Oma, how rude of the Pope not to come and say hello to you.
Mind you,he didn't say hello to us when we were there.

Enfys, 6 years sound like a long time doesn't it. But the next 6 weeks will soon pass.

Qwerty, hope you feel a bit more chipper soon.

Enfys - it's natural to want to make the most of this better weather, but I'm glad you persuaded P he needed to rest, and he put his time to good use, so a win-win. Well done on getting all your pots done - I haven't even started. You'll see such a change in your GS after 6 years - I bet you can't wait. Will they stay with you?

Oma - Sundays are a busy day for the Pope. Perhaps if you'd left it will tomorrow he would have had more time. So pleased you're having a good time.

Qwerty - special days like birthdays etc can stir up all sorts of emotions, and you must be a little bit disappointed not to see them on their 5th birthday. It doesn't seem 5 minutes, does it!

Gem - I hope you and S have had a good day by the seaside, and all the cobwebs have been blown away. x

I had good intentions of getting some gardening done this afternoon, but I sat down after lunch and didn't feel like getting up again. Hey ho - I can try and do some odd jobs tomorrow and hope that Eva and Cooper can amuse each other for a couple of hours! I think I need an early night after being up till 2 am this morning.

Enfys, how lovely to have the family visit to look forward to.
Thanks Oma, OH got your card

Well that was a busy day!
DD2 and the GC came this morning, armed with cards, presents and lovely birthday buns for OH. We had a nice time with them, then set off around midday for the coast. The sun shone and we has a lovely time. If not for the wind, it would have been a very hot day.
We had fish and chips in the restaurant we go to in summer with the GC. It was odd to be there without children! On the way home OH decided that she would like to call in on her brother, which was a bit of a detour for me. We stayed quite a while, then eventually got home well after 8 to feed the poor starving cats!

Gem - it was certainly a busy day, but from the photos on FB you enjoyed a lovely walk on a deserted beach! Did the fish and chips taste even better after all that fresh air? You're certainly doing a lot of driving while S is out of action. Did the cats tell you off for being late with their suppers?

I made some bread tonight and then decided it was too early to start getting dinner so I went and weeded part of the greenhouse and did some watering around the garden. I'm ready for my early night now!

Good morning, everyone! I seem to be first up today.

It was a chilly night, but the sun's out so I'm hoping it will warm up a bit. Have a good day everyone. I'm off to pick up cooper - see you later.

Good morning, and it's another beautiful start to the day.

Nothing special planned, apart from DS2 and his girlfriend coming for dinner.
Told them it won't be anything special, just scampi, homemade chips and garden peas.
Followed by blackberry and apple pie with custard. Both of them were pleased with the menu.
We have our main meal at what most of you call lunchtime.

              Off to in laws soon.

Good morning Daisy and Nan2 - and everyone else.

I hope Cooper is a good boy Daisy. I certainly did enjoy those fish and chips more because of the fresh air and walking yesterday. And because you have to climb a steep hill from the beach to get up to the cafe!!
Nan2, call it lunch or dinner, I would like that menu too

                The sun is out
I only have one regular client now (my ex next door neighbour) I go to him about once a month and this afternoon is the day.
I need to see my mum too and take her a couple of things.
DD3 and SIL are coming to eat with us tonight, which we are looking forward to. They have been vegetarian (but occasionally eat fish) for over year now, so we are having veggie enchiladas tonight.

Have a good day, and week, everyone.

Sun shining here too, we sat in the garden yesterday but there was still a cool breeze and the sun kept going behind big clouds. Really enjoyed my time with GS4, he came back after lunch and we joined DD, Sil plus his mother, GS1, his wife and my GGS. Don't get to talk to GS4 on his own very often, he usually retreats to his bedroom when I visit their house. I must say he is a very good driver. Bowls for me this afternoon and Embroidery Group talk this evening.

I hope Eva and Cooper behave themselves Daisy, so you can get some gardening done.

Your day out sounded just what you needed Gemini.

Nanto, I am sure DS2 and girlfriend will enjoy their meal with you, especially the apple and blackberry pie.

Slept very well last night after a day in the sunshine and relatively fresh air of London! Some photos on media.

Hope this wonderful sunshine is reaching all parts of the land and that everyone is enjoying it.

OH managed to lose his Tesco card on Saturday. Thinks he left it in the Pay at the Pump when buying petrol. Someone in China had already tried to use it, but it's now stopped and we shall get new ones. Now he can't find mine which I gave him with the number to call!!! Hopefully DD will find it somewhere in their house later. Men.....what would you do with them? Best not to answer that!!

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies x

How on earth does someone in China know about a Tesco card left in a petrol pump.

Good morning Nanto, and everyone. What a pretty window box for a sunny morning.

Oma - have a great day. Eva says thanks for the cuddle - please can you come and give her some more in person on Saturday. xx

Nanto - enjoy your gardening. I'm trying to get small jobs done in between everything else, but the weeds are gaining on me! Did you have a good evening with GS and his girlfriend. Are there any leftovers - the menu sounded delicious.

WeeGranny - I hope you find your Tesco card. It's a horrible feeling when they go missing.

Gem - did you ave a lovely evening with DD3 and SIL? It must be great to have them back home.

I'm going to collect Cooper in a few minutes, but I'll try and get back on here later.
