That sounds a lovely day out for you both Clover and a bargain.

Well the new Market was a let down , we counted 8 stalls , 1 plant stall , 1 that sold pies looked nice but pricey , 2 veg stalls , 1 selling cheap toys , 1 sort of a cheap ornaments and rugs 1 burger van and 1 second hand tools stall , not exactly a market was it
Oma - it might take a few months for stallholders to start setting up there. This happened when an ancient market was restated in a town near us. It takes time for word to get round, and for stallholders who are often one-man bands to get stocked up for an extra day's trading. Plus, you'll get pop-up stalls once open season is declared for that December event - end of this month probably! Pity about the handbag potential though!

Gem - glad you're connected to the outside world again - it sounds as though it was a difficult problem.

Mimi - that's great news about your DS. I do hope his new job goes well for him.

Lizzie - I hope you managed to get your shopping done before the rain arrived.

Plant - there's always lots going on in your family. I bet it was lovely to see GGS again.

Clover, what a lovely day out, but I can imagine the heat in the glasshouse. We went to Kew Gardens one very hot day and didn't even go into the famous palm house because it was so hot. It was certainly a bargain.

Clover, a lovely but exhausting day by the sound of it. Everything is worse in intense heat isn't it? I bet it did you good to get out though. A bargain as well!
Nan2, we have bought our laptop from John Lewis, but it wasn't in stock, so we are picking it up tomorrow. It was a newer model of the one we saw in the store, more storage and the same price, so it makes sense to wait a day. We had lunch in M&S, and popped into The Range.
GS2 and GD are on holiday in Greece, so today was a free day for me.

Gem - it's lovely have a nice new computer to play with! It sounds as though you made a good choice.

I managed to get the lawn cut this afternoon - it was much warmer than I realised, so I've done a lot of watering tonight. The rest of the day seems to have been devoted to paperwork!

It's an early night for me - sleep well, everyone. Night, night.

I got my scan results back today , No Kidney stones , but the start of Osteoporosis , but its very early stages so consultant has asked Dr to put me on a high dose of Vit D again for 3 month then a lower dosage permanent to keep it at bay , im happy with that

One of the street lights is out in our Cul-de-sac and its pitch black out there what a difference one light makes .

Pleased you are happy with your scan results.
Hopefully the VitD will keep the Osteoporosis at bay.
One light makes a lot of difference Oma.
We've got the new type of lamps, they were pur in about 2/3 years ago,a lot brighter than the old street lamps.

Supermarket shopping for us,then we are hoping to do the gardening.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Oma, the good thing is the osteoporosis has been spotted early, so you can begin treatment to keep it at bay.
I think it's a good day for gardening Nan2, as there seems to be quite a lot of rain forecast next week.

Nothing much planned today, but we will probably go back to JL for the laptop.
A washload of towels are on, making the most of the dry day.

                    Enjoy your weekend ๐ŸŒ„

Good morning all. Recovering from a lovely day out in Wells yesterday. Boy, was it hot, Did so much walking, enjoyed a nice lunch and ice cream. Nothing much planned for today luckily, although I am going to Knit and natter later. Not going to knit but I have a load of info to give one of the ladies as I have done some family history research for her. So it will be lots of nattering going on ๐Ÿ˜.

Glad you scan was OK Oma. Keep taking the tablets ๐Ÿ™‚

Good grief Oma, you have done a week's work already!!!!
The laptop is an HP, as our last one was . It is silver with a white ceramic lid. I like the sound of that, but I suppose I will have to clean it more ๐Ÿ˜

                              Good morning.

Oma it always amazes me how you can clean at night. How on earth do you see it all in artificial light? Good youโ€™ve got your Vit D sorted out.I had a scan after I broke my ankle and was told I was on the verge of Osteoporosis but wasnโ€™t offered any treatment.

Enfys glad you had a nice day in Wells.I tried the knitting group in our library a couple of times but both times only 2 ladies turned up and talked to each other about WI matters so I didnโ€™t go again.I think itโ€™s gone now which is a shame for if it it was like yours Iโ€™d really enjoy it and get out for a few hours locally.

Off to get the paper on our walk.

                              Have a good day all.

Pleased you found a replacement laptop Gemini, I expect you are very anxious now to get to use it.

Oma, I get exhausted just reading about your latest spring clean, I feel if you wash paintwork down too often you need it painted more often, well that is my excuse. Slightly good news about the scan, my brittle bones were only discovered after many breaks and now I take Vitd and have a 6 monthly injection for 2 years. Then they will do another bone scan. We don't have street lights at all in our end of the village. Local residents don't want them, at least we can see the stars and quite a lot of houses have outside lights. Sorry to hear the market was a disappointment to you but hopefully it will soon take off.

Daisy, I don't envy you all the paperwork connected to your cousin's death. I hope he left everything in order.

DS and Dil are now on holiday in Valencia for two weeks. Hope they have a good time, Dil has had a lot of stress from her job recently and needs to switch off.

Not sure what today will bring, need to do some sorting out of the borders. My throat is still sore and I have a peppery nose, I wish whatever it is would either go away or develop into something and then go away

Love the graphic Nanto, I will say yes to the gin and tonic later. 10.30 is a little too early even for me.
