DD will be bringing Storms food over today they go away on holiday at 5am in the morning so he will be coming to stay at tea time ,
he will stay a few days with us and a few days with his Gran and I will see to the cats every morning and they see to them at night .

Usual Thursday of mums shopping and picking up her prescription then visiting her. Golf for OH this afternoon.
I may deliver some leaflets this morning, or may wait until the weekend (tomorrow being GC day)

Gardening all done. Been a nice morning here.
Just as we finished dark clouds were gathering,but no rain.
Both of us been in the shower. I'm ready for something to eat now.
Hope Qwerty and OH are relaxing while GC play.

Yes Oma a very sad day for Tizzy's family, will miss not hearing about her celebrations always with a bottle of fizz.

Aqua was good, different instructor, makes a change sometimes. Popped into my favourite cafe for lunch and bumped into a teacher I worked with some years ago, lovely to catch up.
Good buy in charity shop, they had lovely wooden skirt and trouser hangers 4 for a £1 and I found a box of assorted sewing machine feet.

Nanto, when you cook a casserole in your slow cooker, do you put in veg? I find that if I freeze a casserole the carrots are not so nice. I might put just onions and mushrooms only in the next casserole just for flavour.

Plant,when i do a casserole in the slow cooker,i put everything in at the beginning.
Then mix some gravy granules to cook the casserole in.
Never had a problem with any of the veg not tasting nice.
Well never had any complaints.

Plant, I love aqua, well 50 fit they call it but it is aqua, every week something different to keep us fit! Only closednow for the holidays. Oma, what a lovely photo of the babies.

I have been out for the day, went to Otterlo, about one hours drive from here, I have been a few times with the grandchildren and know the cycle routes are fantastic there, especially with the heather blooming . I really enjoyed it, had lovely lunch on the way as well. I sent a few photo's to eldest granddaughter, asked if she could guess where I was, she did, she said " our holiday park nan". I have a good cycle carrier for the car, only not very keen on fitting it on but I do manage to do it myself then ask one of the neighbours to check if everything is tight. I almost lost my cycle a couple of years ago, as I say I like to do it myself but a neighbour helped me, one of us didn't tighten the frame, I looked in the mirror and saw my bike slowly falling!!! Panic, on a very busy road, I managed to pull off the road onto the hard shoulder and as luck would have it work men were behind the barrier, as quick as a flash everything was tightened and I could carry on. Not very nice on the hard shoulder so I was pleased they helped me. Now I tighten all the screws myself.

Good afternoon we have had beautiful weather today and a supposed heatwave at the weekend been to visit T today. Eldest DD and family visiting on Saturday on there way to Cornwall for a week. Haven't been to well for a few days massive IBS flare up, think the culprit was granary bread 😥

I got my appointment today to see the Musculoskelatal people about my knee. It's not until October.

Housework done , washing done just drying now , Fed Storm , went to see to cats feed and water them and a few cuddles , came back and walked Storm ,
He sat down and refused to move at one point as there was a lovely grey cat in our path and he waited to see if it would play , after 5 minutes I had to drag him away as he cried and tried to go back
feel like I have done a days work already , New Wardrobe doors coming some time today

Sunny here too Libra, a good forecast for the next few days.

A busy day here! OH, her golf friend and I and GD and GS2 are going to the horse sanctuary, with lunch out on the way back. We are hoping to not get caught up in the LeedsFest traffic.
Tonight I am going out for a meal. This is to support my SIL3 in his venture of pop-up restaurant evenings. This is a vegetarian taco night. I am going with a friend, and DD2 is also going with a friend, and DD and SIL1 are going. DD2 and I will travel into town together on the bus, and SIL will take the children home. OH is kindly picking my friend and me up at the end of the night. I'm glad about this, as it is York Races and there will be drunken race goers about!!

Good morning all. Quite dull here this morning, very autumnal feel in the air. Apparently we are on a mission this morning to find some wood to mend the back of a dartboard! When P went to his Men’s Shed meeting on Wednesday, the person who runs it was telling them she is involved in another community project organising sports days for people who don’t play sports! People who perhaps don’t have the opportunity to socialise or who don’t have the chance to get involved in sports. So she was asking if anyone had any old sports equipment they could donate. We have some old golf clubs and this dartboard. So himself goes off and cleans up the clubs, checks on the dartboard only to find the back of it (it’s in a sort of cupboard that opens up) is broken. So that’s what we’re up to this morning........Joy 😀. He can drop me off near am& S at the shopping centre and go off and browse B& Q, so that’s our morning sorted. However, I’m really pleased he wants to do all this as this is just his thing and shows how well he is feeling.

Otherwise no plans, have started to sort out what to take when we go away and I need to go round dead heading the geraniums, they are looking a bit sad. Have a good day everyone 🌞
