Well surprise- surprise DS isn't coming now
Work has sent him to London on a emergency meeting , I wouldn't believe him but he sent me a photo of him on the train and his ticket to prove he isn't lying

Has promised Friday as we are out both tomorrow and Thursday tea time , so we have just been down to his house and put GS2's card and money through the letter box

We then popped into Lidl as its beside where they live and I bought another two large Lilys in Orange and Yellow for £3.49 each , Just as well I have spare pots
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, can't ever remember having 8 hours sleep.
How disappointing for you,not to see the GC.

Plant, pleased your eye is feeling slightly better.

WeeGranny, hope you get some relief from the hayfever.

Clover, welcome home, although you feel a bit down. Hope you perk up soon.
Did you get the grass cut?

Very exciting Enfys, it will be lovely to see your Australian family.

It it has been very overcast here most of the day with a cool breeze.

How disappointing Oma that son has had to cancel his visit with the GC, I am sure O will be pleased to have his card and present.

Clover I am sure you feel a bit lost when you get back from staying with your family and have to face organizing workmen to see to jobs. I know we have mentioned before that moving closer to family isn't an option.

          Evening all
Clover I agree with all that others have said, although you could do without it your doing a Stirling job with G and dealing with the mundane parts of life, your an inspiration to us, it’s always difficult for you when you have been at Dds wished I lived nearer 😘
Oma another disappointment for you with DS but sounds like it couldn’t be helped , I guess because he knocks so often it doesn’t help does it chin up lady
Enfys difficult times for you, but lots of good chats with DS will help, think it’s a good idea for them to stay elsewhere , you also have enough on as it is , enjoy the family get together it will be good to have all you’re family round you.
I ve had a leisurely day we went to a leisure park sort of Nanto will have heard of it, Pugneys, it’s a big lake with water sports , and a lovely walk round the lake takes about an hour to get round, had a coffee first sat outside the Boat Cafe , and then lunch at the Swan and Cygnet which Nanto may know , then went to swimming to catch up with dil and g/c having swimming lessons , DS calling tonight with Dds present for tomorrow .
Plant hope the eye keeps improving we always have something to worry about don’t we .

Daisy I found a jar of Pasta bake in the cupboard so I made that and served it with some fresh veggies.Strawberries, melon and Elmlea for pud.

Nanto yes I did get the grass cut.It was a hot job.

Oma ,a shame DS couldn’t make it today.I hope the children weren’t too disappointed.

Enfys I bet you can’t wait to see your family. What English sweets did you get?

Both my DSs suffer badly with hay fever ,mainly with eye symptoms. It’s usually at it’s worst in the Summer exam season.

Plant fingers crossed your eye is on the mend.

                Evening All.
Yet another scintillating day here! Took my car in for a service and MOT. Work required will cost nearly as much as it is worth! It’s still the cheapest option though.
Big toe joint is painful, I will consult Dr Google.
                Nothing I fancy on TV.
                Now I will stop moaning.

Still a bit of a nip in the air,but hopefully it will warm up.

GM,sorry to hear the car needs work.
                  Painful big toe joint,maybe gout.

                  Off to in laws later.
                  I've had a cuppa,going for a shower,then breakfast.

Hubby gone to a car boot with his brother.
As soon as he got in brothers car,my phone rang.
Answered and it was hubby saying zap the garage door will you,it's been open all night.
Not the first time he's left it open.

Jacket potatoes going in the slow cooker for dinner today.

                    Good Moaning Each.
Nanto, my OH has done the same, and with his car boot too!
How do you cook jacket pots in the slow cooker?
                    Plant, how is your eye?
Looks pleasant outside, will check when I’ve had a cuppa. I have been instructed to make Gs1’s birthday cake-a fatness sponge-as it is the only one he likes which is lucky because it is the only cake I make with any chance of success! Apart from that I’m still sewing.
                    Have a good Wednesday folks.

Haven't poked my nose out yet but it is lovely and sunny. I have to go to the warfarin clinic this morning to get my INR checked, I am having a pre-cancerous thingy removed from the side of my forehead tomorrow and they need a recent reading before going ahead with the procedure. Not sure if they will freeze it or cut it out. Too many medical appts atm.

Will you be looking at a replacement car GM? I was going to suggest it might be gout in your big toe

                          Morning.
Warm and sunny here. I’m going to water the front garden before the sun gets on it this afternoon.

Oma I’m sorry you had such a bad night. No wonder you’re tired. I expect your visitors will have a lot to tell you about their world trip.It sounds like a great experience but on thinking about it I don’t think I would like to be away that long .

Plant these medical appointments seem to come in clusters don’t they.Hope all goes well for your Warfarin check.

GM I hope today is a better one than yesterday and your poor big toe isn’t too painful.

Have a good day ladies whatever you’re up to.

Good morning, ladies. It's a beautiful sunny morning here. I've shocked myself by cleaning out the cupboard under the sink while I was making the tea. I feel very smug about that!! Hahaha.

Plant - when you get clusters of appointments like that it gets very tedious. I hope all goes well, and you eye is getting better.

Oma - poor you. You must be exhausted with so little sleep. You might get less of a headache if you resorted to half a bottle of gin - it might be better than rubbish tv! Sending hugs, though. I've often wondered what it would be like to do a trip round the world - although I don't think I'd want to be away for so long either. But I'm sure they will have lots of exciting tales to tell.

GM - ouch - you haven't stubbed you big toe, have you. Sometimes it doesn't seem much and you hardly notice then later the pain sets in. What sewing are you working on?

Nanto - I've often wondered how you do jacket potatoes in a slow cooker, but haven't liked to ask in case I was the only person in the world who didn't know. But now I know there are two of us - thank you Grauntie!

Clover - it's surprising how long the watering can take this weather! Our front garden is looking very dry and dusty.

GD2 was full of her school trip (bug hunting) yesterday. The most amazing, bestest thing ever was - riding on the top of the bus!! Oh, and she tried to count the legs on a millipede in an examination jar. But the bus was by far the best part, and it took 18 hours, she says.

Enfys - how did GS2's sleepover at your DD's go? I hope he enjoyed it.

Gem - safe journey home - we've organised sunshine for you.

We're off to lunch today at Limewood to spend the last of our vouchers! It's a bit early for our wedding anniversary, but OH has a hospital appointment that day, so we're celebrating today.

Plant its not a good time for you at the mo all those appointments
Gm you will have to stop wearing those stilletos maybe go down to a 6 in heel, gout could be the problem also my sympathy

Clover Dr. Google says gout too, I did suspect it. OK at the mo though thank you.
Plant, we did toy with the idea of replacing the muck wagon but have decided to keep it. When it gives up we will try having one car between us. Hondas go on for ever.
Daisy, I have finished the jewellery rolls and next up are shopping bags unless I can think of anything else. I totally agree about Oma and gin.
Qwerty, I wish I could wear stilettos again. I can’t keep my balance, let alone walk in heels these days.
                                Hope all appointments go well.
