling well, both have sore throats.

Drizzle here with threat of a storm, had lovely e mail from the lady who arranges funding for DDs care re our concerns over lack of 1 to 1. Being investigated as they are supposed to notify her if things aren't working out. Hopefully it will get sorted. Big pow wow soon about DD and her future,we will be attending.

Back from the vets.Vet and I agreed to just watch and wait for now as she is better than she was. He can feel nothing amiss in her tummy or glands and she's in no pain and not dehydrated.
Her teeth are not in a good state, as we have been told before, but nothing which needs attention or would-be suddenly putting her off her food. He thinks she may have had an infection which she is getting over on her own, added to the hot weather decreasing her appetite. He said to come back if she doesn't improve, or gets worse. He was reluctant to put her through blood tests at her age (19) and we agree. He kindly didn't charge me anything for the consultation and examination.
She ate a bit of tea and drank cat milk once we got in, so fingers crossed she continues to eat better again.

That's good news Gem. This heat doesn't help even Storm isn't eating like he normally does.

Well we have a big thunder storm going on and the stupid Dog refuses to come indoors he's sitting in the rain watching the sky.
I'm going to make him come in I don't like the smell of wet dog

Had a nice surprise visit this afternoon from Martin & Clare they stayed 3 hours lots of laughter as usual. Pleased I have walked Storm before this rain came down
