Plant I only actually wash them down once a week I just dust them every day, to be honest they don't get dirty. The doors get finger marks but not skirtings, it's just my habits and as I always say I live In a tiny shoe box
I bought one of those radiator dusters from JML in Asda,s the other day. Gets behind radiator,s but also brilliant for high places like my wall mounted speakers that are in corners and almost to the ceiling . Saves getting step ladders out too.
Sun was out but gone black again
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Clover I think the Knit and Natter type groups work well if there enough people, and if they are friendly .
The one you tried wasn't that way. I wonder if there are any others near you?
My friend goes to one in her local library. A pub in town has an evening one in a small room. It seems very popular with younger working women, and young mums once the children are in bed 😊

I had a bit of a bout of interior window cleaning - the window cleaner came yesterday to do the outside.
I don't know what came over me. Maybe I should lie in a dark room until the urge goes away next time

Just managed to get on here before the end of the day.

It's been a day of even more paperwork for us, but DS1 and GS1 called round and GS1 showed us how to use my cousin's phone so we can let his contacts know what has happened. I'm not looking forward to doing that at all.

Oma - thank goodness your scan was basically ok - hopefully being blasted with Vit D will stop it in its tracks.

Clover- do you take Vit D anyway?

Gem - your new laptop sounds very swish! Take it easy - you need to relax after all that window cleaning. Have a lovely day tomorrow.

Enfys - glad you enjoyed your day in Wells. Now Knit and Natter without the Knit sounds perfect to me! I'm sure the lady will be delighted with the family history you've done for her.

Qwerty - your night out sounds fun. Unfortunately we can't do anything about my cousin's funeral until after the post mortem and until I've got the death certificate. It will all take longer with being so far away. At this rate, because of OH's 2 hospital appointments it's quite possibly going to be September before we can have the funeral! Plant - unfortunately my cousin didn't leave anything in order. Strange really, because he was meticulous about some things.

Nanto - it sounds as though you've had the most sunshine today.

Qwerty, hope you enjoyed the chinese meal.

                  Cooked the filling yesterday.

Good morning everyone. Nanto - a lovely summery graphic. I have to confess I woke about 6 am, just as you were enjoying coffee in the garden, and went straight back to sleep. I'll happily have the steak and kidney pies that Oma doesn't want!

Gem - have a lovely day and enjoy your trip to Shibden Hall.

Qwerty - I hope you enjoyed your girly night out.

Oma - I hope the dam holds, too. My cousin's house is in Leek - one of the towns on the high ground near Whaley Bridge, and the rain was torrential while we were there, and they had already had heavy rain the previous week. It all just runs down into the valley where the dam is. Yes, unfortunately, we will have to sort out D's house. We've made a start on the paperwork and I cleaned the kitchen and threw away anything even slightly perishable. We'll also arrange for the funeral to be up there.

I'm hoping to get the garden tidied up today. There are weeds everywhere - just a couple of weeks of neglect and it's like a jungle! OH has to go and visit a sick friend, but I'm hoping he'll be able to help a bit. My back's not great so it will be slow work.

                        Have a good day, ladies.

Daisy, bit worried about your comment that your back's not great when you are about to start some gardening, do take care. Don't envy you having to sort out your cousin's house, hope he wasn't a hoarder.

Those poor people not being able to go back into their homes, hope they can make the dam secure soon.

Three generation Chinese sounds enjoyable Qwerty.

I think our window cleaner is due soon so I might clean the insides next week. Sil is planning a BBQ later, he will fetch his mother. Sunny here, hope it lasts, wet BBQ's are not very enjoyable. I had a strange nights sleep, woke at 3 and couldn't get back to sleep, throat sore and I had a painful ankle so I got up and took some paracetamol and then went into a heavy dreamy sleep and woke at 10am. Now I feel sluggish.

Nanto, I like steak and kidney, nice buttery mash and veg. Not forgetting the gravy.

Daisy take care when sorting out your cousins home. If your back is playing up now, be careful not to aggravate it. Take it slowly. It may take a bit longer, but that is better than putting yourself out of commission. Good luck xx
