I think auntie is excited, and wanting to be off. It must be odd for her now though with 2 bedrooms and the dining room totally empty. It looked strange when I had a look round .

An early start with GS1 tomorrow, so off to bed for me too.

Bedroom cleaning for me today. Nice day for getting the bedding dry.
Then i want to portion up beef casserole that was done in slow cooker yesterday.
There is quite a lot,so will do a couple of pies with whats left.
I dare say, i will find some other jobs as well.

Dentist appt. at 10.30, very apprehensive to what she might find with an Xray, the tooth feels slightly loose, it is next to the one I had out some months ago. I am wondering if the bone healed. This is all due to me having those injections for my bones which you would imagine would make jaw bones heal. My dentist will not be able to do anything except Xray the tooth and refer me to the hospital. I am going to be full of gaps when I meet you in Birmingham. Not long before my holiday too. Will pop back later, must get showered and dressed.

I'm a bit too late for "good morning" today! Plant, fingers crossed that the trip to the dentist went well.

Nanto - I hope the bedding's drying ok.

Oma - why does it always rain or blow a hooley when we go to the hairdressers!

Gem - have a lovely day with GS1. He enjoyed his last stay, so hopefully he'll feel brave enough to stay again tonight.

My relatively early night did me no good at all. At 3 am I was woken by the phone! Arrrrgghghhhh! Then I couldn't get back to sleep for two hours. I'll try again tonight.

It's obviously going to be one of those days. I went to collect the girls and Cooper this morning, and Cooper refused point blank to get in my car. Yesterday he banged his head on the newly fitted dog guard and was wasn't going to risk it attacking him again! After half an hour of coaxing I rang DS2 and he came and managed to persuade him to jump in. He's far too big and heavy to lift, and in any case if he's frightened I don't want to make it worse. It will be interesting to see if he'll get in to go home tonight.

At least the sun's shining today.

My dentist found the crown was loose and the root is split, she removed the crown but I have to go to a hospital to get the root removed. . After my last experience of our local hospital, I have decided to go private. The appt isn't until October.

I hope Cooper will get in your car to go home Daisy

Plant - oh dear, having the root removed doesn't sound much fun. I hope you're not in pain with it.

I'll try turning my car the other way round, just to break the routine and try and get him in without putting a lead on. We shall see!

The GDs are playing a game which seems to involve hiding in the airing cupboard - each to his or her own.

I think the most painful bit will be paying for all the treatment needed. I hope the gaps are filled in before Birmingham.

Good afternoon 🌞. Just home after a lovely day out with DD. It’s been ages since we’ve had a girls day out, so nice to spend some time with her on our own. We went to Southampton, as she wanted to go to Ikea, had a good mooch around the shops, a very nice Chinese for lunch and lots of chat. Feeling very tired now but had such a nice time. P was busy at home, more sorting in the garage, a trip to the dump (such fun!) so a productive day for him.

We are going to have a relaxing evening, no cooking for me, in fact I’m still very full so fruit only will be plenty for me. It turned out very warm again so fingers crossed it will remain nice for our few days away next week.

Ouch Plant, shame about the tooth. Hope it’s not too painful......and not too heavy on your purse either.

Hope you can get Cooper home ok Daisy.

Afternoon ladies ,
Plant I have lost haf my big filling in my back tooth , luckily its root filled , rang dentist and she said if its not causig a problem just to wait till my check up in October then they will take it out , had several fillings and crowns so just have it out is best option , it costs so much doesn't it ,

Daisy poor Cooper it must have hurt for him to be afraid to get I again .

Enfys sounds a lovely day with your DD it breaks the week up too giving you something other than Hospital appointments

Gem has GS2 decided to stay over then ?

Nanto hope you got bedding dry , it stopped raining and was quite a nice day after all .

Had my hair cut and I feel more human now but boy is it a lot more grey than I thought , the shorter it is the more grey you can see

Oma, i did get the bedding dry,and the towels.Had plenty of sunshine today.

3 portions of beef casserole in the freezer. I had enough pastry for 4 pies.Should keep us going a bit.

Oma, GS not staying over no. In fact he was complete little s*d after his mum arrived, having being a good boy and having a great day I feel so sorry for my DD.

I will write more in YEO about that, and about our day on the thread for that.

Enfys - what a lovely day with your DD. It does you the world of good to do something different sometimes - even if it is a trip to Ikea. I always love going to the top of the car park there - it feels like you're on top of the world with that fantastic view of the docks! Sad, aren't I!!!

Military campaigns have been planned with less attention to detail - but I got Cooper back into my car. First of all I backed the car up to the front door and opened the tailgate, and the roof to let air in. Then I got the girls to gather all their belonging and get in the car. I put a handful of frozen sprats in a little poly bag, letting Cooper have a good chance to sniff at it, then I held it just in front of his quivering nose, out of the door, into the car with no trouble. He got his payment in sprat currency! LOL I just hope I haven't set a precedent.

Nanto - we've had plenty of sunshine today as well, but I'm still surprised that after all that rain, some plants still needed watering tonight.

Plant - I'm sure you are more consscious of any gaps than anybody else is, but probably a wise move to go privately.

Oma - I hope you don't have any problems with that tooth before your check up. I've had to cancel my check up for this Thursday because of going back up north for the funeral, so I must rebook that tomorrow.
