General clearing up today.I think it’s too hot for our walk
DD is due back from American holiday at midday. I think it’ll be as hot at Heathrow as where they’ve just come from in California so not too much of a weather shock.

Hola everybody tried a couple of times to get on got as far as my password and it kicked me out !
Arrived safe and sound with the kids felt very strange taking 3 kids in the Plane far away from the parents and walking through the the airport in Spain they were perfectly behaved and all three slept halfway through the flight .
Lots of shouting and laughing in the pool, slept like logs , and this week all parents here , chaos now , I hear the weather is good with you too but at least we have air conditioning and a pool to dip into , they all go back on Friday and it will be so quiet will try and get back on when more quiet take care xx

It probably is a bit hot for a walk Clover.

I went to Tesco for various things to temp the cat. I also bought a tub of Celebrations (In Tesco at £4 a tub atm) as a gift for our hosts.

Daisy poor old Duckie I'm surprised he's lasted this long hahaha. We have several toys with no eyes, or a leg missing, or a head hanging off. All without stuffing 😀

Libra - I'm sorry I missed your post this morning. I do hope the scan will pinpoint any problems for T then they might be able to get a better treatment plan in place for her. xx

Enfys - safe journey. I like Barnstaple, and the hotel sounds lovely.

Qwerty - well done to all the GCs for being such good travellers on the way out there. I bet it's busy with the whole family there - but there's always a siesta (get into Spanish habits early on!) and cooling off in the pool. It's lovely to hear from you. I hope J is enjoying himself too. xx

Oma - we probably won't walk Eva and Bailey at all unless it goes a lot cooler. Eva has no 'slow down' button and she'll encourage Bailey to do more running round than is good for him - he's got a very thick, black coat and is a bit on the portly side. Duckie has done very well - and Bailey's left most of the stuffing in, so Eva hasn't even noticed!

A productive day in spite of the heat! Washed down the kitchen windows and back and front doors to get rid of the cobwebs which have been gathering lately. OH remarked how good they looked now!
Then I sorted out rubbish to take to tip next time we go. It's all together so we won't (Ha!Ha!) forget anything.
Now I've move the contents of the filing cabinet back into their proper home and DS can have his bed when he arrives on Wednesday.
In between doing all this I had a few rests on the hammock.
Now I'm off for a shower and a nice cooling drink.

Thanks Nan2. She's eaten a small amount today, but very little.

We had very nice afternoon with our friends, with lovely food. Such a hot day, it was 31 degrees here. We were glad of parasols in the garden 😎☀️

Gem, good to hear that kitty has at least eaten something, even though it's not much. I hope she's feeling much better by the time she goes to the vets. xx

WeeGranny - you have been a busy bee, and you've certainly earned that nice cooling drink. This is perfect weather for a hammock.

I've caught up with the washing, which dried very quickly, apart from the last load which didn't go out until 5 pm. I've left it out on the line - it'll dry tomorrow. I even did a tiny bit of ironing, but don't worry, there's plenty left!

By 6 ish it had cooled down so I cut the lawn again - it's still very long and I'm cutting it shorter each time until it gets back to normal. OH thinks I'm mad!

Just our bed to make up now. I had a little Nana nap this afternoon - cut short by being kissed by Bailey!!

Enfys - I hope you've had a comfortable and cool journey and are now settled into your hotel.

Tomorrow will be busy - I'm looking after the GDs and Cooper at their house as Coops and Bailey aren't great friends. Then home, cook dinner and then off to dog training.

Good morning from sunny Devon. We had a good trip here yesterday. A mini bus picked us up, a bit late as he had been caught in traffic in the New Forest. We then drove to pick up another couple and the plan was to to Taunton to pick up the coach. But our driver was asked to take us directly to the hotel instead which was great for us. Our room is lovely, I’m sitting up in bed with a cuppa looking out over the river, it’s so peaceful. When we went down for dinner last night, the restaurant manager told us that our friend, who stays at this hotel a lot, had rung and ordered us a bottle of wine as it is our anniversary next week. So kind of her, a lovely thought.

Out this morning to a stately home and garden, lunch provided and it’s looking like a lovely day again.

Hello in Devon Enfys How kind of your friend!

The sun is out again , long may it last!
Little cat seems more herself and has eaten a bit more, but still not normally. It's good to see her seeming improved though. I will phone the vet's today and get her seen today or tomorrow.
Today I will go to Asda for blood taking, as my medication review is due.

No GS1 for me today, as I am having all 3 GC on Friday, something we aim for at least once once during school holidays. OH will be playing golf, not sure what else I will do today. There is ironing, but that will depend on how hot it gets!
