Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Nan2, I hope you find your in laws well and happy.
Daisy, I'm glad you found a way to lure Cooper in!!

    A sunny morning here.
Today we are going over to a friends for a while, with new laptop. We cant seem to get the hedgehog videos to go where the others ones are, which were taken when we had the old laptop. Also we cant easily find them where they now go! We seem unable to choose their destination, so are hoping M can help us. She will if she can.
This morning OH is going to do a couple of hours gardening for the elderly couple she works for occasionally. I have a few jobs to do around the house and will check over and send out the minutes I typed the other day. There is also the LIBDem newspaper to deliver (first since the elections!) at some point this week, so that may be today.

    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone. It's a nice sunny morning here, but there is a definite nip in the air.

Gem - I find it very frustrating on OH's laptop that it's not obvious or easy to direct files to where you want them to go, and sometimes it seems you don't even have a choice. It's so easy on my Mac - when you save something you just choose the place you want it saved to, and I can't get my head round OH's! I hope your friend can sort yours out.

We're going to have a morning of getting some admin work done for my cousin - sorting out his various bank accounts etc. Then this evening we'll take Eva to DS2's ready for an early start tomorrow. It's also GCSE results day tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed GS1 and all others waiting for results have got what they need for the next stage.

              A late Good Morning.

I’ve been busy cooking ,getting a couple of vegetarian dishes in the freezer for when our niece visits next week.
I’ve now got a pile of washing up to do. My kitchen is small and every surface is covered .Just having a coffee and brief break before I tackle it.

Gem I hope your friend can fathom out your laptop.I’d like a new laptop but wouldn’t have a clue about setting it up.

Oma I hope your visits this morning go well.

Daisy I hope your GS’s results are what he wants. What is he hoping to do next?

Plant I hope your tooth isn’t too painful and you enjoy WI.

Well that washing up won’t do itself so I’d better summon up the will to do it

WI was very interesting, a talk from a lady who supports a village in South Africa. She brought along wonderful stitched crafts by the ladies in a the village. then we had cakes and tea or coffee and chatted. I don't know about you ladies but when I am in clothes I go out in I am reluctant to change into home garb and do some work. My new printer has arrived but I will have to get someone to set it up. I feel a an audible book and some knitting will suit me fine for the afternoon.

I hope grandchildren waiting for results have pleasant surprises.

Daisy I see you are off again to your cousin's house, I hope things go smoothly.

That sounds interesting, Plant. Yes, put your feet up and enjoy your book. I have just discovered I can get audio books from the library onto my iPad, what a revelation! So nice to be read to when you’re knitting, enjoy.

A quick trip out to the supermarket this morning, Now OH is at his Men’s Shed meeting so I’ve done a bit more tidying up in the garden, finished my latest knitting project and now having a cup of herbal tea. It’s very warm and sunny here, so making the most of it.

Oh the dreaded results , im sure there will be some very nervous young people tomorrow , fingers crossed he does well but its not the end of the world if they don't get the exact results they want or need there is always a solution , but at the time a lot cant see that , with luck your GS will have sailed through xx

Plant that sounds a really interesting morning how interesting to see the needle work was it colourful ?

I know what you mean about changing I think your book and Knitting sounds a better option

Clover a busy day then , our kitchen is small so anything on the work tops makes it look cluttered

                          Oh sweet little things

Here at GransRus we officially encourage a sit down and cuppa over housework any day Plant!

My friend was very helpful with the laptop. And she served chocolate chip cookies with tea and gave us an apple crumble from her freezer to bring home!

Those babies are gorgeous. Don't they grow quickly though!!!

GS1 will probably end up doing an It course at his nearest college. His results will probably determine which level he goes in at. After that he'll try to get an apprenticeship - he doesn't want to go to uni, and he's very hands on.

We're hoping to leave early in the morning so I may not get on here. We should be back very late on Friday night, as we've got to make a detour to collect DS1's dog because they're going on holiday on Saturday! But at least our neighbours are back on Saturday so I'll only have one day of cats plus an extra dog.
